Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Littlebird found Mistyveil asleep by SunClan's border, it was uncertain how long she'd been there waiting and how many times she had to be chased away or hide from patrols while waiting for her to approach. She did look tuckered out as she didn't even raise her head when she heard Littlebird approaching. However she did mutter out, "Littlebird?" In a hopeful tone that it wasn't a random SunClan cat. It was far too easy to recognize Misty from her half blue grey and half peachy colored fur, no other cat around seemed to have it. She stirred for a moment as if considering lifting her head up to check if it was her friend before deciding she'd rather rest her eyes. After all, how much sun really did get to WinterClan? This was probably one of the few times she could enjoy sunbathing.
She couldn't help but be surprised by Mistyveil's appearance at their boarder, but she couldn't say that she wasn't glad to see her either. She walked forward taking in the sight, with a slight shake of her head "Now what mess have you gotten yourself tangled up in this time?" she chuckled light-heartly, taking a seat near by. Mistyveil looked exhausted, as if she had just undertaken a long journey.
She hadn't seen Mistyveil in a while, her own duties taking up a lot of her attention. With Foxstar captured, she had a lot more on her plate. She didn't have time to wander as she did before, but some of her warriors had informed her that they had sccented a WinterClan cat near their boarders, so she had assumed that it was Mistyveil coming to trade herbs.
"More like your mess. StarClan's been bugging me about visions of DayClan, but it concerns SunClan too. I could see the border between SunClan and DayClan being eaten up by a wall of fire, neither leader anywhere to be found. This fire was black and deprived of light. The black fire consumed a cat, but the cat did not die, its eyes turned black like night and began harming their own clan mates. I worry that this is not symbolic. In WinterClan cats have been possessed by certain darkness before, what if there is a darkness that will harm you and DayClan?" Mistyveil's eyes were wider than they'd ever been which... Basically meant they were opened as widely as any other cats eyes considering her own typically stayed in a narrowed position.
This wasn't the first time that she had heard of darkness possessing someone, but she had not yet experienced it herself. She wasn't quick to dismiss Mistyveil, even though her claim was hard to believe. She stayed calm, taking a deep breathe for the both of them.
"Do you know who this cat was?" though she doubted that she did. She remembered that StarClan never gave cut and dry answers, leading to frustration more often than not. "Can you tell me more about your experience with this darkness?"
"I saw the face of the cat and although I can't tell you fur colors because the cat went away so fast I can tell you one unique feature. This cat had two eyes in one socket. She looked so young, I don't know if she was in DayClan or SunClan, but if you see a cat with two pupils in one eyeball then you'll know," Mistyveil said, her expression was so deep and powerful it could send chills down any cats spine, "I experienced the white cats possessing many clan mates and destroying one another. I can also see them and recognize when someone is possessed. And more..."
She hadn't told her friend her secret ability as a witch was to feel another cats emotions, she didn't want Littlebird to think she was being invasive. In fact, she hadn't even told her own apprentice, Cinnamonpaw when she should. For all she knew he had gained this ability and was keeping it to himself... Although she doubted this, the little furball couldn't seem to lie for anything, poor kid. Still it felt a bit dishonest to not disclose this when Littlebird was her best friend.
"More like, I can feel other cats emotions," Mistyveil said, her eyes escaping the gaze of Littlebird's briefly, "I control when I use it though. I think it's because of my calm nature, but I doubt future witches will be able to. I can feel when someone's lying, when they feel guilty, sad. You only have my word, but as tempting as it is, I've never felt your emotions."
She probably should have sent mistyveil back to winterclan. The words she was speaking were utter nonsense, but she believed it. Perhaps it was all just in the she-cat's mind, but there was no doubt in Littlebird's mind that Mistyveil meant what she was saying.
"and this.... ability... is what allows you to detect those that have been possessed? " if it was true, she would need Mistyveil in the coming conflict if this vision was to be believed. She would have to speak with the sun god and get his guidence. Perhaps he would have more information about what was to come.
"No, but it certainly helps. I've been alchemist and now I'm a witch, the gods and starclan have passed me many gifts. But you're my best friend so although it was probably given to aid WinterClan, I want to help you. But I also already told DayClan this information because they give me herbs so I'm sorry if I shouldn't have," Mistyveil said.
Littlebird couldn't help but chuckle "It is your vision Mistyveil, it is yours to share as you see fit and I appreciate you coming all this way to share it with me" Mistyveil looked like a guilty kit admitting that they had done something wrong, a look she often got from Lionpaw any time he did something he thought was wrong. He would run to her and admit everything even if she had no idea that something had happened.
"Perhaps between the three clan, we can figure out what it is that this vision means"
"Oh, okay. Or how about just between DayClan who already knows and your clan. I never told me clan because I don't like them and it doesn't concern them. Actually I like a good amount of cats in WinterClan, but the ones that get on my nerves seem to outweigh any kindness my other clanmates contain. Although in fairness, I find my own children to be very annoying so I think I just don't like people. Don't worry, you're my number one favorite person. But you are my number three favorite activity. Anyways your clan seems very obedient and tame and I feel can handle this better than WinterClan," Mistyveil said thoughtfully, apparently very determined to keep her clan out of it, even if Diamondstar was more responsible than past leaders.
"I guess that's all the important information I have to share," Mistyveil supposed.
She nodded slowly, though it seemed odd that she would recieve a warning about something happening in other clans. At least if WinterClan was going to stay out of it, it would mean less for her to worry about "You are much nicer than you pretend to be" she chuckled. A lot of cats thought that she was cold and distant, but recently Mistyveil seemed anything but, at least when Littlebird was involved.
"I appreciate your warning, and hopeful our troubles will not extend farther than our boarders"
"Would you like to do a friend activity?" Mistyveil asked, "Y'know, we usually come here exchanging herbs and political talk, but maybe we could gossip about toms. Although we both have mates, we could gossip about our husbands and our kits. Y'know, the deep stuff like family life and of course, our favorite colors. I promise, I won't tell anyone what your favorite color is. I can go first, my favorite color is cerulean and if your favorite color isn't cerulean, you're wrong, cerulean blue is beautiful, but you're my best friend and I will forgive you if you do not feel the same."
