Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Skye had formerly been assigned to Brookclan for a few months, but had eventually returned to RR, and been sent out again to Waterclan. He hadn't bothered taking another name yet- he'd probably do that next time, but it was only his second assignment. He'd been a warrior of Waterclan for around a week, and was getting settled into the routine. It was certainly more lax than Brookclan had been, without the whole monarchy thing going on.
The gray tabby tom was searching the fresh-kill pile now, looking for something to eat for lunch. There was a weird amount of fish here, which wasn't his favorite. He brightened as he found a mouse, taking it between his teeth and retreating a distance away to enjoy his meal.

Splashpaw had woken early that morning and set out into the territory to hunt, she enjoyed the chase and it was nice to be out alone every now and again, still though she preferred having company she was to social to be on her own for too long. Happy with thee prey she had managed to gather she padded back to camp and slipped into the clearing, her speckled black and white pelt sleek and shinning under the suns warm rays. As Splashpaw looked to the fresh-kill pile she caught sight of Skye, he had been here for a week now but she hadn't spoken a word to him every time she crossed his path her stomach fluttered and she simply ignore it and walk away confused.
Taking as deep a breath as she could she padded to the pile pf prey and deposited her own catch just as the tom plucked up a juicy looking mouse and retreated to eat his meal. Picking up a water vole from the pile she turned and padded over to Skye. "May I join you?" Her words were muffled by the vole in her jaws and she hopped her question had come out clear.
Skye looked up at this new she-cat, pleased that someone had come to talk to him. "Huh? Oh, sure! I'd love to eat with you." Skye let her get settled, taking a bite of his own food and chewing thoughtfully. "I'm Skye, by the way. I was a loner, but I've decided to give clan life a try. What's your name?" She seemed to be young, but on the older side of young- if that made any sense. Skye was barely above Cadet age himself, so he found he often preferred the energy of younger cats rather than the stuffy attitudes of some of the older ones.

Splashpaw let out a small purr as she settled beside the tom and set her meal down. "It's nice to meet you Skye, my name is Splashpaw. I think you will enjoy it here most everyone is pretty friendly." she took a bite of her vole and swiped her tongue around her mouth. "How are you getting on so far? No trouble I hope." She was hoping he hadn't ran into her brother Shallowleap, he wasn't too keen on outsiders and was bound to give Skye some issues.
""Splashpaw. Lovely name. It does fit the whole water theme very well." Skye gave her a charming grin, before tearing off another bite of his food. "Everything is going pretty well, honestly. For the most part, everyone seems welcoming. Have you lived here your whole life?" He looked around camp as he spoke, letting his eyes drift from cat to cat with interest.

Splashpaws ears grew warm at the toms compliment, she wasn't used to things like that and it took her by surprise. "Thank you, I like your name too" She almost whispered the words, hoping she didn't sound weird for complimenting him back. The small she-cat let her gaze follow his as he looked at the cats who were walking around the clearing. "I've lived here since I was born, with my older brother Shallowleap. He is the only family I have here since our parents passed away." Her eyes dulled for a moment as their memory came back but quickly pushed it away the soft glow returning to the icy blue depths.
"What made you decide to join the WaterClan, was it hard being a loner?" She had never met a cat who didn't live in a clan and wondered what it must be like not to have the support of others, it must have been lonely and dangerous or so she thought.
“I’m sorry about your parents. I never knew my own,” he offered gently in return, pushing away the remains of his meal. His long gray tail wrapped around his tabby form, settling on his front paws. “It was an exciting life, but a lonely one,” he lied easily at this point, and he had used the loner story before. “I just happened upon Waterclan territory a bit ago, and I had already been thinking about joining a clan, so I did.”

Splashpaw nodded as he spoke, he seemed to fit in already for the short time he had been here. "Would you like to explore the territory with me? If you are going to live here it would be good for you to know it well, and I could use a run." She had finished her meal and sat up licking a paw and swiping it over her ears. She paused with her paw hanging in mid-air and looked at the grey tom her eyes glittering at the aspect of an adventure with company.
"Lucky for you, I love exploring and running, and I need to learn the territory." Skye tilted his head as he smiled at Splashpaw, his green eyes alight with eager anticipation. "Lead the way, my all-knowing tour guide." With that comment he stood and stretched, rolling back his leanly muscled shoulders. He liked this Splashpaw cat; she was friendlier than he had expected, and she also seemed to appreciate a good adventure.

"Great!" Splashpaw jumped to her paws beside Skye and flicked his shoulder playfully with her tail tip before trotting toward the camp entrance. "Lets go." She purred over her shoulder
Skye followed, a smile still spread across his face. He was a smaller tom, light and nimble, and his gray tabby form wove effortlessly among the other cats of Waterclan. "Where are we going first?" He asked, his shoulder brushing Splashpaw's as they trotted together through the territory surrounding the camp.
Splashpaws ears grew hot as his pelt brushed hers, the slight touch causing her to lose focus for a moment. His question pulled her back to reality and she thought for a moment about where they should go, she had never acted as a tour guide before and her nerves were already starting to grow. "I've always found the lake quite calming, but that may be because I like the water. How do you feel about water?" She turned her head slightly so she could see his face, he wasn't of WaterClan origin, and aside from them most cats were not huge fans of water or getting wet.
"I enjoy looking at it, though I have never been in it before." Skye laughed, his whiskers twitching. "Though I'm willing to learn to swim, if you'll be my teacher." As a handsome and somewhat flirtatious tom, Skye was unaware of how his touch affected those around him- though, he was very touchy mostly because he liked to feel like he had a friend in the foreign clans he visited. "Does everyone in this clan swim?"
"Most of us learn young, living so close to such a large body of water it would be dangerous for us not to know how to swim. It also comes in handy because we eat fish, one wrong move and you can in up in the water flopping around like a fish yourself." She purred in amusement at the thought. "I've never taught anyone how to swim before, it could be fun. Don't worry though I wont let you drown." She gave Skye a sideways glance and smiled shyly, she had a good amount of friends due to her outward personality but something about being alone with this tom made her feel shy.
"Makes sense. I never had a taste for fish, personally." In Brookclan he had struggled to find prey he enjoyed eating, and he was hoping that he wouldn't have the same problem here. He found himself properly silenced when they came in view of the lake, appreciating the beauty of the expansive body of water. "I've always enjoyed a good view," Skye told Splashpaw, giving her a knowing grin that suggested the water wasn't the only thing that captured his attention here. "So I just walk into the water, or what?"
Splashpaws eyes began to glitter as the lake came into view and her body relaxed for a moment as the sound of the water gently lapping at the shore, her focus faltered though as Skye mentioned the sight and looked at her with a grin. She wasn't used to this kind of thing but she wasn't dumb and the meaning of it coursed through her like lightening causing her entire body to grow hot, in her flustered stat she managed to miss a step and her front paws tangled beneath her sending her straight toward the ground with a thud. "Mouse-dung." It came out as a whisper as she hualed herself back to her paws though her legs were unsteady she managed to stay upright and shook out her pelt in an attempt to rid herself of the embarrassment of her fall.
Not looking at the tom she kept her eyes locked on the water. "We can start in the shallows, it might be a bit cold so you will want to let yourself get used to it." Her voice was soft and her pelt was slightly fluffed out, covered in bits of dirt and leaves.
