Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar's heavenly gaze watched with distant worry as Lucistic and Senescence left her with the so called intruder in DayClan's camp.
"Those are my little angels, sometimes they can be a bit rough though," Glowstar said, her words were like a soft song ending in a whisper. Light and airy, yet carried with it a cheery playfulness like a melodies notes catching on a breeze. She smiled at Kasdeya like she'd known her whole life or perhaps as though she knew everything about her by a glance, but it was more than feeling she knew her, it was like a silent instant trust she had for her by eye contact alone, "What are you doing so far from home? Or do you no longer consider the league to be a home?"
The leader was tall and although a few league cats still spoke of her there was little mention of her height. Descriptions of Green mixed from person to person. They said her eyes were like portals into the dark forest, hellish and deadly. That her fur was like an ocean of fire and her claws were long like scythes. But one detail always remained the same, she wasn't just sadistic, she was a masochist with a pretty face. Here, in DayClan nothing felt further from it, her gaze was feather light and lit like shimmery emeralds. Her fur was breath taking forming golden hues and cascading brooks of red depending on which way you turned your head. Her overall aura didn't seem to just shine around her, but had a tingly warmness when she was around others.
"Angels." Kasdeya repeated, somewhat flatly, watching her former League mates walk away. She turned back to Glowstar after a moment, taking in the leader she knew a few things about, despite her limited exposure to clan politics. She knew that Glowstar- Green- was a former League cat, and a high ranking one at that. It seemed that no matter how far Kasdeya ran, she would never escape her past.
Kasdeya, affectionately called the witch queen by those who disliked her, met the leader's eyes with her own wild-looking, mismatched ones. The runaway she-cat was thin, windswept, and frazzled from her moonlight flight from the League and subsequent three day journey. But even under her mussed-up exterior, there was an underlying composure, some fierce spark of determination to live, and that flashed in her eyes as she took in Glowstar.
"I left Primal Instinct. I'm not going back. I don't know where I'm going, just... not there. I meet Palefrost on your territory, and she told me to rest here." Kasdeya looked like she didn't exactly trust the scenario, and she wasn't to blame. Growing up in the League, she had never trusted anyone other than herself, and now she was a fugitive. She had killed cats before, for trespassing, and she didn't quite understand why she wasn't being swiftly executed. But maybe this place was different. Maybe this strange, tall leader with the conflicting presence and past was someone who could be trusted... maybe.
"Oh, well if Palebird said so then I suppose I have no choice, but to let you rest," Glowstar said with a nod of understanding.
She waved her grass stained green paw, "You just let me know when you're done resting whether that's in an hour, a month, a year, take your time. In the mean time I suppose resting involves a nest, I'm going to give you an ocean theme nest," she said mischievously as though decking out Kasdeya's nest in an ocean theme was something devious and never done before. Glowstar hadn't even stepped out for a moment before returning with some nesting supplies, "So, what didn't you like about the league? Was it the diet? Cause personally I miss eating snake."
Ah, yes. Palebird. These clan names were already confusing her, so she simply flicked an ear and didn’t respond to the first comment.
Ocean theme. Fitting, since the second half of her young life had been spent on the island. She knew the feeling of hot golden sand beneath her paws, of salty sea breeze, and she knew the taste of fish and ocean birds. Maybe the ocean themed nest could recapture the brief moments of peace she had garnered for herself among the chaos of her cousins’ ascension and then blinding, before her flight away from her home.
“The diet was fine,” Kasdeya responded, physically incapable of light humor and unable to detect Glowstar’s subtle jest. Her face was impassable, her eyes glittering as she looked at the nesting supplies. “I needed something different. Something better.” Something nobler than kill or be killed. Physically Kasdeya was built to survive League life, but underneath her brittle exterior was the abandoned kit who wanted to believe in something more, even though she wasn’t sure of its existence. “Or perhaps I simply developed a conscience later in life.”
