(sorry, not sorry cleaver is an enabler)
"Ah, Dayclan. This field is truly a medicine cat's dream." Most of the so called Speckled Field has strings of yellow in it compared to the spring's green. With how early in the season it was, Funk knew he could still harvest some chamomile from the field. White flowers hung from his mouth, the scent still managing to make his nose tingle despite how familiar he was with it. They can't cry over a few missing flowers, not that he expected anyone to notice. He put the bouquet down, a small respite as he took a few strands of goldenrod to add to his collection.
When Funk bent down to collect another strand of goldenrod he was able to see a she-cat lying among the curtains of flowers. Her emerald gaze was gentle as a feather staring back at him. Slowly the she-cat stood up letting out a yawn as she leisurely stretched. She was concretely, undeniably gorgeous, with sunkissed fur and large emerald green eyes that lit up when she smiled at him, "An intruder? Well this must be my lucky day."
She stood up fully, tall with an hour glass figure. She seemed absolutely entranced in his presence, one of those once in a life time looks you get once or twice in a life time that sent a silent promise to anyone she encountered that there was no one in the world she wanted to be see, but the person before her.
"To what do I have the delight of meeting someone new and interesting like yourself?"

He still took his goldenrod, placing it gently in his bouquet but not taking his eyes off of the she-cat. Not moving away, but not moving toward, he watched her every move. An entrancement? Or an entrapment? But he couldn't help but return the smile, but one hidden with odd intent. She was just as lovely as he'd heard, but it was more than that.
To some, she may have been an angel? To others, a demon? To Funkbeat? An enigma he only heard about. A legendary encounter with one who only looked at him and almost seemed to act like it was nothing. How fascinating. Perhaps he'd consider watching his steps for once.
"Compared to me, you are truly the fascinating one." his tail flicked behind him, but he didn't move, "What can I say, your territory is just as beautiful as you. Who could not be drawn to it?"
"What can I say, your territory is just as beautiful as you. Who could not be drawn to it?"
Her gaze fluttered with excitement, "That's what I always say too! I walked these lands as an outsider many times, both times the DayClan cats were kind enough to guide me through the golden wheat fields and the gardens of wild flowers so I could say I walked through heaven and back. After all, how could a leader of such beautiful lands ever feel they own something so serene and divine as this? It simply must be shared to all," Her words were warm like soft sunbeams and when she seemed to meet his gaze again she gave an almost surprised look, "Oh and I'm Glowstar, but I must warn you I go by quite a few names so you may have heard of me before," she winked.

Funk was a little taken aback at how genuine her praise for the land sounded. Even the simple tale she wove painted a beautiful picture in his mind. She was right, of course, Dayclan had a little of everything and it all came together in a beautiful harmony. He felt he should feel bad for taking the flowers from the field. But who wouldn't take a slice of heaven if they could? Glancing at them quickly, he knew he would replant them rather than mix them with the rest of his stuff.
Glowstar. The Glowstar. It was her. The enigma had a face, the shadows were stripped away by light. He'd heard a good amount, but knew there was more. That he hadn't heard, that maybe he couldn't imagine. Not yet, not now at least. His stomach filled with butterflies; he wasn't lovesick, more knowledge-sick.
"It's an honor, Glowstar. I only know so much, but I'm sure the past is an exhausting subject." The past had it's interests, but Funkbeat was far more interested in hearing about the present cat in front of him, "The name is Funkbeat. You may have also of heard of me before, but I'll at least tell you my only other name was Cardinalflight." He winked back, attempting to step up to the high bar she had placed.
"Cardinalflight, sounds an about right warrior name. Personally I'd like Cardinalsin, but I have a feeling flight fits your personality far more. My warrior name was Glowromance and before that Breakingdawn."
After a pause she gently rolled some of Cardinalflight's collection of flowers looking them over, "Hey, how about I bundle these up for you and give you a nice additional herb. It's a DayClan secret, but you look like you can keep a secret right?"

He tilted his head. Cardinalsin. He liked that a lot, though she was right. Named after sin, the faults of cats, he couldn't wrap his mind around it. Most would sink to the very bottoms of hell, but he was meant to soar. His moment of pride was snagged by a nagging feeling in his stomach. He guessed his name wasn't quite known to the clans. He mostly treated loners and rogues anyway, but he wanted to fix that. Then again, it would make opportunities like this harder to come by.
But this seemed too simple. There had to be more to it. Did she want something? Funkbeat knew of a Glowstar who only had her own interests in mind and would push for them as hard as she could. A familiar modus operandi to his own. As such, he charged ahead.
"Of course, the only ones who could whisper of our meeting is you, I and the wind in the grass."
