Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Skipstep winced, his scratches he'd received during the fight with the regime still stinging. But he supposed the pain was worsened by his shame and his concern.
Foxstar had been taken prisoner. And it made the janus frustrated as he'd seen the fight, but he'd been unable to get close enough to help, kept at bay by a large brute of a tom before sunClan had ultimately been forced to retreat.
He was ashamed of his inability to aid his leader, and he was concerned for Littlebird, who now was stuck in the precarious position to lead. What would the regime do with Foxstar? Ransom her? Kill her? What could SunClan do in turn? An assault was out, they'd tried that and it had gone abysmally.
Bruiseapple had always been absent-minded - forgetting what she was saying in the middle of a sentence here, forgetting why she walked out of the camp for there - but ever since the fight, Bruiseapple and her absent-mindedness seemed to have gotten worse. Now, the she-cat stood in the middle of the camp, cobwebs between her jaws as her large pools of honey stared off into a world of nothing. Her body was ridged, frozen in the middle of a step. During the fight, the warrior had faced a nasty head slam, one that made her taste her teeth in the back of her throat and throw stars behind her eyes. One might say she had a concussion, others might blame the stress that Bruisedapple brought upon herself as she desperately tried to help keep the shattered clan together.
Bruisedapple's eyelashes fluttered with her rapid blinking as she came to at the sound of Skipstep's voice. "Oh, skipstep," she murmured softly, "yes...I....yes, I'm delivering cobwebs...to...the medicine cat....for the injured." the warrior explained, the trembling in her voice growing with each word. "The injured from the....the....the fight." she choked out, her eyes welling with tears. "Oh, skipstep, the fight." she whispered. "What have we done."
When she said medicine cat, Skipstep knew poor Bruisedapple must've been hurt worse than they'd realized, He immediately went over to her, "I think you need to see the priestess promised, you know Littlebird has medical training," He said gently not wanting to alarm her by reminding her they hadn't had a medicine cat in a while, and that the leaders or the priestesses were now the healers. Sure the soothsayer could probably do some healing as could he as one of the janus responsible for cultivating herb crops. He felt Bruisedapple needed careful care. So he began to immediately look around for any sign of Littlebird, Dragonswrath or even Mountainsound, the blind senator with her experience of healing would also be appreciated. When he couldn't see any of them immediately he shifted to stand by Bruisedapple's side.
"And... we did as we had to, following the high priestess's orders." Skipstep said gently resting his tail on her shoulder. "Unfortunately I fear we just attacked too soon, or someone betrayed us. But we'll figure everything out, Littlebird will make sure everyone gets the help they need and she's got Dragonswrath and me and the other Janus to help make sure everyone is okay."
