Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Skipstep had just stopped feeling satisfied at his words, when he suddenly had Glowstar tackling him. He let out a grunt in surprise.
"Been a bit busy," He replied, not even mad more amused with the DayClan leader's antics. "A lot going on lately." He glanced towards Littlebird unsure if she wanted to say anything before focusing back on Glowstar. "And a spar would not be bad."
What Skipstep had told Echopaw was true, but speaking out against Foxstar in such a manner wouldn't just mean loosing her position. It would mean loosing her life. Treason was not tolerated within SunClan, much less from the priestess promised. She had seen the way traitors were dealt with, it wasn't a fate that she would never choose. Perhaps if her life had been the only one on the line.... perhaps then things would be different.
Littlebird had been ready to walk away from it all. What Strik asked for was more than an apology, it was a forfeit of her own life. Even if the other leader didn't understand the gravity of the situation she had placed her in. She wouldn't plead or grovel at the other leader's feet, she would rather have died fighting against the regime.
Yet just as she had started to walk away, the unexpected happened. Strik changed her mind once more, then tackled her mate. She had to force her fur to lie flat, and it was only Skipstep's calm reaction to being tackled that had kept her from jumping in
"I suppose you'll have your chance next moon" a small chuckled filled the air, and an unspoken acceptance of the apprentice meet ups.

The young apprentice didn't understand, why would their Sun God wish for such anguish amongst their Clan. Would they not wish for there to be peace amongst their people? She could only see the possibility of uniting the youth in each clan as a possibility for just that, a future of peace. She wanted greatly to make her Priestess happy again, the older cat always seeming despaired over the condition of their circumstances.
Upon hearing Littlebird's response, Echopaw's expression completely lit up leading her to rushing forward and rubbing her flank excitedly against Littlebird.
"May the SunGod rejoice," Echopaw spoke seemingly overjoyed, "I cannot wait to tell the other apprentices, I know they be so excited to hear this! Many of us want to see a hopeful peaceful future, I want to do whatever I can to help make that happen. I promise I won't let you down!"
Windchaser had been listening to them talk, nodding a greeting to Echopaw and Skipstep as they arrived. She flinched in surprise as Glowstar tackled Skipstep. She had fierce loyalty to Glowstar but to watch her be so friendly to the cats that tortured them made her skin crawl. She forced her fur to lie flat. This was a moment of peace and re-connection. She was relieved when Littlebird agreed to let the apprentice's spend time together. Although it seemed like things just may get better, what Skipstep had explained to Echopaw made her realize something. These cats weren't as bad as she thought they were. They were just trapped cats following orders from a bad leader. And who was this Sun God, anyway? Why would it want such destruction between two clans that used to be friends?
Her bold green eyes flicked to each of the Sun Clan cats and pity pricked her heart. She felt as if she had misjudged them for the actions they were ordered to act out. Maybe they didn't torture her and her mate because they wanted to. Maybe it was just orders. Her green eyes, that had held such coldness toward the Sunclan cats had finally softened and warmed as the Sunclan cats talked among themselves. At last, she finally spoke, her voice surprisingly bold and confident. "We look forward to seeing you all again." Her eyes rested on Littlebird and a new respect for the she-cat rose within her. She dipped her head, showing respect that she never thought she would show to these cats.
