Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Dragonswrath hadn't joined Sunclan to become Soothsayer. True, he had accepted the position quickly, but who was he to deny the Sun God. Of all cats, he was the last to disobey him...again. The last thing he wanted was yet another curse from him. Most would see resurrecting infinitely to be a blessing, but it was far from it. Life got tiring quickly, and tragedy had followed him for centuries. It made him curious as to why the Sun God had asked him to leave his position as Chaman of the regime to rejoin Sunclan. The tom had hoped that it had been to remove the curse, but instead he had been made the soothsayer.
A slow sigh rose from Dragonswrath as he stood from his nest, renewing his paint markings. He flopped over onto his back and stretched out his legs in the air. He stood back up and exited the den, shying away from the bright light. He glanced around expectantly for his promised.
Good morning Dragonswrath! Twilightbell's cheerful voice sounded from nearby. She had heard the tom's pawsteps and his scent had told her that he had left his den. She stood up and trotted over to him stopping just a few paces away. "Do you have more lessons for me today?" Part of her was hoping that she would have the day off. She had been chosen as a Janus as a very young kit, but she had never really enjoyed the lessons and was always trying to find a way out of them. She'd grown more serious after becoming the soothsayer promised, but that had also come after Wormwood's betrayal had been uncovered. She had to be careful not to upset her clanmates further
The tom hummed thoughtfully, expression blank. "How about we go see one of the places that the Sun God seems to like?" He tilted his head. In all honesty, Dragonswrath was much better at teaching others how to fight than anything else. In fact, he was terrible at mentoring in anything else.
"Alright then. Will we be leaving immediately?" She wanted to learn as quickly as possible so that she could prove to her clanmates that she wasn't a traitor like Wormwood. She had spent a lot of time around him as a kit, but that was because he had been her only family in the Janus Camp.
Twilightbell was close behind him. "Have you ever seen the Sun God?" She was honestly curious since she knew some cats claimed that he came to visit them. She had never seen the Sun God personally, but she would like to one day if it was at all possible.
"He cursed you? What did you do to upset him?" There was real shock in her voice, but that was perhaps because she had always seen the Sun God as a benevolent being that looked after SunClan and made sure that they were always a step ahead of the other clans. She couldn't imagine him cursing someone in his chosen clan.
"Why would you try to overpower the Sun God? And did you just say Lion Cub?" Despite the fact that she hadn't been in the best of moods here lately, her true nature was beginning to resurface. She was extremely curious and often had trouble recognizing when it was best to leave a topic alone. Even now, she was trying to wrap her head around what little information she'd been given.
"Notably, I didnt realize he was the sun god at the time. And yes, I used to be a lion. Whenever I did, I just get brought back. After a while, I was brought back as a cat once Lionclan died out."
"Wow.." This was a story Twilightbell never would have thought of. Part of her actually wondered if he was just making it up. Was he trying to trick her, to see how gullible she might be? Then again, who would really think to make up a story like that? "You are on good terms with the Sun God now though right? After all, you are our Soothsayer."
