Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The stars were fading as Pantheondrift ducked out of the camp unseen, or so she thought. The black and white she-cat padded along the worn path her fluffy tail swaying behind her as she made her way to the stream. she wasn't much of a swimmer or a fisher. However the cool water did wonders for waking a tired cat in the wake of dawn. Her ears flicked as the sounds of critters waking for their morning routines tickled her senses. She would remember to hunt on her way back to camp.
Silverstreak's eyes opened as he yawned and stretched himself awake. Rogue beams of light littered the mouth of the warriors den. He stood to his paws and stretched again, releasing the tiredness from his body. Time to get to work. He exited the den and took a look around the camp to see if others had awoken before him but no one was in sight. However, there was a recent scent heading out of camp. He followed it and made his way toward the stream.
She settled on the waters edge and dipped a paw gingerly, breaking its smooth slow flowing surface. She brought the paw up to her muzzle and rubbed the water over her face. A few stray drops rolling down her long whiskers to land on her paws. Her ear twitched at the sound of an approaching cat but she did not look up. "Come for a bath too?" she asked continuing her morning ritual.
He stopped mid-step surprised at her hearing ability. He wasnt trying to be stealthy, but he tried to keep his steps quiet as to not disturb the surrounding wildlife. "Just a bit thirsty," he replied before continuing forward. Reaching the waters edge, he took a sip, refreshing cool liquid filling his mouth and streaming down his throat. He let out a satisfied sigh as he sat down before looking over to the she-cat. He opened his mouth to say something, but it appeared she was doing something and didnt want to interrupt.
"Yes?" She asked shifting her gaze to look at him. She purred lightly amused by his lack of forward nature. "The water is cooling. Quite a relief don't you think?" she blinked finally turning her head to face him fully. Curiosity in her expression.
He shook his head. "Its nothing really." he replied looking at the she-cat. "So, what brings you out here," he asked curiously. He looked down at the water, his reflection looking back it him. It was an odd thing to ask, he admitted, but it kept it from becoming awkward.
"I am a creature of habit." She admitted following his example and looking down into the reflective surface. "I try to start my day with a trip out here to start fresh. Like the water washing away yesterday and leaving a clean slate for today." she blinked surprised she was being so open. "Its something my mother used to do every day."
He frowned. "If you dont mind, what happened to her?" It was a dumb question to ask something so personal, he thought and he shook his head. "I apologize. I didnt mean to ask such a personal question." He continued to stare into the water as his embarrassment grew.
