Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Immortal Council Member Kasdeya was by the falls of Dayclan's territory, letting the heat of the afternoon sun warm her soft, off-white pelt. Her mismatched eyes were closed, the gently sloping angles of her face tilted up towards the golden rays to catch the warmth and try to hold it in her heart. Maybe with enough of the elusive emotion that the sunlight drew from within her, she would begin to feel normal- though she doubted normal would ever be a state of mind that was possible for her. She kept up the facade easily enough, playing the part of responsible deputy for her clan, fighting and hunting and making small talk, even opening up to Goldenpaw on occasion.
But still, underneath the composure of her day to day to life, her heart ached for something real, some one or some thing that could be a balm for her shattered heart. It was in quiet moments like this that she could take time to reflect, to look at the depth of her hurt and her heartache. However, she never knew the right steps to begin repairing the damage.
"You look comfortable" came a gentle, yet deep, voice. Cloudfur, an all white mainecoon with golden eyes, approached Kasdeya. Each paw step was a stride, his fur silky and airy, a feathery tail swayed behind him and his warm golden eyes looked like pieces of the sun had come to rest in them. His smile was bright and welcoming despite his intimidating size. The particular tom was expected to be powerful and dangerous but the energy coming from him was warm and inviting like a tight hug. He gave off a comforting and angelic disposition in which one could feel safe to be around. Much like a friendly giant was a good simple way of describing him.
He sat down next to her, casting a long shadow over her. "Oops, sorry" he apologized, moving to where the sun was shining on her fur again. The sun illuminated his white fur into a radiant glow, much like one would picture a majestic angel. He tilted his head, his eyes gleaming with a warm light. "Enjoying the sun, I see" he purred in a rumble.
"I am," Kasdeya responded simply, watching the large snowy tom approach and sit beside her. Kasdeya herself was tall and leanly muscled, though her stature was hidden under the volume of her coat. "Cloudfur, yes?" The Immortal Council Member had been in the clan for close to a year, but she still felt the need to verify that she had correctly identified this tom. "I grew up on an island, so I have something for an affinity for the heat, despite my fur." Her tone these days was less clipped and rigid, but her speech had always been formal when she wasn't being sarcastic.
Her time in Dayclan had softened her edges, but her walls were still firmly in place, keeping the vast majority of her clanmates at a distance. As much as she wanted to make friends, true friends, she never had the know-how to do so.
He nodded, "Yes, my names Cloudfur. Im surprised you knew that considering I havent been in the clan for very long. Your Kasdeya, correct? The new immortal council member?"
