Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hello my glorious NightClan members! So normally November 10th would be when NightClan's Activity Check ends, instead this is going to be where I make our 'Check In'.
Our check in will be similar to how an Activity Check is run but I'll waive all requirements for promotions and the need for two threads. So if you've an initiate and want to make them an apprentice, go ahead. If you want to make that apprentice a warrior go ahead.
We'll start with this being in the same format as normal activity checks:

This is the format for normal activity checks and as soon as things start being business as usual I will require all the requirements. But since we're still adapting to the move (and NightClan doesn't have a page yet), fulfilling active thread counts will be more of a request from me rather than a requirement for this month. I would be much appreciative if you do though, and it'll be good practice for when ACs begin as normal.
I also have several questions I want you to answer:
-We currently have a rank called Initiative in NightClan, this is an extra rank we have between apprentice and kit. This rank starts when the kit is 4 moons old, they're assigned a mentor and they train with them until the mentor deems them ready to become a full fledged apprentice. Upon becoming an apprentice you get paired up with a fellow apprentice you train with. This means to go from initiative to apprentice you need: a training thread with your mentor of about 10 posts To go from apprentice to warrior: you need a thread with your partner of about 5 posts. The question is: Should we keep initiatives?
-What would you like to see happen going forwards with NightClan? Any suggestions for plot? Things you'd like to see?
-Would you like a big plot event? Or smaller plot 'event' threads?
Should we keep Initiatives::: I love how NightClan not only pairs an apprentice up with a mentor but another apprentice as well, I think this is a really fun and interesting way to keep activity up, however, I'm not a huge fan of keeping initiative a rank. I think when a kit becomes an apprentice they should be assigned a mentor and another apprentice as their partner. So keep the idea going but not the rank, however, to be promoted you need to have a thread with ten replies from both the partner and the mentor. I'm not sure if anything I just typed made sense, I'm very tired lol so if it didn't feel free to message me and I'll try and clarify it better XD
Honestly when it comes to plots I'm kind feeling a good old fashioned battle plot, I feel like I haven't participated in one of those in a while lol although I might come up with some more ideas and if I do I'll post them

initiates -> keeping initiates: YES i like the pairs system! i think a lot of clans implement different roles to differentiate themselves but in nightclan's place they have a whole different system for training that isn't limited to just having another role which is coo
ideas / future plots -> honestly i'm really uncreative and i couldn't give you a big plot idea if i tried lmao but i actually really like the occasional mini-event or two rather than back-to-back bigger plots, it feels more...slice-of-life-ish to me that way? i can't describe it xD

01. I'm not sure I like the idea of an "initiative", it seems like an extra unnecessary step to me. Now, I have a few questions because I might not be understanding this correctly: so once the mentor deems them okay to move the "apprentice" stage, they are teamed up with another apprentice. Now are they both given a single mentor to train with, or do they train together with no warrior? 02/03. Especially with the move to proboards still being fresh in everyone's minds, I think it is best for there to be small plots or no plots at all. There isn't a large amount of activity throughout the site, so until everyone is settled, I don't think it's a good idea to create a huge plot like we'd normally do when we were on Wikifoundry. Now with that being said, once again, I am all for small plots! Perhaps with Winter coming we could have some weather-related plots. Like a few kits sneaking out to the lake and them nearly drowning (or actually drowning), apprentices/warriors doing the same.. I think it's really easy to take advantage of Winter since snow and wind can really do some damage. Thanks for reading!
