Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
And it's a beautiful crime. Looking towards the sky, from the subtle change in hue it would seem as though the day he had set off to do had escaped him much faster than anticipated. Even with far as he had wandered, it had come as a surprise to Thanatos that he hadn't already run into somebody. Perhaps it was his new homes scent that scared away any potential prospects, but even with that as the reason it seemed far to soon. Only having recently set his roots down to grow within Primal Instinct, it seemed unlikely that it was the case, but if it really was true then they were in a much sadder state than he thought.
Having fallen into the ambassador faction, it was his obligation to gather info on the rogue and loners within the area, but seeing as how their was no proxy to station him wherever he needed to be, he'd taken it upon himself to do what he did best; wander...
Tail tip flicking just at the tip, instead of turning around quietly the tom continued to wander further until a scent crossed his path. "Perhaps it wasn't a complete waster after all.." He hummed to himself while an inward smile tugged at the corner of his mouth
He wasn't alone anymore...someone or something was keeping an eye on him. "Hm, it's not everyday I find someone who can sneak up behind me.." He mentioned allowed, knowing full well whoever it was, was within earshot.
"Clearly I can't do it successfully," Kasdeya remarked in a withering tone, emerging from behind a large oak tree. The long, lean, and fluffy cream she-cat looked over Thanatos with a glance that was simultaneously appraising and dismissive. "You reek of Primal Instinct, and you're on clan territory. State your business or leave." Kasdeya had to remind herself to not attack him on the spot- she had been a League cat once, and it would not be good diplomacy to attack simply because the scent of her old home made her heart-rate spike.
"Oh, well don't sell yourself to short there." The tom's eyes gleamed a musing light while just as she had appraised him, subtly he had been doing the same. She seemed odd to him though he couldn't place his paw on the reason why; call it intuition or a gut feeling, but given what he'd taken in, well she at least wasn't uninteresting right off the bat.
At the mention of his scent, Thanatos turned his head towards his shoulder to take a sniff. "Is that so? I just recently acquired this scent so I can't say I knew that, but that certainly explains why I've been given such a cold shoulder.." A half smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "a shame really but I guess it comes with the territory." He seemed surprisingly indifferent about the whole situation, despite the suspicious look she was giving him.
"Well I apologize for the whole border crossing, I'm afraid I'm still getting used to those..I was following a loner but I seemed to have wandered to far." He explained, "well according to you at least." He was smiling at her now.
Kasdeya’s eyes were the most distinguishing thing about her- one a brilliant sunset orange, the other a gleaming sapphire blue marked by a brown birthmark. She didn’t recognize Thanatos, but if they had seen each other in the League at all, he might remember her. Though she had been in the Punishment sector, and she was certain he hadn’t been there.
“If it was an accident, then I’d be happy to escort you to the border and see you on your merry way,” Kasdeya moved closer to the tom, watching him closely to make sure he wasn’t going to attack suddenly. “I’ll even point out Dayclan’s border so you don’t cross it again.”
Still relaxed with a smile he waited until she was close, stepping back and allowing her the lead. "After you then miss..." Thanatos bowed a little just for show as she walked past him in a manner that told him she seemed unimpressed by his gestures, which only made him want to play with her more.
"You know I'm not going to pounce on you." He commented as he noted her glancing half over her shoulder a moment as the pair walked along together. "There's no need to be so tense in my presence." He mused while he watched her from the side. "I really am no threat to you."
"Mm." Kasdeya resisted the urge to roll her eyes, her grunted 'agreement' showing Thanatos that he would have a hard time convincing her of his harmlessness. "I know the League, and I know your type," she responded simply, wishing they were closer to the border so she wouldn't have to spend as much time with him.
Everywhere she turned was a reminder of her former home- even some cats within Dayclan went back and forth between the two groups. It was like a wound on her soul that continued to fester, refusing to heal.
