Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Swiftfire looked up into to cloudless sky, the sun beating down on him. The warmth of its rays brought a smile to his face. For some reason, he felt today would bring something good to him, but he didnt know what it would be. Ever since, SunClan took him and accepted as one of their own, he felt a bit more optimistic. No longer, did he have to fend for himself in the forest where many dangerous creatures might be lying in wait around any and every corner. For the most part, camp was pretty busy by the afternoon, but, strangely enough, not so much today. I'm sure the others are busy with things elsewhere, he reasoned with himself. Shrugging it off, he saw this as a opportunity to keep to maintain his training routine and trotted off toward a clearing in the surrounding forest.
Burningfeather stood at one end of the clearing in the forest. It was small with a sandy layer at her paws. This would be a perfect place to practice her jumps. With long nimble legs Burningfeather discovered her skill in leaping high above cats heads. Sometimes even so likely as to be able to leap to a low hanging branch of a tree instead of clawing her way of the trunk. She was learning to use her unique skill to adapt her own fighting technique. So far she hadn't shared it with anyone. The mottled black and ginger she-cat braced herself back on her paws before launching herself over the pile of sticks she had collected into the center of the clearing. It was about the height of an average cat. She landed easily and lightly on the other side.
Swiftfire stopped a few tail lengths short of the clearing, hearing another cat using the space. Rather than deciding to go elsewhere, he curiously moved toward the edge of the clearing. What he saw was impressive. Not wanting to intrude, he watched the she-cat. It was not often that he'd seen cats with a talent such as that. He sat down, his green and blue eyes observant.
She spun around on her heels ready to make another go of it when her fur stood on end. Someone was watching her. She scanned the clearing before her teal gaze landed on Swiftfire. She quickly sat back on her haunches and gave her chest an embarrassed lick or two. "I didn't see you there. Hi. Am I taking up your space?" she asked ears burning.
He gave her a friendly smile. "No, of course not," he said as he entered the clearing. "It would be selfish of me to say that such an open area would all be for me. You're fine." He stopped a tail length away from her. "The height you reach on your jumps are incredible," he complimented.
It her cheeks could burst into flame they would have by then. "Oh h u...uh tha... thank you." She shank into her small shoulders eyes shifting in embarrassment. "I've always had strong legs. Though I'm not very fast. I love jumping." She lifted her eyes to meet his curiosity in her teal gaze. "Did you come to train? We could spar... if... if you want."
He beamed a smile at her, seeing her response to his words. "I have come to train, but sparring would be great!he replied. He was always ready to spar, to improve himself. He curbed his excitement for a moment. "But, I mean, I can wait my turn if you're still training." He didnt want to distract her if she was in the middle of something.
"Oh no!" she shook her head fast. "I was just burning up some time. I'd love to have a partner." she purred She trotted over to her pile and took a few sticks in her jaws and dropped them over to the side of the clearing.
"Are you sure?" he asked as he watched her clear the sticks from the area. A part of him hated to ask, but another wanted to make sure he wasnt bothersome. "
