Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Anyone with an apprentice aged cat is welcome to join the par-tay!!)
Dubstep was playing upstairs with neon lights filtering through the plywood. Below was the basement with dozens of red cups tipped over with odd liquids inside. Neon glow lights and loose christmas lights lit up the darkened cement room and everywhere from the large cardboard boxes to the crates to broken appliances were young apprentice aged cats swinging their hips to the music. A few lazed around, others were trying some day old two-leg food that had been spilled down to the basement floor. The party was a massive hit, most thought that a young rogue named Val started it, but in reality he had just spread the word about when to meet up.
Nikkopaw took a long sip out from the red cup and shivered. Ick. This normally wasn't his scene, but he felt this deep inner need to go to a party once in his young life just to say that he did. He had been looking for anyone he knew, but at the same time he was pretty sure he'd die with embarrassment if there was anyone from WinterClan here. Heck, if there were any clan cats here they could call him out at a gathering and his entire clan would know he didn't just ditch training, but ditched WinterClan entirely for a party. He felt a weird tingling feeling down his throat. No, it's fine, whatever happened from this happened, he was not about to have anxieties at his first party ever. He could be whoever he wanted to be here and for once he wasn't going to be the lame guy that worried and cleaned up after everyone.
For once he had groomed his fur, it wasn't scruffy any longer, but sleek and smooth. Blue grey cosmos fur as midnight blue as a sky on a bright moon night basked over his now more confident form. He was incredibly handsome instead of the disheveled self he usually was always hunched over, now he stood up a bit straighter. His robin egg blue eyes scanned the crowd until he spotted a pretty she-cat off to the side. He was going to approach her and if it didn't work out he was going to inhale every herb his mom had that carried a hallucinogenic. With a deep breath he sashayed his way over to the she-cat, "Hey, wild party right?"
Shae wasn't sure how she had ended in a place like this. She couldn't even remember how she had heard about it, some tom that called himself Val? It didn't really matter now did it? She was already here and every minute she spent away from home pulled at her fur. A nagging feeling her constantly reminding her that she definitely shouldn't be here. Her emerald green eyes surveyed the scene around her. It was loud and bright, everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves but, not her. Would they make her go home if she wasn't? Though she didn't want to go home this late and have to face her father. She couldn't stand the thought of her looking at her with anything other than love and pride. What if he was disappointed with her when he found out?
"Then you probably shouldn't be here."
She shook her head trying to rid herself of her thought. Letting out a small sigh she dipped her head to lap at the liquid spilling out of one of the red cups. She physically recoiled from not only the foul taste but, the burning sensation it left in her throat. It was at this moment she heard a voice in her hear and turned to look at the cat speaking to her. The last thing she was expecting was to be approached by a handsome stranger. the strange scents of this place made it hard to place if this cat belonged to a group of he was a loner or a kitty-pet though that didn't really matter at this point either. "Yeah, It's definitely wild." she spoke up to be heard over the music that literally shook the roof above their heads. "Do you like this stuff?" she asked, gesturing to the red cup that lay in front of her with her tail.
A loud crash near the entrance to the basement signalled Yumemi-kepa's arrival. The sage cringed as she bumped into some cardboard boxes near the top of the stairs, sending some falling down to the ground - dangerously near some cats, but thankfully not on top of them. "Oops," she cringed, bounding down the stairs and trying to act like she wasn't involved. I'll just join a conversation and hope no one saw me.
"It's disgusting," she declared, padding up to a tom and a she-cat whose scents she didn't recognise. "But in a good, nostalgic way - like, it reminds me of all the parties I've ben to before, y'know?" Actually, this was the first party she'd ever been to, aside from the one for the small Twoleg child she'd been forced to attend because she was a month-old kittypet, and the kids had all tried to pick her up and almost crushed her spine in the process. It occured to her suddenly that the tom and the she-cat might have been trying to flirt with each other, but the embarrassment of accidentally third-wheeling a young couple in love was soon replaced by the excitement of getting to study the flirting process in person. Actual romance in Absum Lux seemed pretty rare, these days.
"Uhh," Nikkopaw said and knew he should answer with a yeah, "No," He confessed with a shy smile. Maybe he should have lied, but he didn't want the first thing he said to someone he was interested in to be a lie. He looked to the other she-cat that had arrived, "Oh well I guess she has," He laughed nervously, "I'm Nikko," He said wondering if he should say paw or not, but what if most of these cats were young rogues? He didn't want to be the odd one out.
"I'm Sable," came another voice, a black apprentice aged cat walked over to sit by Yumemi-kepa's side, she had white bengal legs and marigold colored eyes, "I came to see what the hype was about, I guess I can't be disappointed. But y'know, I heard there's an even more rad party underground," She smirked.
