Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Burningstar was doing a quick patrol along the rogue border. She'd woken up early and the sun was just beginning to set. She'd decided she'd have a quick walk and check the nearest border. As she walked she cam to a stop in a familiar clearing. It had shifted with the earthquake, and the bloodstains had long since been washed away by the weather. But she remembered this place. The place where the mother of her adoptive children, Tuskblood, Fiercepaw, Ironjaw, Bloodtusk and Berserkpaw had been slain by a fox. Burning's life had changed forever, as she'd finally been able to experience motherhood herself.
She sat down near the spot looking around and spying the shiny black rock she'd set down to serve as a marker just outside the border for where she and Lindon had buried the she cat. She looked at it for a moment before looking up towards the mountain. She wondered how her adoptive children in SummerClan were doing. she imagined Tuskblood was still processing being suddenly adopted into the NightClan leader's family and it made Burningstar's whiskers twitch with bemusement.
Though some might think she was too open with her family, Burningstar didn't care. When she'd been young and all alone in the world, she'd have given anything to have a family. Any family. Now that she was older, and had the power to do so, and a growing family. She was happy to welcome any and all into it. She was sure eventually there'd be hardships to face from it, but as far as she cared it was far better to have them all, then to have none.

"Uh, mother?"
Tuskblood's gruff voice sounded from near the border. She was still getting used to being adopted by the Nightclan leader. Many would find it strange, but she honestly didn't mind it. Her own parents had been killed by another stronghold's vicious attack. At least, one of them was killed. A part of her longed to be a part of a family again. It seemed like those wishes were oddly coming true. She had learned that she had half-siblings in Nightclan and one of them came to live with her. Just recently her brother, now named Steelstag, had come to join.
Her olive eyes met Burningstar's and her whiskers twitched in amusement. Being adopted by the sweet she-cat wasn't so bad. In fact, she felt honored to be accepted by such a cat.
Burningstar's ears pricked and she turned in the direction of the gruff mew, her eyes lighting up and she trotted over to Tuskblood, immediately moving to nudge her daughter's shoulder. Tuskblood was a good bit taller than the ginger she cat. But the gesture of motherly affection clear.
"Hello, Tuskblood." She greeted pulling back looking her up and down. "How are you? What brings you here?" She sat down trying to gauge what might've brought on the sudden visit. It hadn't been long since she'd adopted the she cat into the family, and she hadn't expected a visit so soon. She couldn't see any signs of injury, which meant there wasn't an immediate threat to her daughter's safety, a small relief, but still curious.

Truthfully, she wasn't sure what the root cause of her visit was. The uncomfortable feeling that pricked in her belly had led her paws to the border. For one of the first times in her life, she needed someone to talk to. Is this what it felt like to have a mother around now? Would her own mother have been there to listen if she was still alive? Thoughts that were emotionally driven like that were foreign to the stalwart she-cat. She had often pushed the emotional side of herself away.
"Honestly, I'm not sure." She huffed, sitting down next to Burningstar. "I think I'm turning into a mouse."
Burningstar cocked her head to the side her whiskers twitching. "You don't seem to be shrinking, or changing from what I can tell. You're still the mighty daughter I know," She noted with a gentle purr. Though her expression grew serious. "But is there something that is making you feel wary? There is nothing wrong with finding something to be dangerous, or worthy of your concern, that's not a sign of cowardice I assure you."
