Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wyverndelirium shifted from paw to paw at the entrance to the cave, his short golden-brown coat fluffed against the chill. As night fell the air outside was still calm and warm but within the stone walls of the camp the temperature was dropping quickly. He and Timbersmoke had been assigned to a late hunting patrol in an attempt to avoid to the heat of the day, but he balked at the idea of getting his paws wet if it was going to be this chilly outside. He shivered as he glanced around for the other tom.
In the late twilight, Timbersmoke was a feline silhouette, the only colour reflecting from the tapetum lucidum in his eyes. The boringly average size tomcat was rather pleased to be assigned a hunting patrol in the dark hours. Noticing as another vague cat-shaped lump at the mouth of the cave, Timbersmoke assumed it was his partner waiting for him. "Good evening, Wyverndelirium," Timbersmoke greeted once he was close enough "I apologize for my tardiness. Hopefully StarClan will blesses us with a fruitful hunt."
“Hey, Timbersmoke,” he replied with a nod. “I hope so too, so we can get some sleep before dawn. I don’t want to be up all night if we don’t have to.” He turned to lead the way out of the camp, his steps sure and confident as he led the way down the waterfall trail. The spray was freezing tonight and made him shiver, and he picked up the pace to avoid getting soaked.
Timbersmoke was hot on Wyverndelirium, having the exact same notion. The dark coloured tomcat wasn't the biggest fan of water, and tried his best to avoid it at all cost. "Any idea of where we should start?" The tom inquired
"I was thinking we'd try and hunt some land prey, frogs maybe," he suggested carefully, not wanting to admit he didn't want to get his paws wet. Wyverndelirium didn't mind water, but it was chilly outside and the water would only make him colder. "Anything that's out and about."
Timbersmoke let out his breath slowly, so that perhaps Wyverndelirium wouldn't notice. "That sounds like a good idea." The dark tabby said, trying his best to hide his relief. Timbersmoke tried his very best to avoid reviling that he couldn't swim. Sometimes even just wading into the streams was to much for him. "It's always good to exercise other methods of hunting."
Wy nodded quickly, relieved the other warrior understood and didn’t just him for it. “Exactly. We’ve got all this prey on land, we can’t waste it! The other clans would mock us forever.” He shook his head. He didn’t care as much as some cats about their image, but he didn’t like it when the other clans judged them either. They had no right. “We’ll prove we can hunt water and land prey faster than they can.”
