Pond was hunting a rabbit when an odd pecking sound echoed across the land. The rabbits ears twitched and before the initiate could even act the rabbit had launched himself through a thick patch of bushes. He stared hopelessly after the rabbit as a fog surrounded the land, as he soon began to realize that he was lost within his own territory. In the distance the tom could hear a river, and cats often went to the river so he called out if anyone was there. But even if someone was there it was impossible to see even a fox length in front of themselves at this point.
"Pond?" As their kits were getting older, Twilightbell found herself taking a bit more time away from them as being cooped up in the nursery had often left her restless and bored. She followed the sound of his voice until she could tell that he was right in front of her. "Is everything alright?" She tilted her head to the side. Perhaps he had heard something odd or just wanted to know who was out here. Either way, she didn't really mind running into him out here.

"The fog. I can't see where I am." Try as he might, he could barely see where he was, and without the underlying knowledge of the terrain, he found himself entirely lost. For once it struck him that this must be how Twilightbell felt all the time, without her sight to guide her places. "I was hunting, but it'd be useless for me to try in this." Unlike her, he was hopelessly useless without his sight.
This drew a smile from Twilightbell. "That is what happens when you become too dependent on your sight." She flicked his shoulder with her tail before she turned around. "Come on. I can lead you back to the camp." While the fog would make things a bit more difficult for her as well, she was confident that she should be able to navigate the territory with little to no problem. "You know, in a way this makes me think of times when we would sneak out at night to see each other. When we had fog like this it was always easier to get out of the camp without being detected." Of course fog made no real difference to her other than the fact that it could sometimes make it harder to pick out certain scents. "Things have certainly changed since then...It's hard to believe it, but the kits should be promoted in a moon or so. Part of me is actually going to miss Solarkit's incessant complaining." It made things interesting if nothing else.
He offered a slight chuckle of his own. Pond never would have thought it would come in handy to be blind one day. "Oh, not going to miss Morningkit waking up long before the crack of dawn?" He questioned, whiskers twitching in amusement. Their son loved to be grumpy, and their daughter was a ray of sunshine. Perhaps a bit too chipper and enthusiastic at times.
This drew a small laugh out of Twilightbell. "I tend to be an early riser anyway. Where do you think she got that from?" Now while she did think that Morningkit was a bit too happy in the morning, it was the best way to be in SunClan honestly. It would make it easier for their daughter in the long run since she was sure some would always doubt her children for being half MoonClan. "But I suppose if you would like, I could start sending her to wake you up in the mornings as well. I'm sure she would if I asked her to. She might even bring Solarkit with her."
