Pandora had been increasingly alone with her thoughts. The apprentice had started to withdraw, and she was spending more and more time around the Keeper's Mansion, found exiting it every so often without explanation. She was an odd enough cat anyhow, the daughter of both Foxstar and Glowstar, supposedly created by the neighboring clan's deity, the Sun God for the pair of leaders to raise. Not to mention, she was an odd sort in general. She seemed highly attuned to the negativity that surrounded her, and more often than not, she'd started reacting to it with negativity of her own, rather than discomfort or shying away. The green eyed feline was getting angrier, transforming into some sort of cat no one really wanted her to be.
Twilightbell had confirmed her worst fears during the clan's solstice festivities. She'd asked a simple question, and know she knew her future. Truly, the auburn-cinnamon cat knew that would be her fate all along, but now the hope of turning from it was lost. Glowstar and Foxstar wouldn't reconcile. And the cats they loved, the ones she cared about too, would pay for their wrath.
This was a really, really bad idea. It wasn't great for her to be alone - even around the mansion, there was always risk of SunClan venturing onto DayClan land to seek their vengeance - and it was even worse for her to seek out Pandora especially. A creation of the God she betrayed and daughter to the leader that certainly would love for her blood on her claws. But she couldn't help it. Curiosity was in her nature, and she could only suppress the itch for so long. An itch to figure out her trips to the mansion as well as to learn about the odd cat herself. At least she had the sense to keep her distance, but she still had spent far too long out here alone, staking out a place that was dangerous to the average cat. With all the trouble she skirted, it was a miracle she had lived this long.
She had spent her time up among the branches of a tree, close enough so that she could catch any sign of the unusual apprentice and yet still far enough to, hopefully, go unnoticed herself. Then, when she noticed the the younger she-cat approach and disappear, she moved closer. Still a few tree-lengths from the mansion, but she wasn't trying to go unnoticed by Pandora now. It was only as she waited that the absurdity of her plan struck her, nerves nearly sending her fleeing back to the camp. But she held her ground. She wanted to know what was driving her to the mansion, and she was certain she would be fine if Pandora turned on her. At the very least, she felt she should be able to outrun her. Just long enough to return back to the DayClan camp. She tried to put on the air of casual confidence as she waited, the main sign of her rising worries her ever-wandering gaze, the thought that this might be a trap of some sort building up in her mind. But Twistedecho was determined not to back down now. Not after all the effort she had already put in.
