Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Any amount of cats and members can join in at anytime! ^-^)
Leucisticcrow hadn't made much of an appearance in DayClan as of late, unknown to DayClan, but not Glowstar he had been primarily helping Primal Instinct out since DayClan hardly had any issues this time of the year with greenleaf and all. However DayClan reported sighting a two-leg ONCE and were now a little freaked out about it so he decided to come to be their big bad wolf to protect them from some scaredy cat two-leg. Hopefully the hunting patrol would be able to push away any concerns of a two-leg roaming about the woods and could instead focus on providing for their clan. It wasn't hard when prey seemed to be everywhere. Even as he walked two mice scurried across black paws, the nerve!
He quickly flattened down one of the mice taking a bite out from its neck and swallowing it. Yeah yeah, warrior code and all, but it was a kill bite and he got a tiny scrap of a snack. He licked his lips, "How much prey does everyone have so far?" Leucisticcrow asked as he fanned himself with his paw, the heatwave out tonight was ridiculous.
"About six mice. Which is about half a mouse more than you have," Kasdeya responded, watching her former (and current?) clanmate take a bite of the mouse. She didn't particularly care, but she couldn't help but make a scalding comment towards the tom she had been familiar with when she had lived in Primal Instinct. She sat a few feet away from him now, peering at him with her mismatched eyes with her long fluffy tail draped over her front feet. This patrol wasn't her first choice- she was an okay hunter, but her true passion lay in fighting. Still, there wasn't much fighting happening that day, so she had begrudgingly tagged along.
Foxtrotter padded up and reported his catch, "I have caught two squirrels, a mouse, and a vole." It wasn't as much as Kasdeya's pile of mice but it was good for him, considering this was his first time out as a warrior. He swept his feathery fox tail along the forest floor, standing proudly over the prey he had manage to catch, his green eyes with golden specks beamed with happily.
Leucisticcrow gave a wry grin at the two of them, poor hunting in DayClan, yet in the league that would kind of meal would be worth a lot. There was no such thing as prey in Primal Instinct, every living creature could attack back and given the lack of mice it was filled with rats instead who could definitely attack back with long snouts and sharp wild fangs.
"Right," Leucisticcrow said, "Yeah, I think we can go back to camp and if you're still up for it we can go out and hunt again once we drop the prey off. I'm telling you, I've seen a coyote on DayClan land before, I think it knows cats have been burying their prey to come back to later and is slowly being attracted to the lands."
He moved at a bit of a brisker, pace, but his ears pointed upwards at the sudden sound crashing towards them. Whatever the sound was it was loud and huge and incapable of being stealthy. Leucisticcrow immediately darted to the side as a two-leg came barrelling out from the bushes seemingly looking over its shoulder to see if something was following it before making eye contact with the patrol. In the two-legs hand was a kittypet crate and a blanket.
Mysterypaw, who had come on the patrol to get away from the fact was grumbling and muttering under her breath. She wasn't as quick as some of these cats, and it had cost her a bird and a rabbit earlier. She had managed to catch a small mouse but it did nothing to ease her irritation.
she hadn't responded to Leucisticcrow and so wrapped up in her frustration she bumped into Leucisticcrow from behind, she opened her mouth dropping her mouse to start saying something. When the twoleg appeared, green eyes widening in horror the young she cat froze at the sight of it. She'd never seen a twoleg before, even at a distance, much less up close. It was huge!
Foxtrotter froze in terror, his green eyes widened. No matter how hard he tried to move his paws, he couldn't move. Every fur on his pelt was standing on end as he stared up at the two-leg with a kittypet crate.
The two-leg immediately used the arm holding the blanket to grab onto Mysterypaw's scruff before trying to force her into the open door crate with his other arm.
Leucisticcrow quieted his initial thought, Senescence had taken on two-legs, so could he. He was a massive cat, he knew that and the two-leg probably could tell too. Maybe he could scare him long enough for the others to get away. He quickly faked running to the left before running to the right behind the two-leg and with his claws unsheathed leapt onto the two-legs back letting out feral hissing, his plan being to claw the guys face off.
"Run!" Leucisticcrow hissed as he took another leap further up towards the two-legs shoulders. This time the two-leg dropped the blanket, but if he succeeded in getting Mysterypaw into the crate when he dropped the crate it landed on the door preventing her from getting out. The two-leg tried to force the tom off from his back which wasn't exactly easy given he wasn't a light in weight by any means and was harder to pry off.
Foxtrotter stared at the crate. Maybe if I can get the door open, I could release Mysterypaw, he thought rushing over to the crate. He tried to move it but as Leucisticcrow fought the two-leg, it stepped back and landed a foot right on Foxtrotter's tail. He yowled with pain, and swiped at the two-legs foot that had stomped on his tail.
Kasdeya fought the scowl off her face, darting forward to drag her claws across the twolegs pale flesh, thankful that her time in the League had taught her exactly how to twist her needle-sharp appendages so they caused the most pain. She didn’t stick around, however, sensing that the twoleg was distracted enough by Leucisticcrow and Foxtrotter. Instead she moved forward, examining the complicated twoleg trap. “Mysterypaw, are you alright?” She hissed under her breath, her mismatched eyes taking in the mechanism she would have to open to free the younger cat.
(Id prefer her not to be captured but theyll have to flip the crate to get her out. Worst comes to worse Ill rp her escaping in the other quest thread at the twoleg den XD)
Mysterypaw had gone completely stiff. She hadnt been able to react, frozen with terror as the twoleg lifted her up. The ground getting several tail lengths away. But in the grip of the twoleg it felt too far down.
Then she was being thrust into the crate.
Then the crate was falling ajd she let out a yowl as she hit the ground trapped inside. "Help!" She cried struggling to her paws her whole bpdy currently up against the wire mesh of the crate's door that was on the ground. "I cant get out!" Her body hurt from the impact but what was more pressing was that she was TRAPPED.
Foxtrotter slipped away from the two-leg, Leucisticcrow seeming to have it distracted. He stood at the crate with Kasdeya, Mysterypaw trapped inside. "Hold on Mysterypaw! We will try to get you out!" He examined the crate. "The door is on the ground. We need to flip it." He mewed to Kasdeya, trying to keep his anxiety at a minimum.
“Yes, the door,” Kasdeya responded, trying to act like she knew was a door was- her nonexistent exposure to twolegs bordered on a liability in cases like this. The wiry she cat moved back a step, rearing up on her back paws to brace herself against the side of the crate. She waited for Foxtrotter to do the same. “Mysterypaw, we’re going to knock the thing over. Stay calm, okay?”
"I am calm!" Mysterypaw retorted even as her breathing quickened, hysteria starting to slip in as she wondered why Kasdeya needed to tell her to stay calm. And what did they mean they were knocking it over?! "Be careful! I can't grip anything in here!"
"We'll try to be careful" he promised Mysterypaw. Foxtrotter always has a gentle voice and often could make cats feel at ease around him. "On a count of three, okay? One...two...three!" Foxtrotter pushed the crate on the same side Kasdeya was on to knock it over. The crate rocked and eventually, Kasdeya and Foxtrotter managed to knock the crate over and the door swung open.
