Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Thane pushed through the ferns and flowery foliage and the annoying cattails, heather, brambles. He shivered, everything touched him. When something touched him in Primal Instincts it was either a snake or an intruder. Being a bit jumpy about it was for survival, but now he had to relax and pretend he wasn't uneasy about these surroundings. Once he placed down the remains of the gardenia he had collected from a bog that was infested with otters the gardenia didn't exactly hold...
He leaned back onto his haunches and waited for Peachblush. Licking a paw he smoothed back his fur. They would meet up like this frequently. He always came to Peachblush, never the other way around. He was excited to tell Peachblush how he defended SpringClan's border from a loner. He left the guy bleeding slowly from the stomach. It just seemed rude to steal a kill that belonged to SpringClan so he figured they should have the honor of finishing the guy off. He rehearsed in his head things to say to Peachblush, topics to hit on. He bit a claw and then placed it down. As a trainee he would get anxious about not being strong enough and would chew on his clans. Any time he'd bite at them he'd be forced to eat dirt. Not by any actual cat, only by himself. He was always his own worse enemy. But because he was meeting with Peachblush he didn't dare lick up any dirt to discourage his bad habit. He hadn't chewed his claws in moons anyways.
"Hello, stranger!" came a jovial voice from nearby. Unsurprisingly, it was Peachblush who came padding out from the undergrowth, looking a little bit worse for wear. The tom had had a stressful couple of days, and was relieved to finally be meeting up with his boyfriend - though sometimes that could be pretty stressful too, for different reasons. Namely, that the warrior code dictated that they couldn't ever possibly fit together, yet the universe seemed to keep on pushing them together anyway.
"I brought food this time." Turning back slightly, he pulled a large rabbit out of the bushes he'd emerged from and gave Thane a warm grin - an open-mouthed one, so Thane could see how dazzlingly white and perfectly straight his teeth were. StarClan bless my good genetics.
"Hey pretty boy," Thane said smoothly, but felt a shiver run down his spine at Peachblush's smile.
Thane nudged and then gently pushed Peachblush down giving him a slow lick across the neck. He was always a bit more rough of a romantic. Seeing Peachblush cute or vulnerable were all things Thane considered hot and at this point he was forgetting the rabbit. He nuzzled deeper into Peachblush's neck before realizing they had literally just said hi and he was already totally losing it just seeing Peachblush. He really had to be around Peachblush more so he didn't get wild this easily. Still... He delicately dragged his paw over Peachblush's chest before withdrawing away, "Heh, you know how I love rabbits, thanks," He said as if all of this was a thank-you for thee rabbit, but he was too arrogant to admit or show any sort of embarrassment from it.
Peachblush, true to his name, blushed faintly. "A lucky guess," he murmured, feeling far too self-conscious than he was comfortable with feeling. He had no reason to be - they were on SpringClan territory, an area Peachblush felt completely at ease in, unless one of his Clanmates happened to stumble upon them. Oh yes, that was what he was worried about. His Clan still didn’t know about Thane. How could he have forgotten?
“W-we are still in public, you know,” he murmured sheepishly, trying as best as he could to swallow his fears and reciprocate. Thane probably had it much worse, trekking all the way over to SpringClan and then having to put up with a boyfriend who could barely handle being nuzzled without looking over his shoulder. Why can't it be simpler?
"Aw c'mon," He said slyly, "we're alone," his voice rolled off in a sing song voice, nuzzling into Peachblush's neck.
"You're the leader anyways, if someone doesn't like it you can do an public execution," Thane whispered, he knew absolutely nothing about clan life and had no idea that Primal Instinct was literally the only place that functioned like that.
Peachblush paused, brow furrowed. "...Hearing you say things like that only serves to reassure me I definitely should sit you down one day and talk about SpringClan's customs," he muttered, taking a small step backwards for a second. "...But you're right, what the hell," he eventually said, brightening up enough to reciprocate Thane's romantic gesture. "Why don't we take a seat and get comfortable, it's unlikely that anyone will come bother us here..."
Thane curled around Peachblush once, caressing his body before lying down for him to lean into him. He was a massive guy so his entire body was basically one big cushion. He wondered what it would be like, when the inevitable happened. When Peachblush would leave him because he wouldn't leave the league, his family for him. But at the same time he wondered if there would ever be apart of him that would go and stay with Peachblush. But at the same time, his mom needed him and being around his littermates made him happy. But so many of them had left their mom... It was why he felt he had to be the loyal son that stayed by her side. He pressed his paw deep into the ground to try to wake himself from thinking such things, he'd enjoy the moment for now.
