"Mayakit, you sit there and be good. I'm going out for a walk. If you need anything go find your uncle." Her other kits were around and spent much of their time in the nursery playing with th eother kits. Mayakit had a tendency to follow her around, especially when she was working so she had to keep a close eye on her these days. She gave the growing kit a loving lick before slipping out and heading out of camp. She was on the search for some herbs and just needed to get out of camp. It was stuffy and as much as she loved her kits, it was... strange. Not like many of the other queens who had mates ot help them that loved each other. Her and Blankpiece... didn't really even know each other and had not talked much since the kits were born.
To say fatherhood was an oddity would be an understatement. Blankpiece didn’t know what to make of it. With questions on his mind, he had followed Flyingcolors into the territory with a heaviness in his heart. He was worried that should he say anything, everything between them would change. Whether that was a good thing or not he had yet to know.
Padding up behind the healer, a small smile stretched across his face. “Need any help?”

She blinked up at him as he approached her and she could not help feeling surprise at it. "Uh, sure. I always need help carrying herbs and my apprentice is off.... somewhere."

Her ears twitched as he said kids and she turned around to head in the right direction. "I'm looking for marigold, specifically. There's a patch over this way." The air between them felt awkward and she wasn't entirely sure what to say or do with herself around him.

"We could just talk right now. We don't seem to run into each other very often... usually..." it was weird and awkward. She had never imagined she would have kits with a Tom she never knew. She had wanted to be loved and adored the way Soaringdawn adored his mate but she had never felt connected to a cat in that way before.
