Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Stellarkit scrambled out of the nursery and into camp, her ears pricked. Her sightless gaze staring blankly, though her ears swiveled for sounds and her nose twitched for scents.
Autumnkit stood beside her, the bright kit's eyes wide in awe. This was their first time out of the nursery. "Wow, Stellarkit! I wish you could see this!" Autumnkit mewed breathlessly to her sister. The flame colored kit scanned the camp, her own amber eyes trying to adjust to not only the bright light of day but also the distance. She had never looked this far before. "If this is how big the camp is, I want to know how big the forest is!" She chirped.
Stellarkit stayed quiet. She never really was one to talk. She didn't really have anything to say either. However, the bustling camp hurt her sensitive ears. "There are so many cats" she finally mumbled after a long moment of silence, her ears ringing from all the sounds and her nose twitching like crazy as all the scents of each cat overwhelmed her.
"No fair you guys beat me to it!" Rainbowkit complained loudly as she walked out of the nursery. Her grey cream tail hovered above the ground slightly fluffed out. Her pelt was ruffled as she gazed around excitedly. "Wow camp is huge!" She meowed her eyes widening with amazement. "Should we go exploring Autumnkit? Stellarkit?" She turned to her two sisters.
"Yeah! Lets do it!" Autumnkit bounced when Rainbowkit suggested they go exploring. "What do you think, Stellarkit?"
The blind kit turned her head toward Autumnkit and stared at her as if she could see her even though she couldn't. "Sure. I have nothing better to do."
“Oh, no no no.” Foxfoot’s deep voice cooed as he lightly trotted to his adventurous little kits. The somali tom picked the kits up and brought them back to the nursery one by one, finally setting his smallest daughter Stellarkit last into their nest. “Daddy has to go on patrol in a few minutes and mommy should be getting back from Softpelt’s den soon.” He ran a rough tongue across his kits heads, pulling them closer to him and further into the nursery with a large feathered tail, a loud purr rumbling in his throat. “You can have a little adventure when mommy gets back to watch you lot. Okay?”
"Dad!" Rainbowkit complained when she was picked up and dragged back to the nursery. Her eyes narrowed at her father. "Why can't we go exploring on our own. We won't get in trouble I promise!" She complained rather loudly.
"Yeah, we were going to explore the camp!" Autumnkit piped up in defiance.
Stellarkit didn't say anything when she was hoisted up by her father, though a pouting look was plastered on her face. When her father set her down, she sat down crossly. She could do things on her own, she didn't need to be carried. Just because she was blind doesn't mean she couldn't find her way into the nursery.
Fawnheart slipped in a few moments later, her soft cream fur smelling of herbs. "Hi!" She purred, nuzzling Foxfoot affectionately. "Did they give you much trouble?"
He licked his mates cheek and nuzzled her back, his tail now brushing her back lightly. “We got some little adventurers here.” Foxfoot chuckled. “I’ll be back from the noon patrol soon, at least by the evening. Don’t give your mom a hard time, okay girls?” He gave his daughters a soft squint before winking with a smile. The tom gave Fawnheart another quick lick before turning and exiting the camp with his patrol.
"Adventurers, huh?" She looked down at her kits lovingly when her mate left the den. "Did you give your father a heart attack already?" She asked, amusement gleaming in her amber eyes.
Autumnkit flicked her tiny tail, "No! He made us come back inside the nursery! We wanted to explore camp!"
Fawnheart purred, "Very well. I will sit outside the nursery and watch you explore. Just stay out of the dens. Especially the medicine cat den. That is not a place for kits to play." She looked sternly at her kits, letting them know that she was serious before slipping out of the den and laying in a sunny spot outside of it.
