Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(@peepingpeeper flippingfishnoodles @trouvaille This is set between the family meeting, which is a month after they're adopted, and when they were found.
Ivorycrown was the unfortunate cat to find three young toms caught out in a harsh storm. It'd lasted a few days, drenching the poor kits to the bone. They were lucky she'd heard their cries, a day longer out in the week long rains and they'd be dead. Since then, they'd been looked over by Firetooth and Ivorycrown had moved into the nursery where she rested now, trying to give teh kits a bath. "Hold still."
"I can bathe myself!" he grumbled from under his adoptive mother, his eyes narrowed. He hated bath time. They were getting to the age where they wanted to explore more, to put space between them and those who looked after them, gain a little independence. Pantherkit was no different, and the normally distant kitten didn't like it when others did things for him that he thought were obvious that he could do for himself.
"Are you sure?" What about behind your ears? You can't reach there, so just hold still!" Ivorycrown hadn't realized how..how...how impossible kits could be! They wanted to do everything but what they were supposed to or even what you needed them to do. Like sit still for a bath!
Cougarkit had been up and about early this morning, full of energy and ready to start the day. “Ha ha!” He taunted playfully at his brother. “I can get behind my ears, Ivorycrown.” He circled the two, running around them with as much energy as the wind. He was feeling so—so alive today! So healthy! So excited.
"You couldn't yesterday." Would they just sit still! Really! How hard was it to just sit, two minutes that's all she asked for. Ivorycrown nudged Pantherkit, "off with you." Dragging over Tigerkit, she worked on cleaning him up, she'd deal with Cougarkit last, when he'd worn himself out enough to sit still.
