Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Another season, another assignment. Skye was now positioned in Summerclan, which wasn't terribly different from his last assignment of Waterclan. It was a little awkward, since Doestar, the leader of the entire clan, had been one of his flings in Brookclan, but he was working through that with his ever pleasant attitude.
He wasn't having any issues making friends- he was a rather outgoing tom, which always worked in his favor. For lunch, he had gone to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump mouse before sitting down next to a random she-cat. "Hey-o. I'm Skye, I'm kind of new here," he greeted her warmly, before tearing off a bite of his meal.
Khaalida was running her tongue over her paws, grooming herself steadily. She had just gotten back after a long day of hunting, having caught a hare and three mice. She was feeling pretty good about herself, being able to provide for her new family; maybe then they would see her worth. As she was getting lost in her thoughts, and unfamiliar scent drifted into her nostrils, and she lifted her head ever so slightly to catch the sight of a strange tom cat. He reeked of a different clan, one that she had yet to meet. "Who are you?" She suddenly asked, and if she had eyebrows, one would certainly be raised right now.
"Skye, a former loner," The Renegade Regime spy lied smoothly, an easy smile crossing his gray features. "I'm here to try out Summerclan life, see if I want to settle down. I was previously in Waterclan, but it was not to my liking." He tore off a long strip of his fresh-kill, swallowing after chewing it a few times. "And who are you? I don't believe we've met yet."
"A former loner?" Khaalida couldn't help but to let out a snort. She already knew he was lying. She met a WaterClan cat once, and they certainly did not smell like that. How would he have been let into the clan so easily, anyways, reeking of another? He probably had connections, and that alone caused Khaalida's hackles to raise. Clearing her throat, though, she maintained a calm composure; she wouldn't want this feline to know he got under her skin already.
"I'm new as well," She began, rasping her tongue over her paws in the process, "I come from a place known as the Northern Kingdom, where the land is barren and the people are under the state of constant fear. Lovely place." Of course, her compliment towards the Northern Kingdom was nothing more than a sarcastic remark; she absolutely hated her home, and the feline who ruled it: her father. "My name is Khaalida." She said, pronouncing it khah-lee-dah.
"Sounds like a League name," Skye's tail tip twitched, voice amused. "But it's a pretty name none the less. The Northern Kingdom must be real far from here, since I've never heard of it." In truth, Skye wasn't lying- he had spent time in Waterclan, but also in Brookclan, and he still retained a weird mix of scents from the two clans in addition to the hints of Regime scent that lingered on his gray tabby form.
He was surprised that his ex-boyfriend had let him in to the clan, but they had maintained some semblance of friendship, and Doestar understood that the spying he did wasn't exactly malicious. It was more of light surveillance. Renegade Regime had no dispute with Summerclan, anyway.
