Lane-kepa paused to smooth down a patch of her fur as she entered the church, depositing her catch on the fresh-kill pile before looking around the camp with a worried look in her eye. Even though she knew logically that Shae was long gone, Lane couldn’t help but fear the thought of her suddenly showing up right in the middle of camp, or some other equally terrifying thought. The tyro shook her head and instead padded off to a lonely corner of the church, hoping to spend some time simply sitting in silence and watching the rest of the coalition move around.
