Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The gangly ginger tom hovered awkwardly at the edge of the ceremony, his head lowered as he watched the cats begin to drift apart through the cave. The former rogue had never been a mentor before and he was already regretting accepting when the offer was made, but it was too late now. "Uh, come on, Littlepaw," he muttered, looking for the tiniest apprentice in the group and assuming that one would belong to him.
(I was confused at first like... did this thread exist i'm so dumb??? And then realized it was only made 2 hours ago my bad)
The tiny brown she-cat's head shot up out of the group, her ears perked as she heard her name and she weaved through the others gracefully to do a small jump and land in front of him. "Are we going training?" She asked, a glint of excitement in her large yellow eyes.
“Uh— yes,” he agreed cautiously. Why not? He eyed her like she might say something else and give him a hint as to what exactly he should be doing, then turned to look at the camp exit. “It’s too loud on here,” he barely heard himself saying, “let’s go talk outside and then get started.”

She gave a tiny, determined nod to the larger cat and weaved through the others, traveling just ahead of the other cat and heading outside. Once there, she did another little jump to firmly plant her paws and opened her jaws to take in the scents surrounding them. It was a bit overwhelming for her still but she did not give any sign that it was before looking over her shoulder and waiting for him to arrive or say something to her.
Lex shook his head and followed after her, wishing someone would interrupt and tell him this was all a joke. No cat did, though, and soon enough he was standing in the rocks outside the waterfall beside his apprentice. He hated climbing down here, it was slick and dangerous, but he didn’t have much of a choice. It was the only way into the camp. He shook his short fur as water droplets flew toward him from the falling water and started to carefully pick his way down to Littlepaw.
“Make sure you climb slowly. If you fall you’ll get hurt,” he told her, “and then you still have to walk all the way back up to Juniper after.”

"Of course." She grinned up at him and climbed up, watching her paw steps carefully but moving forward fearlessly. "Do you not like coming up here?" She called out over the roar of the water. He didn't seem very enthusiastic and there was clear hesitation in his eyes.
