Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
@hinata Hopefully it isn't too presumptuous that I made a thread between Carlotta-kun and Sigmund, but Blank_Slate said that she was assigning Carlotta to him and I was already making threads (:
Well, well, well. Out of all cats of the League to be assigned to, Carlotta-kun had been assigned to Sigmund. The Warden, of all cats. Her whiskers had twitched in amusement when she had received the news. It was an honor, truly, that Mother E'tani saw enough potential in her to assign her to her right hand man. That is, if Carlotta believed in things such as potential. She really didn't. She had no time for such concepts. Potential meant nothing to her if it wasn't put to use. Even her own potential was something she often ignored because potential was a lot like hope- absolutely a waste of time that would be better spent creating action. The marbled orange tabby thought about this for one more moment, before closing the distance between her and her mentor.
Technically, they weren't supposed to start training today. Technically, she was probably supposed to wait for his cue to approach him about training. After all, he was the warden and probably had better things to do than start her training right away. But, Carl had the tendency to be quite annoying when her mind was set to something, and her mind was set to this.
"Sigmund, you don't look busy, do you?" she meowed as she padded up to him. She offered him a sweet expression, one that was partnered with a little half-smile. "Not too busy to hang out with your favorite trainee?" The two cats hadn't spoken perhaps more than five words to each other after the ceremony, so there was probably no way that she was his favorite. She didn't really care, though. She wanted to train, dammit!

The tom jumped slightly at the sound of the trainee's words and shifted into a battle position as his eyes darted wildly around. "OH GOD, THE SPOOKS ARE HERE! THEY'RE HERE TO PICK THE MEAT OFF MY BONES AND DUNK THAT MEAT IN SOME OF THAT TWO-LEG SAUCE I ATE OUT THE GARBAGE SOMETIMES AND-" He cut himself off once he realized it was simply the she-cat he had been assigned to a day earlier. "Oh... it's just you.... uhhhh.... Carkola.... Carlatta....Charlette.... yeah, that sounds right. Claire-kun." He was no where close to being right, but the tom seemed proud in his assumption that he had remembered his new trainees name. "So, Cleric-kun, what can I do for ya?"

"...." She had no words for a moment as she fought to collect herself. Finally, after another long pause, she let out a troubled sigh. "You're.... you're joking, right? This is a joke, right?" It had to be a joke. There's no way the warden of the group was actually like this, was there? If he was, she had half a mind to march right up to Mother E'tani and demand a reassignment, as if she had some power or sway over the Nemesis. Of course, she didn't, but if this was real...
"First of all. Carlotta-kun. Not that hard." She then retorted with narrowed eyes. "Not that hard at all, actually. Call me Cleric again and I'll cut your tongue out and feed it to whatever spooks you're talking about." Was that how to talk to the Warden, probably not. Would she get her tail handed to her for disrespect? More than likely. Did she care? Well, the answer was no, no she didn't. Not at all, actually. "Second, we're training today."

The pride disappeared from his expression and the tom's eyes narrowed into a frown. So he had a sassy one? Although Mother E'tani wanted him to remain as crazy as possible so the cats of Primal Instinct would be relaxed around him, he surely couldn't train a trainee under these circumstances. At least not one like Carlotta-kun who wasn't going to listen to someone she didn't respect. "We're training today?" He tilted his head as if confused. "I thought tomorrow was training day but then again tracking the spooks has gotten the days mixed up for me." He took his back leg and began to scratch the balding spot behind his ear as he tried to think about the day. Eventually he paused in his scratching and shrugged his shoulders. "Well, the spooks won't fight themselves. Let's go, Cherry-kun!" he swished his tail for the trainee to follow as he lead her out of the mansion.

Her ears flattened to her head, and suddenly she began to doubt that Mother E'tani had much judgement at all, promoting this cat. She had been so honored to get the warden, for this to be how the warden acted? There was a part of her that felt like she ought to march right up to the Nemesis and demand a replacement, but she paused. Maybe he had some sort of defining qualities, even if the bolts were lose.
"What in god's name is a spook?" she asked after a moment, before blinking. "You know? I probably don't want to know, do I?" She was half grumbling by now, all of her good mood gone. "And are you daft? I said it was Carlotta," she then corrected again, looking more frustrated with time.

"The spooks are the spooks, Carl-kun." He said simply. At least he had been closer this time. If anything at least Carlotta-kun would be able to use that one as a nickname. "Pfft, kids these days, not knowing what the spooks are..." He shook his head and chuckled to himself as he led Carlotta-kun towards the Dead Forest. There was plenty of places to train close to the Estate, but the tom wanted to ensure the duo was alone. After all, he had to make sure Carlotta-kun knew to respect him. "We're almost there! The spooks are just up ahead!" the tom said excited as The Dead Forest came into view and the tom took off running. He'd see if she could keep up to start.
