Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sitting at the border with his ginger tail curled around his paws, wet fur only providing some protection against the brilliant heat of the day, Chim wanted nothing more than to retreat into the protective shade of his territory. He was already regretting coming out here in the first place. The SummerClan deputy had visited WaterClan to introduce himself and it had gone well and Chim thought he'd try it too, he heard there was a new BrookClan leader so why not, but he had forgotten: Chimerastar was not charming and he was already getting annoyed with himself for even thinking this was a good plan.
He'd already been waiting a while -- waited for a patrol to come find him, waited for a cat to run back to camp to find their new leader, and now apparently he had to continue to wait because the voiny weren't sure if he should be allowed in the territory or not so he just had to sit and wait here until Ramsay arrived. It was ridiculous and a waste of his time and it took all the ginger tom's willpower not to just give up and leave.
A WaterClan cat, at his border? It was a particularly annoying thought. Not something that the BrookClan Tsar really wanted to deal with. It was a big waste of his precious time, but perhaps he could find some kind of fun with it. The tom finally came from the shadows, his eyes landing upon the half blind leader.
“To what do I owe this pleasure?” His words came out friendly, a rather merry tone. Though, the way the smile curved at the edge of his lips was sign enough that Ramsay was not a force to be reckoned with.
"Just a friendly welcome, leader to leader," he responded, returning a strained smile that did not look nearly genuine, and crumbled away in a moment. He studied the tsar intently. "Our clans have... not always gotten along, but I wished to offer a welcome. Perhaps we can start things off on a better paw." From the little he had heard of Ramsay he doubted it was going to end well at all, but that was okay: he didn't intend to walk away allies, he just wanted a better chance to assess this new leader.
A friendly welcome? Ramsay gazed at the WaterClan leader carefully. It was almost like playing a game, testing out the waters here. The dark furred tom never let the curved smile falter from his lips. Despite his cruel ways, he was quite charismatic. “I see.” He began,”To you as well, then. May we have many seasons of peace.” He dipped his head down and slightly to the side, a small sign of respect. Nothing more.
Chim waited a fraction of a second— was there a catch? Something else to say? He wasn’t a charismatic cat or even that social of one, he was at a loss for how to continue and already cursing himself for this stupid journey. He was too easily inspired without thinking about consequences.
“If you have anything you need of WaterClan, you can always ask,” he added after a short pause, “but I should warn you: we are at peace, but we are not allies. I don’t make any promises that we’ll be able to aid you.”
Ramsay could tell a lot about this cat. He was much older than himself. He had seen many seasons upon seasons of life. Ramsay gazed at him carefully, his words holding no reaction from himself. Finally, he dipped his head slightly. “Very well. We shall see how it goes. Perhaps we will call upon you when we are in need... maybe you’ll be able to help.” A pause. “You can as well, to us. But of course.. as you said. It’s not an alliance. Merely a friendly peace...”
