Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Honeystormracer, (and whoever picks up Rangerkit and Celestialkit) This is an rp thread for Rubyflame and Fang and their children who are on the cusp of becoming apprentices. Has the kits time in DayClan with their parents helped break through the brainwashing SunClan put them through, or are the kits still at odds with their seemingly loving parents and the brainwashing SunClan has given them.)
Knightkit batted around a mossball, before pausing to look up and look around the camp. He'd been here so long now he was starting to forget what SunClan was like. What Foxstar was like. She'd often been very patient with him, and he had once imagined himself being like her. Responsible for a whole clan, holding so much power and using it seemingly wisely.
The thought of it being a lie, a facade, like every cat in DayClan had told him since his parents Rubyflame and Fang brought him here was... difficult to swallow. He didn't like to think about it, but as it was quiet, the other younger kits taking a nap and his siblings currently doing their thing, restless and eager on the pinnacle of being made apprentices he found himself alone with his thoughts and feelings.
Letting out an aggravated sigh he smacked the mossball to the side hard, it stopping near where Shadowkit was doing... whatever they were doing.
"Hey!" He called to his sibling, "Wanna play?" He asked. An easy distraction from the swirling thoughts in his head.
///---///
By the nursery Rubyflame sat watching her children. Since recovering them she'd felt a distance with them that she'd fought to try and break down, the walls SunClan had built between her and her children. It was a struggle and with them now getting ready to move on to becoming apprentices, she fretted over the very real possibility of them choosing to run away to SunClan. After all sometimes blood wasn't thick enough to hold some cats in a place, and she wasn't sure she'd been able to do enough for the distance put between her and her kits. Not taking her eyes off the kits she got to her paws and began to make way for the warriors den, maybe if she and Fang spent some time with them before they were made apprentices... whatever happened, they'd at least know they loved them.
So she went over to the warriors den and sat down near it.
"Fang," She called turning her head slightly, still keeping her eyes on the clearing where her children played.
Fang felt like he was drowning. Since they'd been freed, the usually lazy tom had taken a much more isolated turn, and it seemed almost like the tom had given up. He wasn't talking to Rubyflame as much, and he always seemed tired, though he was sleeping far more than enough, to the point he'd actually begun losing weight.
In fact, he'd been sleeping when his mate called him. Brought back to sad reality, to the life where his kits didn't truly see him as family, where he felt like he could hardly bring himself to even care that little bit. But he couoldn't just ignore her. That would have been easy, but even as heavy as his heart felt, he couldn't do that to her. So the gray tom hauled himself to his paws, teetering slightly on his paws for a moment before making his way out of the den and sitting down beside her, grogginess written across his feature and unkempt pelt. "Yes, Rubyflame?" He asked, trying to force emotion into his words, shaking his head as if the action could actually clear his head.
Rubyflame turned when he came to join her mouth open to say something, and it snapped shut when she took in his appearance.
She'd been in the nursery for so long it had been easy for the two of them to be apart. Excuses popping into her head everytime she noted how distant she and Fang were. She was tired watching the kits, she didn't have the luxury to go spend time with him. She had to pick up the pieces, she was around the kits day in and out.
But she should've noticed the toll her distance was taking on her mate as well. That he was suffering just as much as she, more so as the kits were with her at least in the nursery, even if emotionally they were distant.
She turned to him and leaned over to give him a nuzzle.
"Hey," She murmured. "I was thinking maybe we spent a day with the kits." She said softly. "have some fun together, a bit of family time. They'll be apprentices soon, so I thought it could be a nice way for us all to spend time together before their duties start taking up their time."
she didn't add the fears she held that once the kits were out of her sight, they'd head back to SunClan.
Celestialkit had wandered off once her mother had turned to speak to her father, slipping back into the nursery for a brief moment. She had intended to poke some smaller kit until it woke up, but she was tossed unceremoniously back out of the nursery by another queen once they saw her reaching into a nest of sleeping kits. The dark ginger kit rolled over after her exit, exhaling sharply in amusement. She had been a little distant from her parents out of solidarity to her siblings, who were questioning their future and all that, but she had just recently decided that the information they'd gotten in Sunclan was a load of rat poop and she wasn't going to take sides anymore. She wasn't quite sure how to go about getting closer to her parents, but she would get around to it.
"Knightkit!" She called to her brother, bounding up to her feet and moving over to him. "I'll play with you."
Knightkit's ears pricked and he turned towards his sister brightening and batting the moss ball over to her. "Catch it!" He cried eagerly as it went careening towards Celestialkit's paws.
The she-kit bounded forward, pinning the mossball securely between her front two paws. Her fluffy tail moved languidly as she crouched, taking a moment to aim the ball at her brother, she returned it with a sweep of her paw. “Now you catch!”

Rangerkit sat beside the nursery letting his gaze flick between his playing littermates and his mother and father, Rubyflame had joined fang by the warriors den where he had been asleep. The small tom made no move to join in on the game he simply sat there his attention now fully on his parents as they spoke, unease bubbled in his chest his trust in them not restored since their return to DayClan he was unsure if he would ever believe them again. Soon enough it wouldn't matter though, he and his littermates would be apprentices soon and he would no longer be forced to go near the two cats who supposedly loved them.
"Rangerkit, get up off your lazy bum and come play!" Celestialkit demanded suddenly, turning her pale blue eyes onto her brother. "You always sit there and look so depressed and thoughtful, it makes me bummed out too."

Rangerkit narrowed his eyes and looked at his sister as she drew him from his thoughts, he didn't want to play but he knew that Celestialkit would only continue to badger him until he caved and he did not want to listen to her mewling. The black and white tom let out a sigh and got to his paws joining his brother and sister. "If you don't like the way I look, then stop looking at me. Your lucky your my sister, I wouldn't let any other cat talk to me that way." There was slight amusement in his voice and he flicked Celestialkits ear with the tip of his tail, he cared for his littermates they had all suffered through the same thing and it was nice having others who understood.
She stuck her tongue out at him, but her eyes were alight with amusement. "Yeah, yeah, if I wasn't your sister you'd beat me up. I get it." She wiggled, turning to Knightkit. "Toss it to Rangerkit next!" Seeing the two of them begin to interact, the small ginger she-kit made her way over to her parents, glancing at her mother as she approached. "Hey," Celestialkit greeted her parents neutrally, but a small smile was on her face. "Whatcha talking about?" It was her first real one-on-one with her parents, and she had already decided to forget Sunclan's lessons, though she couldn't speak for her siblings.

Rangerkit watched his sister as she joined their parent and he let out a hiss. "Where are you going? You are the one who wanted me to play!" He called out to her his eyes narrowed as she began to speak to Rubyflame and Fang, how could she talk to them after what they had been through and been told.
Knightkit batted the moss ball around between his paws, before he flicked it over to Rangerkit. "Catch!" He cried to his brother. He could see his sister going over to their parents but tried to ignore it. Not wanting to delve into parsing through his complicated feelings right now, and focus on playing instead.
Rubyflame turned surprised when Celestialkit came up to them, and her eyes softened. "Oh, we're just musing over what we're going to do today. Have some family time," She was startled, though most of her kits tolerated her presence, once playtime began they were happy to do their own thing, and not interact with Rubyflame or Fang. Seeing Celestialkit's willingness to come up to them, gave her hope her children could come around.
Celestialkit ignored her brother, listening to her mother’s response. “Are we allowed to go explore outside of camp, if we’re all together?” Celestialkit asked Rubyflame, brightening at the prospect of an adventure. “That would be a fun family adventure, I think.” Maybe she could help her siblings see her parents as they truly were, and not through the lies of their old clan. Or maybe they’d view her as some kind of traitor- she just knew that she wanted to make up her own mind about them, and she couldn’t do that if she only saw them how she’d been told to see them.

Rangerkit felt a growl rising in his throat as his sister ignored him, he heard his brother yell for him to catch and looked up to see the moss ball flying his way. As frustration welled up inside of him he snagged the ball with his claws and hurled it back toward his brother before it could hit him. "This is dumb." He hissed under his breath.
