(sorry, not sorry cleaver is an enabler)
A quiet night, with the wind not even irritated enough to let out a huff, was met by an intruder making their way through the forest. The moon shining off his brown mottled pelt, not a thought crossed Funk's mind. Normally, his mind was buzzing constantly; thinking of new schemes, critiques of everything around him, or ways to make new medicine. But now he felt an odd calm, he figured it must be the clan's influence. Suddenly, he tripped over something, stumbling over his paws. He turned and glowered, only to discover a foxglove plant. His rage gone, he began ripping a few leaves out of the plant.
Emberburn had been tracking this intruder for several minutes now, waiting to see what he was going to do and sizing him up. Emberburn was alone tonight and even though he wasn't afraid to fight, he wasn't stupid enough to leap right into battle either. He'd always been impulsive and it was something he was trying to work on. So while the tom was distracted Emberburn lunged. He slammed into the intruder and landed several blows to his face with unsheathed claws, before dropping back into a defensive position. "Who are you and why are you on MoonClan's territory?" he demanded in an angry snarl.

Funk was a lover, not a fighter, but even he picked up a few things from the local rogues. He kicked with his back legs up at his attacker, barely whiffing through air as they backed up. He at least used the momentum to swing himself to his feet. Looking down, he was almost baffled at the taste of blood in his mouth. He was too familiar, but the taste still managed to surprise him.
"Intruding. Duh." He sighed, annoyed like he had to explain that the sky was blue, "Foraging if you really must know, not that you seem like much of a listener." He added, sitting and scratching behind his ear, acting like he didn't just get ambushed.
Emberburn remained on high alert, poised to strike at any moment, this intruder's seemingly relaxed demeanor at the moment puzzled him. "You can't be here. This is MoonClan's territory. You'll need to leave. Now." Emberburn growled. He was hoping Funk would leave with a warning, Emberburn didn't want to have to hurt him.

"You seem a bit high strung. I'm an ex medicine cat, I can make you a mix that'll clear out all that stress." Finally swallowing the taste, Funk swept his few leaves into a pile on top of another, "No stress, no anger, no pain. Wouldn't you like to be like that?" He asked, still getting his stuff to leave. There was no point in fighting, but maybe the tom would say something other than the two bit lines he was fed by the clan.

"Hah, an attitude like that will lead to a safe yet unfulfilling life. Shame." No luck. Darn. He made a poor knot with the leaf as he continued,
"I'm no auditor of life and death. No one in... Thunderclan? Shadowclan? Whatever clan I was in, died at my paws." It was a legit stumble, Funk had forgotten the clan. He never made an effort to remember, and he knew this one wouldn't believe him. It didn't matter, he didn't care. He picked up the leaf, looking expectantly at the other as he honestly had no idea how to get back to the border.
Emberburn stared at this rogue with exasperation and slightly dumbfounded. He'd never even heard of those Clan's that this tom was rambling on about. "Emberburn...." he answered slowly. "What do they call you?" he asked.
Emberburn narrowed his eyes at the tom. He still doubted his story and didn't trust him. "You're still an ex medicine cat, which means you still don't belong on MoonClan territory..."
