Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Leopardblaze was following his daughter, Pinesong through MoonClan's territory. She'd invited him out for a walk, stating that she hadn't had the chance to spend time with him lately. They ambled along in peaceful silence, neither really having anything to say to the other, it was nice that they could enjoy a comfortable silence.
Pinesong paused when she caught the scent of Grandsky and his father, Devilhorns. She had to admit she was slightly nervous at the thought of her father meeting them, but she quickly realized her nervousness was uncalled for. Leopardblaze was a likable cat, he had many friends within the Clan and she had no reason to believe that there would be any problems between her father and Grandsky or Devilhorns. "Grandsky?" She called out, she could tell they were close but couldn't see them yet, she walked a few more paces in their direction.
Devilhorns hadn’t been very sure when his son, practically bouncing off the walls with a grin a mile wide, had asked him to accompany him out to the woods for a walk. It made the old tom nervous. Whatever was his kit up too? The last time he’d had this grin he’d been a kit and him, Mightyearth, and Littlesea has chased bugs to their nest as friends and prizes for their father. He wasn’t a kit now, so it clearly wasn’t bugs he was bringing him out here to show off. So what was it?
Excitement coursed through him as he continuously checked that his father was following behind him. Soon they’d be at the edge of the forest. It was cool here with shade and a creek nearby, the perfect place to enjoy the evening. Pausing here, Grandsky turned to his father, motioning to have a seat which the older tom did was hestitance. The lunar guard captain could understand his weariness considering he’d told him nothing before coming out here, to excited to get out much more than “let’s go for a walk.”
Hearing his name, his grin only increased much to Devilhorns’ confusion. “Over here!”
Pinesong slipped through the remaining undergrowth and caught sight of Devilhorns and Grandsky. She stopped and glanced over her shoulder, to make sure her father had followed her. Once he was on the other side of the foliage she padded up to the two toms. She dipped her head in a friendly greeting to Devilhorns and Grandsky. "This is my father, Leopardblaze." Pinesong said, motioning towards her father with a flick of her tail. "This is Devilhorns and Grandsky." She said to her father.
Leopardblaze dipped his head respectfully to his two Clanmates. He'd already known their names but he had never had any personal interactions with either of them. "Wonderful evening for a stroll." he announced, unsure of why Pinesong had made it a point to introduce him to Grandsky and Devilhorns.
“It is.” Devilhorns spared a head of before turning his confused gaze into his sons. Clearly, this was arranged, but why? “I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of meeting yet.” The tom was addressing Pinesong and Leopardblaze, trying to keep the conversation going. Maybe this was another instance where Grandsky was trying to get him to make friends. He wouldn’t be rude, so he’d humor his son once more.
Grandsky nearly let out a sigh of relief when his father didn’t out right question why the other two were here. It was obvious that this was a set up and Devilhorns, the aged spy he was, would see it in a heartbeat. But the lunar guard captain wasn’t sure he wanted to start with “so I’m setting you up with a new friend who happens to be the father of the girl I’m falling for.” No that wouldn’t work at all. That would be a nightmare. Admitting his love to his father in front of her father and herself. Nope. Not happening.
(I'm going to be out of town for the next two days so I'll be kinda slow to respond to threads)
"No, I don't believe we have." Leopardblaze responded. He knew the two toms had left NightClan to join MoonClan and truthfully, Leopardblaze wanted to ask a million questions about what life was like in another Clan but he refrained, on the thought that it would be rude. He had automatically assumed that life was not good for them in NightClan if they'd decided to leave their home and make a new one in a different Clan.
Pinesong glanced down at her paws for several moments, unsure of what to say or do, trying to quickly think of something so the situation didn't become awkward. "Have you ever been inside the abandoned two-leg nest?" she asked, looking at Grandsky.
"No, I have not. Have you?" Well, this was awkward. Grandsky should have really been thinking of some things they could talk about on his way out here. Especially since both parties were to nice to ask personal questions. The tom shuffled his paws, "though I don't think I'd want to know either. I like the life we have now." From the corner of his eye, he could see his father nodding his own agreement. The two had worked hard to find a new life, one that wouldn't judge them too harshly for their pasts; so they weren't going to give that up even to cure some curiosity about another place.
Leopardblaze thought for a few more seconds before finally deciding to speak to them about NightClan. "It must have been hard to leave NightClan and make a life in a new Clan. But MoonClan gained two good warriors. I can't imagine having to leave my home."
Pinesong tilted her head to the side slightly. She was always up for adventure, and since the nest was abandoned she thought no harm in exploring it, but the thought quickly left her mind when she heard Leopardblaze speak about NightClan. She cringed slightly and shot Grandsky an apologetic look. She was hoping that he wouldn't bring up their NightClan past, not that it mattered anyway, they were both well established MoonClan warriors now. Pinesong tried to casually drift the conversation back to the abandoned two leg nest. "It's abandoned, I don't see the harm in exploring it. There aren't any two leg's there anymore..."
