Windchaser laid in the nursery, her firey bundles of fur suckling at the curve of her belly. She licked each one, naming them. A purr rumbled in her throat as she stared down at her creation. She had big hopes for them.
Illuminatedpath had been out hunting, he'd been reluctant to leave Windchaser's side as she'd been so close to kitting. But she'd turned to him and mentioned she'd like a fresh rabbit. So of course, he'd gone off to find her a plump, newly caught rabbit as there were none in the fresh kill pile. He came bounding back into camp rabbit in his jaws and he saw the crowd of cats outside the nursery. He dropped the rabbit at his paws. "are they here?"
Rubyflame who sat outside the nursery her own kits playing outside so they didn't disturb Windchaser and the newborns nodded. She let out a mrrow of amusement, "They are, go in and say hello!" She said stepping aside.
Illuminatedpath stepped forwards before turning and quickly picking up his rabbit setting it down outside the nursery before stepping in and was greeted with the sight of his lovely mate surrounded by the litter of kittens and his eyes were filled with emotion. "They're-they're beautiful," He breathed.
Windchaser's eyes brightened when she saw her mate come in. "I'm sorry you missed them being born! But here they are!" She flicked her tail for her mate to come closer and meet their beauties.
