Bluepyre didn't understand what was so special about this herb. Apparently he had to risk his life to cross more than one border to sneak along the MoonClan border to find this one plant. Just so Silverwake could rid herself of her belly ache. Why couldn't she take the herbs the medicine cat's told her to take.
"Mom always said this stuff was the best. It has tiny little white flowers that bloom in the moon's light so you'll have to leave just after Sun High." she had said as she pitifully sank back into her nest.
The large white tom knew that he was a fool for not simply picking a white flower and taking it back to his sister from their own territory to make her think he had come all this way. But the things you do for love. Even if that love was your sister.
He weaved around some small brush. His eyes glinting as their deep blue caught the moons light. He prayed to StarClan that he wouldn't get caught by unfriendly rivals.

They probably weren't like most siblings. At least, not at their age. Sometimes the other warriors wondered when they would grow out of their kit-like behavior when they were together. Willowdust ducked low to the grass, heart pounding. The game was to find the others before they found you first, and unfortunately, she was losing. Her large paws were easy to give her away, though when she caught sight of movement, her heart almost leaped out her chest. Finally.
The tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat stepped out from her hiding spot, careful not to give away her position. Then, she leaped. "Gotcha!" She mewed triumphantly when her body slammed into the tom. But as his unfamiliar face came into view, the sparkle in her eye was replaced by surprise.
She stood there for what seemed like minutes, and in the background she could hear her brothers and sisters exchanging words, but she was unable to register them.
"Maybe she headed back," she heard one suggest. Willowdust didn't know whether to call out to them for help or to just run, but instead, she just stood next to this stranger with shock stuck to her face.

As soon as the she-cat began to speak Bluepyre flicked his tail across her maw to silence her. His ears twitching to hear the voices of her companions. He looked at her with earnest pleading eyes. "Please be quiet. I can explain. Please just give me a chance." he whispered urgently. The sound of rustling not far off making his heart thunder in his chest. Was this she-cat with a patrol int he middle of the night? She definitely smelled musky like MoonClan cats did.

She supposed she should have smelled his rival scent, but the adrenaline must have masked her senses. Willowdust nodded slowly, seeing the pleading look in his eye. It just appeared too genuine for him to be trying to trick her. But what if he is? She couldn't help but to think the terrifying thought. She shook her head, trying to clear it before peering over her shoulder. The rustling was getting closer. She couldn't just let the warrior go without an explanation, but she couldn't turn him in either. At least not until she could determine if he was guilty.
Willowdust padded ahead, motioning with her tail for him to follow. She made sure not to go further into MoonClan territory. If they were caught there, she knew both their tails would belong to her leader. Once she was sure they were in a safe place, she listened, met with silence.
The warrior took a deep breath. "Now, tell me what you're doing. And no lies," she had a warning edging her voice.

The white and silver tom crouched across from her. His breathing evident from the adrenaline still pumping through his veins. "My name is Bluepyre." he meowed at last. His tone still hushed as he was unsure of this she-cat or the cats who she had apparently led him away from. "I am a warrior of FallClan. I had no intentions of crossing the border. I was asked to find a herb that is commonly found just along the border." he explained hoping she believed him. It was true after all. He meant MoonClan or this warrior no harm.
When no rustling came from the brush around them he slowly rose back up to his natural form. His limbs aching as if he had been in that crouched position for a long time. "I am sorry. I didn't mean to pull you from your clan mates."

Willowdust nodded as he went on. He sounded sincere, but you could never be too careful around a complete stranger. The story just gave her more questions for Bluepyre. "What is this herb for? Do you even know?" She arose to her paws, still keeping enough distance between them. "Do we have enough?" She was a little concerned that they might need it themselves in desperate times, whatever it was used for. She wasn't sure if she could just let him have it if it was really that valuable.

Bluepyre's ears flattened. He hadn't thought of that. What if MoonClan needed the herb and he was stealing? He had no intentions of picking any over the border but would they still see it as stealing? "Its a little white flower that is closed in the day and blooms at night. I was told its a miracle herb for belly aches and other abdominal pains." he explained as best he could. He was really just an errand boy in all this. He felt his affection for his family just put him in some unexpected crosshairs.

"Okay," Willowdust sighed. "We can look for it." She wouldn't feel right just sending someone away in need, especially if this herb could help someone's pain. "But I think we should search somewhere else. I don't know if my clanmates are still looking for me." The tortoiseshell warrior pricked her ears to listen, but she was met only with the soft chirping of crickets among the plants. It was possible her littermates already headed back to camp, but she didn't think it was worth the risk. How exactly would she explain helping MoonClan's rivals?

"Oh okay. Thank you." he meowed. His features softening. There was something remarkable about a cat who could see beyond borders for a moment. "Lead the way then. I do not know this border like I know the ones along the FallClan territory." he meowed dipping his head as a sign of her leadership in this matter. After all, his life was in her paws.

(Sorry it took so long to get back to this. I had a crazy couple of days)
Willowdust padded through the brush, making her way slowly on her paws. She had a knack for tripping over herself. It made her hot from embarrassment just thinking about her paws flailing desperately in the air in front of this tom. He was considerably handsome, so that didn't help the heat crawling beneath her fur. The she-cat shook herself, trying her best to rid the thought quickly. Her eyes wandered over tendrils and tall trees above, and finally touched down to an area full of plants.
She stopped, turning her head over her shoulder. "We can look for it here," she suggested with a flick of her tail. "If we don't find it we can go on."

He watched her shake her fur and wondered if he was somehow making her uncomfortable. He stopped for half a step then continued as he realized of course he was! After all, how often these days do cats simply wonder borders to find help with a flower hunt? He nodded at her words. "Alright." he padded forward weaving around the root system before him. "Thank you by the way." he said poking his head over a root. His white pelt reflecting the moon's light. "I know I don't deserve your kindness and I never expected it but I really appreciate it." he purred as he looked her way. His eyes slitting as his cheeks raised with the purr.

Willowdust paused in her steps, looking at Bluepyre with a seemingly surprised expression. She had never come across a warrior from another clan that was so friendly, even at gatherings. They always had a way about them that made her uncomfortable. "Ah, well… Of course," she dipped her head. She couldn't help but help exchange a soft smile in return. "I couldn't turn away someone in need. It wouldn't be the right thing to do." She pulled her gaze away and began weaving through the plants, upturning stems here and there.

"What about your own clan? What if the flower turns out to be a herb you use in MoonClan? Wouldn't you be helping me steal then?" he asked not wanting to get her in any trouble.

Maybe she hadn't thought about the fact that she could be stealing from her own clan. Willowdust shook her head. If there was one flower, there was bound to be more, so one wouldn't make a huge difference. "Just consider it a gift," she suggested. "It's not the last flower on earth. Though if it were, I'd have no choice but to fight you for it." There was a hint of playfulness to her words.

What were the odds that it was indeed the last flower of its kind, he wondered. He nodded allowing an amused flick of his ear. Scanning the roots and suddenly froze as a little white star shaped flower gleamed in the moon's light. "I think I found it!" He bounded over to it crouching down at its level to get a better look.

Willowdust's ears pricked as he rushed towards the fragile white flower. She approached mindfully, as if worried she would end up causing disaster by stepping too close. She craned her neck to sniff at it, her tiny pink nose twitching in delight. "So that's what it looks like." A purr rumbled in her throat. "It's kind of pretty."
