(sorry, not sorry cleaver is an enabler)
If Funk ever needed lillies, he would normally pluck the ones the twolegs grew. They always got mad and chased him off, but he would leave with his precious poison in tact. Today, however, he found one in Earthclan's territory while looking for something to eat. He always found different things in the nutritious earth the clan was named after, but rarely did he find things like that. No one else could handle this task, and thinking himself a hero a little, he began to uproot the flower.
“What are you doing?” Starkpaw, asked. The medicine-cat apprentice had been out collecting herbs of his own when he had come across this interloper. The young apprentice didn’t match the cat in size but, he started his apprenticeship as a warrior before he switched over his training and wouldn’t hesitate to fight this stranger if he needed to.

"Ah, an Earthclan member." Funk let go of the root. The plant was about halfway out, but he disregarded it for a moment to look at the newcomer. Smaller. Apprentice. Maybe they even knew something about herbs? His eyes were drawn to the apprentice's rigid stance and flicked his tail up.
"I have no qualm with you, young one. Just alleviating you of this troublesome plant." He turned back, not overly concerned with how they would take that, "You should thank me, you know." He added, no hint of malice in his voice as he bit down on the roots again.
The broken tabby made a face at this strange cat, squinting at him in both curiosity and confusion. “So why exactly are you ‘alleviating’ us of this lily, and why should I thank you for it? Why do you want it?” It was a lot of questions to ask at once but, Starkpaw knew better than to immediately trust the word of some cat he didn’t know.

fine fine
"No one teach you lillies are poisonous? Even old dead clans teach that. First thing I was taught. Just as bad as deathberries, but they look a lot nicer." He rattled off various facts while continuing his harvest,
"Most everyone knows how to avoid deathberries, but it's easy for one of these to take a bunch of brainless cats out. Leaves. Petals. Pollen. The whole thing is useless for those like you." Giving it one final tug, the roots finally gave way and the whole thing now laid in front of the intruding loner. While not worried about the ramifications of even taking this, he spat the taste out of his mouth.
"To me, they have their uses." There was definitely some wickedness to that statement, he had no way to hide his excitement for it, "But now, you'll never fall for one of these, no? Assuming you retained any of that wisdom."
"So, if I got this right, you came all this way for lilies, which as you've said are poisonous. Why go through all that trouble?" The apprentice tilted his head ever so slightly, really not sure to make of this tom. the wickedness in his statement sent a chill up his spine and Starkpaw some how managed to keep his fur from standing up and remained looking utterly unfazed by his words. His eyes flicked to the plant at the loner's feet then back to meet his gaze.
"You don't seem too worried about being poisoned by them though" He observed. He didn't want to admit it but something about the loner had caught his interest. He seemed to know a lot about herbs, more than what Firetooth had taught him thus far.
"How do you know so much about herbs, are you some kind of medicine-cat?" He knew every medicine-cat and apprentice in all the clans and groups, and he knew this cat wasn't one but, that didn't mean he didn't know his stuff.

Funk was somewhat surprised the apprentice stuck around. He still seemed the slightest bit tense, but he held his ground and Funkbeat respected that. The award he could give was answering his questions, at the least.
"No. I came to Earthclan 'cause I like Earthclan. It'd be a clan I'd join if I didn't hate most everyone." His tone was sharp, but was soaked in honesty. He knew clan life wasn't for him, not anymore,
"If you want lillies, you should just steal them from twolegs. Believe me or not, I'm taking this one so no one else has to deal with the side effects." Was it a backwards way of saying he didn't want others to die by the flower's poison? Yes. Death by something like that is pitiful, only suitable for the worms of the ground. Taking it and using it to kill in a more... refined way was more of his taste.
"It's been a long time, but yes, I was. Exiled now. Surprising, I know. I cured my clan of everything, all their troubles. And my only reward is to be reviled." It was truly a shame, how the clan kicked out the best thing they had. Even thinking about them now made him dig his claws into the earth a little.
