Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Celestialglow's heart began to race and the fur along her spine stood on end. She was part of a vision. The three of them. They were meant to go to Summerclan. She looked at the three Summerclan cats and then back at her own trio. "What do you think? Should we go with them?"
"Now wait just a moment" Toadstream stepped forward before anyone could answer Celestialglow. He turned to face Graythorn, holding a surprising boldness. "I just got my father back whom I had believed to be dead. I've lost my mother and my only surviving littermate is in Dayclan. I have lost my whole family and now you are telling me that the only one I've got left is suppose to join you in Summerclan? Why? Because Starclan told you so? Starclan let this happen to me! They let my family die!" Tears began to form in his eyes. He had held it together for so long, letting Loststar and the rest of Fallclan believe he still had faith in Starclan but now he couldnt contain his grief any longer. "This is my father's choice, not Starclan's! He decides where he wants to live."

(It took me a little while with many revisions. )
Cutthroat opened his mouth to answer Celestialglow but when Toadstream approached Graythorn he remained silent. He too was surprised this medicine cat received a vision from StarClan about them. What's so special about us?
Stonefang looked at his son and the gray tabby. He was bewildered. What should I do?
Graythorn's fur ruffled. He didn't like being questioned in things of this nature but he understood that Toadstream was going through grief on many different levels. "I can't answer why StarClan does things," he said. "Or why they sent me this vision. All I know is they did. It's up to those three to do what they want with the information."

(Thanks!)
Stonefang looked around from Toadstream to his clanmates and then to Graythorn. "I ... I don't know what to do," he meowed, a note of distress in his voice. "I want to be with family and yet ... I don't want to go against StarClan either. I mean, they even sent a prophecy about us." It was incredible to him that StarClan would even do that. So they must have something special planned for each of them. But what? "What should I do?"
"I'd say come with us," Cutthroat meowed. "It's not often that StarClan sends messages about ordinary warriors like us." It struck him funny he was saying that, for was it not just a few minutes ago he was denouncing the starry cats? He smiled inwardly at his own behavior.
"I'm not going to keep you here, father. I just want you to make a decision because you/i] want to, not because Starclan said so," Toadstream mewed, relaxing his bristling tortoiseshell fur.

Stonefang looked around at each cat standing there. He was torn with what he wanted to do opposed to what he should do.
"Chose wisely", Graythorn meowed. "I admit I don't know what StarClan wants with you three in SummerClan but I do know they don't send signs for no reason. Their wishes will be revealed in time."
Stonefang straightened his shoulders and stepped forward. "Well then," he meowed. "I'll come with you to SummerClan." He turned to face Toadstream. "Please don't be upset. I love you and the rest of my kits very much. We'll still see each other at gatherings. This is something I have to do for myself." He moved in closer and placed his tail on Toadstream's shoulder. "You're a warrior and have a big heart. Serve your new clan well."
Toadstream flattened his ears and lowered his gaze at his father's decision. He had hoped Stonefang would choose his family but he understood. In a way, he felt the same. He couldnt leave Fallclan. He couldnt leave Loststar now that they were mates but he couldn't quite tell his father, yet, either. Toadstream let out a sigh and nodded, feeling comforted by his father's touch. "Its okay. I understand. If this is really what you want, I can't be angry at you." Toadstream pressed his head against Stonefang's taking in the last moment with him before his father left for Summerclan.
Celestialglow turned to her mate. "What do you think? Shall we go to Summerclan?" Luckily they didnt have a family, yet, that would steer them away from what Starclan wanted for them.

Stonefang realized he had been holding his breath as he waited for Toadstream's response. It came as a great relief to him that his son accepted his decision. He thought he might be angry. "Thank you," he said. "It means a lot to me that you're alright with this. Wherever you go, whatever you do, you'll always be in my heart."
Cutthroat gave his mate a big smile. "Why not? It's not like StarClan sends us a message everyday. Besides, from what I hear, SummerClan's a lot like EarthClan. It's not like we're going to a water loving clan who eats fish all the time." He wrinkled his nose at the thought. He also wasn't too fond of getting wet. "What do you think?"
"We do eat fish," Dustfeather interrupted.
"But we also eat mice, birds, squirrels, rabbits, and other ground creatures," Pantherclaw added.

Toadstream smiled, warmed by the heartfelt moment they were sharing. "And you will always be in mine. If you ever need anything, you know where to find me. I'm just glad I got to see you and all I want for you is to be happy."
Celestialglow purred and giggled at the face Cutthroat made when he mentioned eating fish. "Well, lucky for us, they dont eat all fish." She turned to the three Summerclan cats. "We will join you if you will take us."

"Same here," Stonefang replied. "And you can always come to me too." He felt a bittersweet feeling in his heart. He lost his mate and some kits but not all of them. Those who survived along with those who didn't will hold a special place in his heart.
"That's good news!" Pantherclaw meowed in response to Celestialglow's request. She was excited to be part of the patrol who was bringing new members into their clan. "I can show you around the territory and take you to the best hunting spots. This is going to be fun!"
Graythorn rolled his eyes at his sister's enthusiasm. "I'm glad you chose to make SummerClan your home," he meowed. "It's StarClan's will for you to come."
"When do we start?" Cutthroat asked. He was tired from all the searching and wandering they've been doing the past week or so. It would be nice to sleep in a proper nest again.
"How about right now?" the gray medicine cat replied. "I don't need to finish my trip to the Moon Creek. I've already got my answer."
Toadstream nodded, "that is true. But I must be going, now. Loststar will be wondering what's been holding me. I'll tell her that I didnt see anything. Believe me, if she knew I had run into my father and didnt bring him back with me, she would come looking for him," Toadstream chuckled. "I will see you all around. Safe travels." The tortoiseshell touched his nose to Stonefang's before retreated into Fallclan territory.
Celestialglow waved goodbye with her tail before turning to Graythorn. "Actually, I think I should rest. Do you think you can have a look at my shoulder? I seemed to have wrenched it." She didn't want to tell the medicine cat the dog they had encountered before the storm. "And could you, please, take a look at Cutthroat's head. We've...uh...had quite an adventure" she smiled, exhausted but relief flooded over her as if she hadn't felt this safe since it had all begun.

Stonefang watched his son leave realizing that nothing will be the same ever again. How could he start a new life without his beloved Berryfrost and his kits?
Graythorn moved in closer to examine Celestialglow's shoulder and saw it had been injured. "How long ago did this happen?" He didn't ask how. He knew the risks warriors took, many foolish. Besides he didn't want to hear a long, drawn out story anyway. He glanced over at Cutthroat. "I'll see your injury in a minute."
Cutthroat sat down and watched the medicine cat look after his mate. It seemed like an eternity since he'd been home but in reality it had been only several days. Had they really come through so much in such a short time? It still seemed incredible to him that they had lost the only home they knew.
"It was a few sunrises ago" she explained. "I'm sure I just wrenched it pretty good but I wanted to be sure it was nothing more serious." It had been put of place but she had managed to pop it back in when they were resting in the barn.

Graythorn sniffed the shoulder and then felt it with his front paw pads. "There's some swelling and it's warmer than what it should be," he said returning to stand on four feet again. "I didn't see any broken skin so I doubt you have an infection which is good. I can give you something for the swelling and pain when we get back to camp since I don't have anything with me now." He then checked Cutthroat's head and determined he could travel too. "You both can stay in my den for a day or two when we get back. You can use the rest."
(Do you want to end this thread now and start a new one in SummerClan?)
