Fernpaw yawned in pure boredom as she stretched her lean legs in the warm sunlight. Her dark mocha brown pelt soaking up its pleasant rays. Lately Littlebird seemed to be too tired to play with her or lionpaw and Skipstep seemed preoccupied. So she found herself trying to find friends and playmates elsewhere. Besides, being an apprentice was meant to be just as much fun as it is work... right?
Bouncing to her paws the leatherstar look-alike flashed a emerald gaze across the part of camp accessible by all members. Who would play with her?
One of the things she was supposed to do in the upcoming bit of time was to learn how SunClan worked. She was going to have to learn all of the stories, learn all of the customs, become dedicated to the Sun God. To an average cat, this was probably a lot of work. And, she supposed that to her it was a lot of work, but she wasn't daunted by it, not in the slightest. It was exciting for her. It was a game, the most interesting of games that she'd ever played.
And she was about to make her next move.
Her whiskers twitched as she padded up to Fernpaw. She didn't know much about her, other than the fact that she was the daughter of the second in the chain of command. This meant that out of all cats, this one might be one to befriend. And, she looked bored. Perfect.
"Hello, there," she purred, her voice as sweet as honey. "Your name is Fernpaw, right?"

"Pffffft. Of course that's my name." she gawked at the initiate mocking surprise that a cat within the SunClan borders could simply not know her name. She drew back her mocking remark with a amused purr. "Its okay. I don;t know your name either. Mom is waaaaay cooler than I am so its excusable." she winked an emerald eye in jest.
Candy's tail flicked in what could have been perceived as annoyance- of course, that was her name, she had just been being pleasant- but the sunny smile never left her face. As much as there was a part of her that was instantly turned off by the mocking, Candy was growing used to the fact that there were some cats in SunClan that weren't the most hospitable to innitiates. That would be fine. She would get over it. Anything to secure a foothold.
"My name is Candy!" she meowed cheerfully. Her voice was light and airy, almost whimsical as it rose and fell with her syllables. It was almost as if it was a song. "Mom, your mom is Littlebird, right? That must be so cool!" she gushed, momentarily deciding that maybe the best way to befriend this cat was to get into a mindset of an apprentice, despite the fact that Candy was fully grown.

"It's okay. Mom's always busy and Lionpaw is off working or training or something. Hey you wanna play?" she instantly perked up her ear twitching, brown pelt fluffing a bit with anticipation.
Her smile grew even wider, and for a milisecond, a smugness entered her eyes. Well, that was easier than expected, she thought to herself pleasantly. She then nodded with great enthusiasm. "I'd love to play with you!" she meowed, tapping her feet in excitement. "What kind of games do you play in SunClan?"

"Uhg the kits and other apprentices play silly games like catch the petal or pounce on the beetle." She looked across the clearing with bright emerald eyes a thought lighting a spark in them. "Oh I know! Lets go sneak into the sunflower field. Maybe the sun god will put on a show and light some on fire for us." she bounced on her paws.
"The Sun God does that?" she asked, curiosity tinging in her gaze. She still wasn't completely sure she understood exactly what the Sun God was, what he did or didn't do, the whole lot of it. She'd heard he could do great things, and if he could just start fires upon whim, though, that was a pretty cool party trick. "Let's go!" she then meowed, although doing things like sneaking probably wasn't building good rapor to keep in the group.

"He does it for some of the initiates when its their final trial. So I mean he could. But I haven't seen him do it for me yet just because I broke a few rules." she giggled turning on her hind legs and bounding away tail streaming behind her as she darted into the brush. "Try to keep up!" the smaller cat teased knowing full well Candy could out run her.
"Broke a couple of rules?" That was the most interesting part of what the other cat had said. Candy was still trying to learn what rules could be broken and wouldn't, so inquiring about it would be a vital step in her moving forward in SunClan. She blinked large eyes, before chasing after the younger cat. "You're so fast!" she then called. What a show she would put on to make a friend.
"Ha! Thanks! You're pretty quick too! My mom says I'm quick like my father Leatherstar. But I've never seem him run before. But he fights pretty good." She skidded to a stop before the sunflower field and looked back at the other cat. "Ready?"
