News & Updates
11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
These will end once we have a sufficient number of applicants and are satisfied with our choices.
POSITIONS CURRENTLY OPEN -
ACECOOP The acecoop is the equivalent of a medicine cat apprentice. They also have the ability to see/contact the dead once they have assumed the position until death. If you currently hold a medical position on the site that is not RP then you can not tryout for this position.
CURATE Assist the High Priest whenever requested. Provide religious counsel for any member of the Monarchy. Provide minor blessings such as mateship blessings. Assist in funeral rites. Train the Magistratus. This is a role-play position and anyone is eligible, including rpers of brookclan gods.
MAGISTRATUS (2) Assist in any way the Curate requests. Provide protection and support for the Curate and High Priest. Learn religious rules from the Curate. Prosecute all religious crime cases. Perform religious executions. This is a role-play position and anyone is eligible, including rpers of brookclan gods. We are looking for two cats to fill these positions.
KEEP IN MIND -
- I highly recommend reading up on the religion or at least skimming it. I know it looks long and detailed, I am currently working on simplifying it currently.
- Brookclan staff/rp positions have weekly activity requirements. You will be required to do a certain number of contributions, however it will not be more than 5 a week.
- There may be more tryout information added for Vrachi, however please follow the format below for the time being.
- Your cat still needs to have a dedication to a god.
FORMAT -
Position(s) trying out for: you may be considered for as many as you would like and as few as one, just be specific.
Cat Name and Bio: There is no minimum or maximum length requirement, however I do recommend giving it a little thought. Cat Picture: If they're selected they get to have a picture on the page c; You can wait to provide this until chosen if you want. Cat Dedication: For a list of gods visit the brookclan page or guide.
Point of Appeal: AKA whatever you want to make yourself look good. Do you have a character arc in mind? A plot idea for Brookclan? This can be as simple as how they will get along with the current staff or as complicated and detailed as you want. We simply want to see your thoughts on your character and the group within this section. You may do all of the above or something else that comes to mind. Regardless, be sure to put something! I want to encourage creativity and to help you form a bond and connection to your character.
Cat Name and Bio: RAINE - The daughter of the second tsar, Anastasia, and the granddaughter of the first tsar, Aiden, she is royalty at it's finest. The main goal tasked by her mother to her siblings and her being to bring Brookclan back into the clutches of their family. Named after the first female of their family line, Rainveig, she's similar in personality of her ancestor. She's fiercely protective of her siblings for one. She will also do anything to ensure her family isn't painted as the weakest amongst the rest of the families. She's also incredibly outspoken, not afraid to speak her mind, and is confident in herself for the most part. All the same, she has a motherly side to her after being abandoned by their mother once they were old enough to hunt for themselves. Raine had to pick up the slack and look after her siblings, especially her youngest brother Finn who has health problems.
Point of Appeal: AKA whatever you want to make yourself look good. Do you have a character arc in mind? Raine has had a character arc for awhile. She wants to slowly move her way up in the ladder, and has people in power already helping her do this (although they're doing it for their own goals, but she doesn't know this). She wants to be able to bring House Rainveig back to the powerhouse it was before everything went to crap, especially since her mother abandoned them saying she wouldn't return until Brookclan is theirs once more. Although she's simply following out her mother's orders, she's really doing this for Finn and to ensure his health problems stay as much as a secret as possible.
A plot idea for Brookclan? I have a whole plot idea that involves the Gods essentially turning their backs on Brookclan and a demon that's currently in PI. So essentially, the Gods become angry either because they feel like Brookclan has grown weak which in turn makes them view this as disrespectful as they're weak despite all the gifts, or they feel like Brookclan hasn't been worshiping them enough, or anything else really. They begin causing havoc in Brookclan based on their powers. So God of Balance would start causing all the Brookclan cats to have hallucinations (visual projection), the God of Life will set out some kind of sickness that repeatedly and painfully kills cats but they're brought back to life just to suffer the same fate (transmutation), God of Death begins having cats have angry outbursts where they attack other Brookclan members and thus they're forced to be locked away as prisoners (manipulation of emotions), God of Chaos causes mob mentalities where they get upset over little things and start destroying parts of the territory (cognitive manipulation), and God of Order causes natural disasters to happen such as flooding, river drying up, ect (destruction). Brookclan tries everything to appease the gods. They try to bring the games back, but the gods feel like they should have been having the games regularly to begin with. The high priests try to advise Brookclan to start having more religious crime trials, so those that aren't praying regularly or seem like they're not as religious as they should be are brought to trial and are given harsher punishments then usual (longer sentences in prison, exile, or even having some cats executed). They also start having major blessings with all three of the people in the UTI religious positions. The Vrachi and Acecoop try talking directly to the gods (because they can see spirits?), but they can only get the attention of a few gods who begin to feel sorry for the Brookclan cats but even they are powerless to stop the other gods rage. All the same, the Brookclan leader is unable to receive their 9 lives because of all this crap going on, and desperate to keep their family in power and to essentially save Brookclan they begin traveling to other clans for aid. None of them are able to help with this unique problem, but Primal Instinct hears about this problem and Mother E'tani approaches Asger. She explains that they can help with this problem, but they will need young cats (apprentice or kit age). Desperate, Asger sends out some of the Cyd and/or Dvoryane to either steal kits from Brookclan, but make it look like something else happened to them, or even go as far as steal kits from other clans. Mother E'tani sacrifices the kits to the demon that lives in the crypt in PI, and the demon is able to seal the Gods to where the Gods can no longer interfere within the mortal realm (note, they're not dead, essentially their powers get taken or weakened or sth??? will make it interesting too as the God rpers can roleplay out this unique problem). Everything begins to go well, but PI is now greedy because Brookclan owes them one. So they begin to demand not only moonly sacrifices (required to keep the demon locked in place), but even now demand young for their own benefit. Asger puts up with it for a little bit while Brookclan rebuilds itself, but once he gets his 9 lives and rebuilds Brookclan he makes it known to Mother E'tani that he no longer wishes her assistance and that this alliance of sorts is called off. Mother E'tani isn't happy about this, but knows that'll be their own downfall as she stops giving the demons sacrifices. The demon releases the seal on the Gods, and either we can have them cooled off after their long time away from the Brookclan (as they begin to realize how much they appreciated what Brookclan did offer them), or they can stay angry and we can do more with that anger. I'm not sure how Asger is, but maybe he gets angry with PI for forcing him to do things he otherwise wouldn't do and thus plans an attack (or he can just let it go, just trying to find interesting things to happen here lol). Anyway, that was my idea xD Sorry that it's so long!

Position(s) trying out for: ACECOOP
Cat Name and Bio: ELK - A gentle giant is not the first thought that comes to mind when approached by Elk. This massive dark bracken tabby with pale yellow eyes seems to stand a head taller than most. His massive size giving many thought that perhaps he was better suited as a Viony prepared to fight and train than the Acecoop set aside for the god's and blessed in healing. Yet this tom has the lightest touch. Born and raised in BrookClan Elk has seen several generations of monarchs come and go yet he has remained like a redwood firmly set in its roots. Elk was always expected to be a great fighter but when the kitten turned out to be a dedicate to Marli his mother nearly cast him into the forest to die. But his massive strength in a rolling muscles and grand potential saved his furry tail. Now Elk resides in a place or power just under the monarchy themselves. While he is by no means power hungry he understands the power in his paws. He decides life and death. He decides who lives beyond his den and stale moss nests. Elk is self taught in both the medicinal herbs and the poisonous ones. Though he keeps his darker side to himself. Perhaps is it Nivets slight influence that keeps him always wondering weather its true balance for the cat in his care to live or die. Elk seems to only see cats as patients and never anything more. His anti social nature allowing him to treat every cat with seemingly equal disdain or apathy. Don't get me wrong he very good at his job but he is always whispering in ears and swaying hearts with his own agenda in mind.
Cat Dedication: Marli Point of Appeal: AKA whatever you want to make yourself look good. Okay so Elk is kind of a sociopath. However this is not necessarily known just by interacting with him. Hes a little socially awkward because of the treatment he received from his mother as a kit and his lack of friends as he was a very massive kitten. Some secret part of him wishes to make people pay for his unfortunate life. Seeing his blessing as Acecoop as the god's granting his hearts desire to see his pain is felt by others. He is good at his job but in very undertone ways can be found to be taking the gods decisions into his paws and dealing the judgements of balance when a cat on the brink comes to his den. Does he try to save them or does he take their life and restore balance? Elk tends to be short with everyone so i think him either gettign along really well with the monarchs or not at all would be cool. hes always whispering in ears trying to push his own agenda so maybe getting a little too close to the monarchs and pressing objectives to a dramatic painful plot later on would be cool. This would require a lot of group discussion because of the aspects involved and the long timeline. :3
