Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The days seemed long as a kit. Meadowkit always felt bored and so full of energy. Days like these were days that she found herself ever the more curious. So curious, she began sniffing around the medicine cat den. She poked her head inside, her nose being met with what felt like hundreds of smells! Woah! She thought to herself, her eyes rather wide as she slowly took another step into the area. “There’s so many scents...” her voice whispered, straining to pick out even just one.
Juniper leaped a bit in place, startled by the kits voice and presence. The herbs in her mouth dropped with the little yip! that came from her mouth, turning around to see Meadowkit. "Ohh! Meadowkit! You have me quite the scare." The medicine cat giggle lightly as and crouched to her 'younger sisters' level. "Are you okay? Are you hurt or hungry?" She lifted the kit slightly, scanning her small body for any bumps or a grumbling stomach. "Or just a bit lonely?" She set the kit back down and smiled lightly, giving her a quick rasp along the top of her head.
Meadowkit gave her own small eep! noise when lifted slightly from the stone floor. Once she was plopped down she gave a rather massive purr from the tongue along her head, closing her eyes a little and leaning into the medicine cat. “Hey Juniper.” There was a rather content smile placed along the dilute calico’s lips as she then padded a little closer into the den. “I was just... curious is all. There’s so many smells.”
"Oh! Would you like to help me organize the herbs then?" She giggled lightly. Juniper was definitely a curious one when she was a kit. She remembers her days of bothering Goldrush and adventures into the medicine cat den very fondly. While she had seen and experienced so much already in her short life, she felt a strong need to push back the bad and much as she could and only remember the good times. That's why she talked so fondly of Violetstar to her young adopted siblings, telling them stories of glory and amazement rather than the times of fallen.
This would give Juniper a good excuse too to see if Meadowkit was the one she was waiting for.
"Herbs are really easy to remember. I've made a song to remember most of the ones that grow around our territory."
She nodded slowly and wiggled even closer to get a better look at all the leafy things and little seeds. It was quite a wonder, her eyes growing rather large. “You know everything about so much! You’re the smartest cat I know, Juniper!” She mewed, turning to look at the She-cat and placing a paw on the older cat’s paw. “Sing me the song!” She mewed brightly, tail wiggling with excitement.
Meadowkit didn’t ask about her parents much. She’d never known either, so it was sometimes hard to miss a cat when her clan loved her so much. Or, at least she thought anyhow. Meadowkit did enjoy the stories, they were nice.
