TRIGGER WARNING: this cat isn't rainbows and unicorns. If you don't like reading death and torture then this thread isn't for you.
He was old, that much was certain. His voice raspy and muzzle painted gray. If he was only a few moons younger, he'd probably have made it through a fight with her quite easily, but she knew how to pick her victims. She was small, but agile. No old fool would be able to keep up with someone filled with youth, especially not someone with the training she grew up undergoing.
"Please! Please don't do this!"
The pleading voice sent a shiver up her spine, but not just any normal shiver. No, she wasn't scared of the gruesome sight displayed before her. Not by his twisted limbs or the still bleeding wounds littering his body. This was a shiver of anticipation and pleasure. One that only the twisted of individuals could react with. She unsheathes a claw and the tip slowly inches towards the old tom's eye. A tear wells up and slides down his cheek as she lifts up the tip of the claw and hovers it ever so slightly over his retina.
"I have a family! Grandkits!"
His cries of anguish causes a smile of delight to curl upon her face as she presses the tip into his eye. The eye pops like a grape and scarlet splatters across her face as a blood curdling scream escapes his muzzle. "Now we're the same!" She says ever so sweetly with an innocent smile flashing on her face. They were clearly not the same. His eye was almost completely gone and obviously destroyed, while hers was only scarred and still retained enough sight to easily fight.
The screaming stops and the tom pants heavily. His uninjured eye filled with fear as it slowly dims and the panting stops. Her face shifts into a frown as she takes a paw and nudges him harshly. "Hey! Helloooo!" She yells angrily. After a few seconds the prodding stops and she lets out an annoyed hiss. "This always happens with the elderly! They always die from the shock! It's so annoying!" She seizes her complaints and rolls her eye, licking a few of the lucky wounds the old tom had landed on her as her golden gaze looks around at her surroundings.
Never been here before. Has a weird scent, but all the rogues chill out here according to intel. She thought to herself.

It had been a couple of sunrises since Riverstar overthrew Violeteyes and took his new name. Waterclan finally knew who their true god and ruler was. He did not venture out of the clan often. Some were still wary but hadn’t outright opposed him yet. He didn’t want to take any risks. However, he left Wyverndilirium in charge and a few rogues to watch over him to make sure he didn’t try anything risky. Riverstar chuckled at the thought. They were clay in his paws.
He scented the air, eats pricking in surprise when he caught the scent of blood. Curiosity eating away at his paws, he made his way towards the tantalizing smell. When he saw the young cat hovering over a pleading gray tom, he immediately became interested. Who was she? A smile spread across his muzzle, wicked and cruel, as he watched her performance. “Well done. Now, who are you and how are you going to clean this mess off my territory?” He spoke smoothly. His voice was thick like honey and brown eyes gleaming.
She paused in her wound licking and stood frozen for a few seconds. Her pelt on end as she unsheathed her claws and allowed her eyes to grow wide. "H-He attacked me! I only defended myself!" Her posture and expression had changed just like that, almost as if she had not tortured the tom mere moments ago. Her voice shrill as she stuttered out the words. She was innocent, clearly, or so she wanted this strange tom to believe.

"Don't act all innocent. I saw exactly what you did to him." Riverstar spoke again, his gaze beginning to turn bored. Ah, I thought this one had some potential. He sighed with the thought then flicked his tail in the mutilated tom's direction. "So, what did he really do to deserve this retribution?" The greyish tom sat down, curling his long, feathery tail neatly over his paws. His eyes drifted over the cat in front of him. She was young, he could tell.
She had been caught. That was clear, but this tom didn’t seem terrified of her behavior. In fact, he seemed rather intrigued by her actions. She let out an annoyed sigh and reverted her composure to the one she had before. “He stole my squirrel.” She said simply, a sickening smile sliding on her muzzle. That wasn’t the case at all. The old fool had simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was nothing more then a training dummy.

Riverstar's eyes narrowed for a second, not quite believing the young cat's story. Oh well. A killer like her would be a good cat to train. His thoughts brought a crooked smile to his maw. Yes, this cat would make a good successor for a god. She could be worthy of his knowledge. He wasn't the type to trust just any stranger, though. She would have to undergo a trial period. "Hm. Do you know which cat that squirrel truly belonged to then? Do you know whose lands these are?" He questioned with a low chuckle and an odd gleam in his brown eyes.
She chuckled darkly herself at the question. To her, these lands only truly belonged to the strong. If her parents had taught her anything it was that the strong could hunt and walk where they pleased. After all, the weak couldn't stop the strong from taking what truly belonged to them.
"The strong. Those powerful enough to take it from those not powerful enough to keep it." Her own gaze had a gleam in them, mirroring his. "Although, I assume that's not the answer you seek. So, I'll give you what you believe is the correct answer." She purred out as she placed a paw on top of the deceased tom. "These lands belong to Waterclan, or rather belong to you."
She was certain of it. This tom was no ordinary Waterclan scum. No, his presence emitted power and authority. He wasn't like the rest of his clan, weak and spineless, too afraid to take what could be theirs. This tom would take whatever he wanted, no matter how much blood he had to spill to do it. Interesting.
She thought with a smirk appearing upon her muzzle. This could be fun.

A small half-smile rose to his maw, slowly and deliberately. The eyes that reflected back into his were hauntingly familiar. It was almost as if he was looking into a more wicked version of his younger self. Riverstar had grown up a 'normal' cat to the others. He watched the clan grow weak before his eyes. It was all a part of his plan. They needed him. He was their god. They wouldn't have realized it if he had not spent years pretending to be the cat they thought he was. He knew what was best for Waterclan, even if they couldn't understand that. No one can understand the ways of a god. Except, maybe, this cat. She was not like the rest of the rogues he had run into. She was clever and cunning.
"You're right on both accounts. Those powerful enough to take it and keep it." He responded smoothly. "I am the only cat that can control Waterclan. These are my lands. However, you have proven yourself worthy to hunt on them. Why don't you come and join me in Waterclan? I will teach you the ways of a god." His purr held a wickedness like no other, yet there was a clear line of respect for the young cat in front of him. There were only a few cats he would give this kind of offer to.
Her ear twitched at the suggestion and an equally as wicked smirk appeared on her own maw. They were two peas in the same pod. That much had become obvious, and it was shocking that Riverstar was in no way related based on how eerily similar in personality they were.
"The ways of a god? You say. Why, I might have to take you up on that offer." She let out a distorted chuckle. To her, he was no god. If he was a god, then she was one as well, but maybe if she was loyal enough, or rather trustworthy enough to the rest of the clan, all of this could be hers one day. "I'll admit, this entire situation has been interesting, and I feel like we have a lot we can offer one another." She admitted as she took her paw off the deceased tom and approached the leader.

Riverstar's half smile twitched and grew just a little wider. A gleam flashed over his deep brown eyes. She was going to be his new prodigy. The others would know her wrath like they know his. A rumble grew in his chest at the thought. Waterclan was going to become the most powerful clan in all the lands. He could see it now. Clans would crumble at their claws and finally respect them. I will rise over the rest. I am the god of the clans.
"I am glad you think so. You will do well as my apprentice. Waterclan will be lucky to have a cat with your qualifications on our side. Some of the others are weak, but you will show them true strength. Maybe they will finally learn." He finally responded to the strange cat. His ears twitched towards the body. "We'll just leave him there. He'll either be a warning or an encouragement to those on the outside."
"An apprentice? Why, that makes me sound a peck lower then you." She said with another chuckle coming from her muzzle. She took her back paw and kicked some dirt over the old tom's body. One last disrespctful act towards somebody she barely even knew. Her own eyes gleaming as she walked alongside Riverstar, their pawstep in stride with each others. He would teach her how to take over the clan one day, and in return he would use her as a stepping block towards that goal. She felt her body shiver with anticipation at the thought of being a queen one day. She would rule with an iron fist, much like her father had done. The only difference was that she wouldn't let her guard down, unlike Riverstar, whom she could tell unknowingly had his back fully exposed towards those ready to betray. "So, what does these "apprentices" do?" She asked.
