( Internal Affairs District - The Attic )
Usually, Senescence would meet cats in the Burning Tower. But to be quite honest, she was bored of sitting up there all day, waiting for this news or that. So, instead, the large feline waited in on of the attic rooms, this particular one only accessible via the roof. It was a sprawling place, lined with old chairs and dresses on mannequins that seemed to loom out of the shadows menacingly, sheets draped over this and that, paintings hastily thrown to the side, one twoleg child or pretty lady melding into the next, the paint itself faded and peeling with age.
Celestia would be here soon. It was never wise to challenge the cat who held your life in their paws. And since Marchosais had separated the group into districts, the Proxy was essentially a leader, albeit only over a small section of the group itself. Of course, Senescence wasn't particularly worried. She had no reason to be, and if the feline did decide to try and kill her here, it wouldn't be the first time she fought a League cat.
She both did and didn't know much about the feline she'd called to meet her. Celestia had four littermates, three of which were female, one male. Separated by different districts, with only the one being part of her own. Simple enough. She really couldn't claim to have spoken to any of them to know more. That would come soon enough as the district sought them out and reported back. For now, she was getting to known the one most relevant to her. How she functioned, where her skills laid, perhaps how loyal she was to her family if it happened to come up. How much Celestia thought she knew about the Proxy who bossed her around. That would be the interesting one.
Celestia was considered the most level headed out of all her siblings. She was no one to randomly kill or be thrown into fits of anger. She was more of the silent type who just kind of hung back in the shadows, waiting to be spoken to. This caused her to be labeled as "boring" but her sisters and especially her brother, although the fact that her special "abilities" were not as "cool" nor as "special" as her siblings also aided in the name calling.
Spineeater was a former cannibal who specialized in internal medicine and food poisoning, built like a tank with the movement of an assassin he could easily overpower even the strongest of foes. He and Parasite had an unusually obsessive relationship which only brought raised eyebrows and annoyed huffs from her siblings
Parasite was beautiful and strange. Luring men to their deaths with her good looks and fake "damsel in distress" eyes. Her methods of killing involved parasites of any kind. Bacteria, fungus, insects, reptiles, fish. If they were classified as a parasite then her sister probably had some poor in love sap strapped down somewhere with her new "pet" eating them from the inside out.
Mother was the sweetest of the siblings and the one closest to Celestia, but her sweetness towards others usually turned into the perfect horror movie plot rather quickly. Going from helping them hunt to drugging them and tying them up in her secluded den to be treated as living dolls. Parasite might be a master manipulator at men but Mother was the ultimate manipulator of all, especially mothers and kits. Her awe inspiriting mind games could encourage anyone to do her bidding, including suicide, mass murder, and self-mutilation
Next was Cerberus. A goofy tomboy who always wore her furs to long and who's long sharp teeth would give even her siblings a double take at times. Cerberus was the ultimate tank, charge head first into everything and ask questions later. Her constant drooling caused mud pools all over the group's territory making her less than ideal to be used as a sneaky assassin. Cerberus' ability was Celestia's favorite though. She had a special gift with wild beasts to win their trust and turn them against any of her choosing. Cerberus' personal favorite was wild dogs and badgers. Big mean toothy things, just like her.
Last was "boring" Celestia, who just had the ability of unmatchable hearing and sight. She could see into the deepest darkest of nights, spot a mouse from miles away, and hear even a butterfly's wings flutter. She was an impossible cat to sneak up on, literally, but even more impossible to spot. Her flexibility was unnerving, allowing her to twist and turn in even the most grotesque positions to get any job done. She was the quickest killer out of her family, her training came first and it showed. She was usually used for spying or assassinations, her kills were clean and no evidence was ever left behind, giving her the nickname "silent night".
No sound warned Senescence that Celestia was there. Not the creak of a board or overshadowing of the small patch of moonlight leaking in through the open cracks of the attic roof. Just one-second Senescence was alone and the next Celestia was directly infront of the she-cat, deep blue eyes with flecks of white - like constellations in the sky - staring unwaveringly at the proxy's face.
"Senescence," Celestia meowed huskily, dipping her head softly yet never breaking eye contact, "the birds told me you called for me." the hunter continued, knowing full well she didn't need to explain her presence, but the words filled the silence that her sudden appearance brought.
