Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Any amount of cats and members can join in at anytime! ^-^)
Glowstar burst into camp, the blue feathers stuck to her ears swayed forward as if the wind had just caught up to her. She took on breath of air to breathe before blurting out, "Duskslayer is trapped! I know he's a SunClan warrior, but he's trapped in a two-legs monster, but the two-leg got out. We have time to save him, but I need more cats to do this, I don't have the height to hit the latch to let him out, but if someone got up on my back I think we could really pull this off, but we'd also need a look out," Glowstar rambled before waving her paw, "I get that he's SunClan, but SunClan's a part of our alliance and he's my son so will someone please help me?"
It was just like Glowstar to ask instead of demand for help, even though she was leader she never forced her cats to fight in any war and she never led them into trouble unless they agreed to it first. She valued their life and gave them far more freedom to devote their lives to DayClan by not them proving themselves, but DayClan proving to be a place worth loving and protecting. Now she stood at the entrance of camp with big emerald eyes staring at DayClan with such an amount of hope in her eyes it was hard to say no even if someone wanted to. There was no question she'd do anything for anyone in the clan and now she was looking or rather asking for the same kindness in return.
She would've ignored it for just about any other SunClan cat. She should've ignored it, let some other cat offer to help the leader. She squeezed her eyes firmly shut as she remained curled near the edges of the camp, soaking up the sun as one ear stayed pricked for the sound of pawsteps hurrying towards their leader. She didn't turn her head to face Glowstar, feigning that she was asleep, but both eyes flashed open as the older she-cat continued. Her son. Of course it would be. It was silly, ridiculous, the thought that first ran through the warrior's head. Her mother was - had been - Fearfulwhisper no matter what she might wish, but she couldn't shake the idea away. Slowly she got to her paws.
"I'll go," Twistedecho said, padding up to Glowstar. She gave a shake of her fur, trying to ignore the rising fear of going to help a SunClan cat, before she looked back over her shoulder at the rest of the Clan. "Who else?" The question was spoken soft enough to barely be heard, mostly towards herself as she scanned the cats in the camp. She couldn't imagine two cats, even if Glowstar was one of those cats, doing well in anything to do with a Twoleg monster alone - the mere thought made the fur along her spine rise for a moment before she gave another small shake, hoping to hide the signs of her fear among her naturally scruffy pelt. But who would risk going near a monster for a SunClan cat?
"I don't know, but let's just go now," Glowstar said already racing off in the direction she had come from. There was really no saying when the two-leg would return back to the monster and while she would have loved a third cat unless that third cat was trailing behind or they happened to come across them while she ran she was not going to wait up for them. Time was literally of the essence. Given DayClan's open territory it wasn't long before they burst out from the grove towards the flower glades before stopping short, ahead of them Twistedecho could make out the monster parked in the hot sun in the distance.
Pawsteps could be heard, Rubyflame coming up behind them, the ginger and whtie she cat was a former kittypet, she knew twolegs better than most. And experience with her previous owners taught her that none could be trusted.
While she had no love for SunClan, Duskslayer was Glowstar's son, and it was thanks to Glowstar and others she had her own kits back. She wasn't about to let her leader and friend down in her time of need.
She caught up to them as they reached the monster. She took it in, it was one of the large ones that normally carried many twolegs.
"Right, let's get him out." She immediately began looking for the open door into the monster, going towards the back first hoping that'd be open, otherwise they'd have to deal with the seats and all the other obstacles that came with getting inside the monster through other entry ways.
Windchaser was enjoying a piece of prey when Glowstar burst through the entrance to camp. She stood, ears perked in surprise. When Glowstar announced what was happening, Windchaser hesitated. No way she was going to help a Sunclan cat. Forget about it. But the desperate look in Glowstar's eyes pierced her heart like a thorn. She had always been fiercely loyal to Glowstar, looking up to her as a role model and now her son was in trouble. Swallowing her pride, she let out a sigh. Of course she gave in to Glowstar, she always seemed to. She raced after her leader, hard on Glowstar's heels. She could have run faster but Glowstar knew where the monster was, she didn't.
She halted when they arrived at the monster. "Great Starclan" she muttered as she stared at the large monster in front of her that had Glowstar's son trapped inside. "Rubyflame, I don't think there are any open doors. We might have to get the latch that Glowstar mentioned before."
"So here's what I'm thinking, I'll stand over here," Glowstar said walking to the back doors, "Rubyflame will stand on top of me and then Windchaser, you're fast so you can run up our backs and hit the latch. Then Twistedecho can leap inside fast and take a look at that lock."
She was worried as Glowstar hurried off, casting a quick glance behind her for anyone else moving to follow. She breathed a low sigh of relief as Windchaser moved to follow as well, slipping through the camp's entrance just before the other she-cat. She pushed herself as fast as she could to keep up with Glowstar. One ear turned at the sound of a fourth set of pawsteps, the ruddy-brown warrior only checking the air enough to make sure it was another Clanmate before focusing on the path their leader set. Her sprint slowed to a jog to a walk as the monster came into sight, her fur rising in instinctive fear at the thing. She was relieved it wasn't just her and Glowstar and that Windchaser and - she finally turned towards the fourth cat to join the patrol, one ear twitching in acknowledgement of other she-cat's presence - Rubyflame had joined in to help.
Her attention switched between Glowstar as she elaborated her plan and the forest as Twistedecho stayed alert for signs of the Twoleg's return. Her eyes locked onto the leader, though, at the mention of her own name and she gave a sharp nod of confirmation. Hopefully Duskslayer wouldn't care if she was the one to enter the monster first. Maybe he wouldn't even know who she was. She padded up close to the back of the monster, tilting her head back far to gaze up at it. Then, glancing towards Glowstar, she said, "Ready whenever you are." She crouched down halfway in preparation, ears angled back to listen for any heavy footsteps.
Windchaser nodded in understanding, beaming at Glowstar's plan for her to hit the latch. Glowstar almost always chose her to do anything that required speed. It made her feel proud of her gift. She examined the latch, making sure she knew how to hit it before she ran up onto the other cats. She waited for them to get into position. This was a good plan. "Im ready." She told Glowstar, backing up a little so she could get a running start.
Glowstar nodded to Rubyflame and once she got on top of her back she gave Windchaser the affirmative. Truthfully if anyone was going to get it done it would be these three cats. Rubyflame had strategy on her side, Windchaser had speed, and Twistedecho had a great amount of resilience.
Windchaser darted forward, gaining speed. As she neared the other cats, she ran up their "ramp",her paws light on their backs, offering very little weight. She hit the latch with her front paw, kicking off the monster and doing a back flip on the way down, landing with a soft thud on her paws. She flicked her ears forward as the back opened up like gaping jaws.
Her eyes remained locked on Windchaser as she struck the latch, her tail giving a lash as the back swung open. She waited a moment, just long enough for a wide enough gap to open up, before she leapt up into the inside of the monster. A shiver ran through her as her paws landed on a cold, flat surface, but she ignored her discomfort to explore the inside. "Duskslayer!" she called, blinking against the semi-darkness inside. "Where are you?" She sniffed at the air, trying to sort out the scent of SunClan through the mingled smells of many more cats than she had expected. Most were stale - they obviously weren't here anymore - but her fur began to rise as she continued her search for Glowstar's son.
He was trapped in a plastic container in the back with metal bars at the front of the cage. The latch was thin and stick like making it hard for anyone to get a grip on.
Glowstar's gaze for once, moved nervously back and forth across her surroundings, "Windchaser and Rubyflame, go help, I'll keep watch and annihilate any two-leg that comes close."
Windchaser nodded briskly to Glowstar before leaping into the monster. Every instinct was telling her to turn tail and run but she forced herself further into the belly of the beast. She approached the crate and examined it. "How do we open it?" She wondered aloud.
