Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Shae looked at the felines in front of her. Quite a group of them, they were. Honestly, it was something that she allowed this many toms around her at one time. It wasn't exactly a secret that she was an active practician of misandry. Most of them were remnants of what Jezibelle had started, or perhaps Nemesys. Three of the cats were of her own selection. She was curious to see what they were made of. What brought the others to their position? Would they last long now that the tides had changed? Were their loyalties tied too much to the former regime? These were all questions that Shae intended to answer, and answer quickly.
She sat on the top of the corvette's hood. This would be the place that she would have most of her meetings, it seemed. It wasn't necessarily the most private spot, but Shae hadn't given up on spending more nights in her monster than in the Heda's den. It seemed more natural to test them, or at least the two she hadn't selected herself, right here.
"What an interesting bunch you are," she meowed with a smirk. An interesting bunch, indeed.
( okay so general nova is actually just a hallucination of shae's, so um...basically, just pretend she's not there xD )
The newest general of the coalition squared her shoulders, meeting the Heda's eyes. Why had she, of all cats, been picked for a leadership role? Nova couldn't discern why. She'd always had a low tolerance for breaking the rules, sure, and she knew she carried a fairly commanding presence with her, but she thought she'd made her distaste of taking the center spot pretty loud and clear over the years, but apparently that didn't mean anything when a cat who was essentially for all purposes a newcomer took over. "I'd like to think that's a compliment," she murmured in a low tone, so low she wasn't sure any of the other cats would be able to hear it, "but after I've gotten you know you better, I'm not sure it will be."
Polyphemus looked around. He was the youngest here, that was for sure, yet for some reason he felt a sense of belonging. He was glad his mother wasn’t here to sneer, at least. That was the last thing he needed.
"And what could you possibly mean by that, doll face?" she meowed to the General, her eyes amused. The last time she had been around, she had been very careful to make her image that of a sheep, a cat you would be willing to trust. Three days into her leadership, had she already destroyed this image, shown the entire world the monster that she was? The very idea was entertaining to her. "What else could it be than a compliment?"
"A factual observation, perhaps," Nova replied, with the faint traces of a smile on her lips. "Alternatively, a subtle insult." She looked around at the others in the den, her eyes narrowing as their silence continued. Were they not as keen on banter as Nova was? Perhaps they were just intimidated by their new ruler; Nova couldn't lie and say she wasn't intimidated, but she also felt a strange connection with the new Heda, for reasons she couldn't quite pin down. Probably just ate something weird. "I don't suppose you called this meeting just to chat to us, though."
Octavia was not like the others. Shae and her had quite a history behind them. Her pine hues eyes gazed steadily at this new heda. Her lips pressed into a fine line as she found irritation beginning to settle inside herself. Why was Shae speaking to nothing? Her eyes slowly narrowed, but her face was nothing but a blank facade. She’d wait to speak.
Akatosh who had became a Luminary underneath Octavia was one of the oldest Luminaries. Older then his fellow Luminary Subject Zero and the new Luminary Polyhemus. The black and white speckled tom looked down at the younger tom. His blue and yellow eyes silently judging Shae's choice to make the younger tom a Luminary. He then looked over at the new Heda. Keeping his gaze on her, noticing how she appeared to be talking to a blank spot in the middle of the group of four Luminaries. Akatosh's eyes narrowed in at the sight. He began to question how sound of mind the new Heda was.
"You are correct," Shae mused with a flick of her tail. Her gaze moved to the rest of the cats. "You have exactly thirty-six seconds each to tell me why I shouldn't end your lives as a collective right now. You included," she meowed to Octavia, a sudden darkness flicking through her gaze. "If you cannot make a claim strong enough that convinces me that you should stay on my staff, you will not stay on my staff, even if you were by invite." The small of stature feline blinked. "If you fail to convince me that you're worth luminary position, you will be removed from my Coalition, either by choice or forcefully, whichever you find would be more entertaining."
