Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eve rped by Jetclaw | Eshek rped by fox | Morningpaw rped by @blankslate | Zalaph-kun rped by Honeystorm
In this thread a PI patrol has been put together by Mother E'tani herself to steal young or pregnant she-cats from Absum Lux as not only a warning to Absum Lux's new leader that he won't want to continue where Shae left off, but also because Primal Instinct is in dire need of younglings. Symphonesia rped by @trouvaille is out on a walk to clear her mind after a recent turn of events has left her future kits without a father. She will run into the foreign affairs patrol and they will do their thing, which is take her by force.
You may have your Absum Lux cat come across this and try to intercept for some lit rp, but please do not kill any cats participating without permission from their respective owners and keep in mind that either way Symphonesia will be whisked away to Primal Instinct to suffer.... I mean.... live a great life as a pregnant prisoner.
Ophelia clicked her tongue as she waited at the rendezvous point for the rest of the patrol to show. Her impatience painted on her face as she lashed her tail back and forth. They weren't quite late yet, but the fact that they weren't early slightly annoyed the former shaman's daughter. This would be her first mission as a new transfer to the foreign affairs district after royally screwing up while interrogating a tom as part of the Punishment district. She knew Mother E'tani had put her in charge of the patrol to test if she even deserved to be in Primal Instinct after the mess up. To the outside looking in though she was only assigned because Mother E'tani was still trying to make a decision on who would become the new proxy of the Foreign affairs district. She couldn't make the mistake of letting someone go again. She was determined for this mission to be a success.
Morningpaw was another member of this patrol on thin ice. As a former member of Winterclan, and a largely unknown entity he knew he was being watched closely by the internal affairs district. He had gotten into the league by the skin off his back, still bleeding and nearly delirious. It was an assumed reason why they had let him in to begin with. As he was well aware the former shaman Morgana had only helped him battle infection out of pity for his miserable state. But it was time to prove he wasn't meant to be pitied, that he fit in here. His siblings may have turned their backs on him, his brother Ghoulstar might have taken his eye but Morningpaw refused to let that stop him. No he would show them, and he would keep his name all the while, the last thing he had from his mother.
"Ophelia." He spoke as he came up behind her, dipping his head and keeping a fair distance. Her mood seemed to be sour and Morningpaw was always worried when other league cats moods were sour. An easy target he preferred not to get into any battles right before this patrol, not when he knew the nemesis was counting on them bringing someone back and having something to show for these efforts.
Eshek stalked towards the rest of her patrol, face set in a sulky glare. She'd been quite literally out of her mind when she'd resigned from her post in the Punishment District - Innocentia had become proxy, and she'd been running on fumes and herbs and one hour of sleep for three days, and she'd been so happy for and inspired by her fluffy little love with the big pink bow making something of herself that she'd thrown in the torturing towel and showed up at Mother E'Tani's front door with a messy, staggering proposition, which was somewhere along the lines of make me proxy, wanna make mama proud. Then, she'd passed out in the hallway and woken up in charge of Foreign Affairs, which she literally had no interest in. Torture? That had been a passion. A calling. An art. This? This was just stuffy, boring paper-pushing. She supposed Innocentia surely wouldn't deny her a little bit of fun in the Crypt if she asked really nicely, but it wasn't ever going to be like it had been before. Now she had... responsibilities. To a group she had no real fondness or loyalty for. It was gonna be great. She was really happy with her tripping-on-God-only-knew-what, spur-of-the-moment decision. Good stuff.
"No one talk to me," she growled as she met up with the patrol, sitting down heavily with her shoulders hunched and her ears pinned back. "I could be ripping someone's internal organs out right now." She still felt sick from the nameless herbs she'd driven herself into an intoxicated frenzy with; her stomach ached, and her head hurt, and the sunlight burned her eyes. And, like, what was their mission today from their glorious Nemesis? Oh, yeah. To kidnap pregnant she-cats. Something she was really looking forward to, because it wasn't like she'd based her entire sense of morality around never torturing she-cats. They were too good. Too pure. Too infinitely lovely. Toms, well, they were fair game - but she-cats? This patrol was going to ruin her. She wondered vaguely if she'd be fired on her first day for helping the poor girls escape her own group. As good a way to go as any, she supposed.
"Morningpaw." The name rolled off her tongue with a hint of distaste. She never understood why the tom wanted to keep his past clan name. Not only did it sound weird, but Primal Instinct was ruthless. They were going to rip him apart for the name. In fact, it kind of annoyed her that the young tom seemed to be receiving special treatment from Mother E'tani while she was being reprimanded for something that wasn't even entirely her fault. The huntress was sure that if she had insisted on keeping her clan name Mother E'tani would have exiled her on spot. There was no room for feelings in Primal Instinct as those caused either weakness or chaos, or at least that's how it was supposed to be.
Not wanting to start a fight with the apprentice she drew her attention to the new arrival, Eshek, who was almost as in bad of a mood as she was. She twitched her ear in annoyance and scrunched up her face as the newly appointed proxy loudly exclaimed that she would much rather be back in the Punishment district then be leading her own little army. Then why did you accept the job in the first place?
Ophelia thought bitterly to herself. God, it was becoming impossible to hold her sharp-tongue. She wanted nothing more then to tell Eshek to head back to camp if she didn't plan on contributing. "We're just waiting on Eve and Zalaph-kun. If they don't show up soon we'll start heading towards the mission point and they can catch up." Ophelia said, doing her best to stay focused on what the true goal of the mission was, which was be successful so she wasn't thrown in the crypt for her past mistakes.
Morningpaw sneered at Eshek and Ophelia without care, let them both look down their noses at him. He would take one of their eyes so they could match him in handicap. "If they're not here already then they should be left to catch up. I mean Eshek managed to get here and she's obviously no thrilled." The tom tossed a look towards the proxy in question, sneer deepening. Unsure if he disliked Ophelia with her judging eyes more or the proxy that declared her distaste so boldly. To be frank he thought they were both rather useless partners for this; how were they supposed to kidnapped some kits if they all hated each other. So much for trust between hunters belonging to the same districts.
"Frankly we should leave Eshek behinds as well, the proxy or not, if we can't talk to her then she's useless as well." He tacked on snidely, "you seem to already be making the decisions anyway." This was directed towards Ophelia with the sole purpose of poking at someone's buttons. Whoever got more annoyed by the statement. He knew he was walking dangerous edges, either of these she-cats could shove him off without care. But they could hurt him no more than he had been hurt before and he welcomed the refreshing pain.
“I’m here!” Eve said, the silvery gray she cat trotting up to join the group. “Many apologies, got a little bit lost on the path of life. But i’m Here now.” The she cat said tail flicking. She took a moment to take in the area.
Eshek turned her head to listen to Morningpaw, a slow grin spreading across her face. Proxy or not, if we can't talk to her then she's useless as well. "Well, aren't you just a brazen one?" she laughed, genuinely delighted at the impudence. Honest, open discussion - it always made life just that little bit more interesting. And, truth be told, she didn't really care all that much if her authority as Proxy was undermined; she'd always been far more of a follower than a leader and had no particular ego or ambition or yearning for any great sort of power - let them think what they might and say what they would. If they stepped out of line just that little bit too far, she knew a thing or two about torture. "I'm surprised you can speak so confidently on the matter, Morningpaw - just that little bit too disloyal to change your name but League enough where it counts. Or maybe you're just stupid. Wanna keep your options option, I suppose, in case you decide to go running back to whichever little Clan you came from with your tail between your legs." She cooed the last part in a sickly sweet voice, crouching down and taking a step closer.
And then Eve came trotting up. Eshek immediately sat back down, smiling pleasantly at the she-cat. This place had been getting too crowded with one too many toms. There was only one, but the point still stood: that was just far too many. "But you're here now," she echoed gently, giving Eve a soft tap on the shoulder with her tail-tip. Though she was Proxy, she wasn't technically the leader of this patrol, and was more than happy to take full advantage of that fact if it meant delaying the inevitable horror of their task. "Well!" she sighed, flopping onto her back and tugging roughly at loose claw sheaths with her front teeth. "I guess Zalaph-kun isn't coming - what a shame! Might just have to scrap this whole idea and go home. It's been fun - don't forget to write - I'm callin' in sick."
"We're still going, with or without Zalaph-kun, and we're leaving nobody behind." Ophelia hissed out with an annoyed flick of her ear. "Also, I'm the leader of this patrol, which means I make the decisions from the time we leave to the time we get back." Proxy or not, she wasn't about to let somebody ruin her last chance of staying out of the crypt and she especially wasn't going to let a snot nosed clan cat ruin it. She felt her claws dig into the earth as she lashed her tail. She didn't particularly care if Eshek and Morningpaw stayed at each other's throats as long as the job got done.
"You two can keep fighting like a married couple if you want so long as you ensure the capture of Absum Lux scum. We're setting out for now, Zalaph-kun can join us later if she wants. Hopefully she does so I don't have to report her to Mother." She flicked her tail and turned her back. Not even checking to make sure the other three were following.
"Can we be a married couple when I have kids with an old flame? Would that complicate things?" Morningpaw asked sarcastically just to be a pain to Ophelia. Pushing forward her followed after her though, not particularly bothers by Eshek, she could think what she wanted about him as he owed her no explanation. His name was more for his brother Ghoulstar, an echo of things past that he hoped eventually reached the toms ears and caused some stirring of the pot. As the tom would love the opportunity to take one of his brothers lives, perhaps even steal his last. The tom didn't deserve to be leader of Winterclan, or more accurately didn't deserve the respect that position brought. Not that Morningpaw held any love for his old clan, but he wished deep suffering on his brother and Ghoulstar being leader was a barrier he hadn't anticipated having to work around.
“Jeez,” Eshek murmured out of the corner of her mouth, raising her eyebrows and tucking her chin into her throat. She looked to the side like she was reacting to someone and let out a small, tight laugh. “Yes, boss, am I right?” She trailed after Ophelia, trotting ahead and shoving past Morningpaw with a sweet, sharp grin, and fell in beside the patrol leader. She held no particular ill will towards Absum Lux; she’d had a brief, mad, confess-everything-in-the-dead-of-night-and-cry-while-you-cuddle sort of fling with Shae, after all, and she had a lingering soft spot for the former Heda’s group. She’d heard the new one was sweet as a peach, too, even if he was a tom. But if it was the Nemesis’ command that they ruin the life of some poor she-cat, she would see it done; the pleasure of one she-cat for the life of another. A cruel sort of philosophy that stuck in her throat and made her feel a little sick with cognitive dissonance, but what could you do? She was very good at pretending she didn’t feel a lot of things.
“Hey, sweetpea, I’m sorry,” she continued to Ophelia, was gentler and more serious. “Or no sweetpea? No sweetpea. You seem like the no-cutesie-nicknames type. I respect that. And I think you’re doing a stellar job.”
Her cheeks blushed slightly at Eshek's compliment as she pressed onward. "Thank you... I appreciate that..." her words were careful, almost as if she was guarding herself against the proxy. She shook her head as the butterflies battered their wings in her stomach. "We need to focus." She finally said. The night fell as the two-leg houses came into view and she lifted her tail to signal the group to pause at the edge of the neighborhood. "We're here."
