Ophelia waited impatiently on the bottom floor of the main house. Her ear twitched in annoyance as she let out a sigh.
"Where is he." She mumbled under her breathe. Seros was supposed to meet her over an hour ago to go check out the rest of the new territory. They had barely scraped the surface of the new territory since joining and she was determined to learn the ins and outs of the new land.
As it so happened, Ophelia would not be meeting Seros. Not at this moment, at least. Rather, Senescence seemed to be the first to appear, though it was less of an arrival, and more of a realization that she had gotten there... at some point that the other feline was only just realizing. "Not here, whoever it is." Of course, that was the obvious, even the half-blind Proxy knew as much. But she was here, unlike whoever the huntress was waiting for.

Ophelia jumped ever so slightly at the sudden arrival of Senescence.
Curse this ear.
She thought bitterly to herself as she let out a hiss of annoyance. If Senescence had been deployed to assassinate her she would be dead right now. Then again this was Senescence they were talking about. She probably would have been dead whether she heard her or not.
“Don’t sneak up on my bad side!” She hissed, but then she quickly realized who she was talking to and cleared her throat. “A-Anyway, I was waiting for my fox-brain of a brother. We were going to explore the rest of the new territory but I’m going to assume his lazy ass is still sleeping.”

"If you can't make up for your deafness, maybe the League isn't the place for you." The scarred feline commented blandly. It wasn't necessarily meant to be an insult, just a statement of fact. Senescence seemed to manage just fine being blind in her left eye, Ophelia should be able to deal with only one ear.
"Where were you planning on exploring?" The Proxy's own district was the one focused on the League, its inner workings and hidden places. Though the territory was new, if anyone knew its secrets, it was she.

Ophelia felt her cheeks blush ever so slightly and her face morphed into one of filled with offense. "I-I can make up for my deafness just fine! I'm related to a long line of Shamans after all!" She hissed out. She cleared her throat a bit to regain her composure but still lashed her tail in annoyance towards the Proxy's comments.
"A-Anyway, I think the dimwit wanted to go check the rest of the house. He's interested in the rumors of the Main house being haunted, although I haven't personally felt any spirits lurking about." She explained.

"Relations to a Shaman usually speaks more to your knowledge of plants than fighting ability. I do wonder how long you'd last against Innocentia. She was a Shaman's daughter too, you know." Most cats knew of the pretty white feline, boasting a bright pink bow, and a childish demeanor. The small former Proxy was also a well known cannibal, with skills to rival the heavily scarred feline she hung out with. It was sort of a stroke of irony that such opposites seemed to get on so well, but regardless, they had a tendency to seek each other out when trouble was on the horizon. Senescence, of course, would deny any claims of friendship if asked, Innocentia was merely one of the more tolerable felines she'd met, and also one of the few who could actually keep up with her, most days.
"If it's spirits he's looking for, he won't find any. For being part of the League, so many here seem to balk at any little noise they hear. I wouldn't be surprised if Marchosais is simply spreading such rumors for his own amusement."

Her cheeks puffed out in annoyance and her cheeks blushed an even brighter shade of red. "I-I knew that! Everyone knows about Innocentia! I'm in the punishment district so I can only be but so weak!" Ophelia said. This conversation wasn't getting anywhere, and they were both probably aware of it. She cleared her throat, as if attempting to steer the conversation away from her obvious faults. "Anyway, I tried to explain that to him but he just wouldn't listen. Insisted the evidence was too great to be untrue." She said with a roll of her eyes. "What do you think? Have you heard or seen anything out of the ordinary?"
No, the Proxy commenting about Ophelia's failures really wasn't doing much of anything. She'd be dead soon enough if she wasn't League material anyway, by accident or the paw of her district's reigning Proxy. Most didn't make it far, either fleeing or dying. The cat before her was no exception. Senescence shrugged at the huntress question. "Nothing that can't easily be explained by the age of these buildings or cats wandering just out of sight." She didn't believe in ghosts personally. For that matter, she didn't really believe in much of anything to do with what came after one's own death. Though she'd grown up with stories of StarClan and the Dark Forest from her mother, she'd realized soon enough it was all fake. A way to make one feel better or scare kits into compliance. These ideas of spirits were similarly absurd, and it was rather clear she didn't believe in them one bit.

"Thank you! I tried to explain this to Seros, but he never does listen." Ophelia said with a roll of her eyes. She could tell that the proxy was low key judging her, but she was thankful for the fact that Senescence wasn't pushing the issue and continuing to compare her to the lunatic that was Innocentia. "Anyway, where is your favorite place on campus? Maybe you can start off by showing me that?"
"Why would I show you my favorite place? That would rather defeat the point of it's secrecy, wouldn't you say?" Senescence stated. She liked her places because only she had access to them. "No matter. I'm sure I can find something you'll like." With that, she turned, her tail twitching a silent order to follow as she headed for the estate. Her district's floor was the fourth, with access to the attic, roof, and the towers that dotted the massive manor. Other than some exploration before things were settled, few if any outside the Internal Affairs district had been up there. Not to mention that her district hardly seemed to want to interact with others, except where it was convenient to use them.

She blushed slightly and turned her head away. "W-Well! Sometimes sharing your secret places with others is a good thing!" She didn't give much of a reason as to why. Not looking back at Senescence until the proxy turned tail and twitched for her to follow. The blush ebbed away from her white cheeks as she followed after the she-cat. Her eyes sparking with curiosity as to where she was being guided. "Where are we going?" she finally asked after several minutes of silence.

"That's debatable, and to be blunt, you are not the first cat by far that I would share such places with." That wasn't exactly intended to be a dig at the huntress, and more so an indicator of just how far they were from anything resembling 'friends'. They were barely even acquaintances. Her own district would be far more privy to information than Ophelia would be, to say the least. "We're headed for the roof." She answered, shrugging. Didn't sound like much, but it had perhaps the best view of the territory, outside the towers and her own den.

"The roof?" She wanted to argue and insist they go someplace more exciting, but then the she-cat realized she had never been to the roof. Not because she couldn't go to the roof before this point, but rather she had no reason to go up there. After all, the top floor including the roof was Senescence's district and Punishment district cats didn't have many reasons to go up there unless asked to. "I've never been up there." She commented.
