Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Burningfeather stretched her forelegs out before her in an attempt to rid the sleep from her limbs. She had had a restless night with little more than batting away stray tails of dreaming felines in the nests close by. Lately it seemed her purpose was lesser than the usual members of SunClan. She had stepped up when a call for patrols was raised but she had easily been passed over for more suitable cats. Flicking her toned tail she trotted towards the freshkill pile to selected the most dejected left over from the night before.
Morning prayer wasn't quite the same without Foxstar. And afterwards, the whispers of the clan as they shared their prey was angry chatter, wondering how to make the Regime pay, how to get their Priestess back. Slaughterfish found herself picking something small from the pile and glanced at Burningfeather, her tail twitching a slight greeting.
[[ don't mind me too much, i haven't caught up on the clan drama yet. but hey poor Foxstar D: to be hidden away from the sun! ]]
She wasn't expecting anyone to be out of prayer yet her face burning as she herself had slept through it. She hoped Slaughterfish wouldn't call her out for it. However as she approached she returned the felines greeting with a twitch of her ear and a slight nod followed by, "Morning!" She bent to sniff a small sodden mouse and a half eaten squirrel.
( Don't worry. Foxstar seriously deserves it. xD Feel free to message me to get caught up on all Foxstar's sins/drama stuff. As well as any clan customs you're confused about. <3 )
The Priestess' daughter, a WaterClan born cat who'd come in and passed initiation when ripplecough had crippled her home, offered a slight smile, her sleek coat shimmering in the early morning light. She glanced up a moment, at the den Littlebird and Foxstar shared, to where Littlebird had finished the prayer only a short time before. Indeed, they were among the first of the warriors to be grabbing prey. Other than the kittens, queens, and a few apprentices, not everyone was keen on eating. Some went immediately to training, forgoing the communal breakfast. Others were more concerned with chatting, and would eat in a few moments. Some were only half a wake, though this was usually the initiates and younger members not used to the prayer at the crack of dawn.
From picking through the remains, she'd managed to find a half decent fish from the day before. Not nearly so good as fresh, but it hadn't been out in the Sun, and the night had been cool enough to preserve it, rather than turn it disgustingly rotten. Of course, SunClan didn't usually eat fish, so it was unlikely the others would fight her for this particular prey. "Want to eat with me?" She questioned, her tone light, though she seemed to be half stuck in thought if the other warrior really looked.
Burningfeather instinctively tipped her head to the side. While fish was definitely not her first choice for a meal the offer warmed her heart. "Sure! I'd love that! Thanks!" She scanned the large clearing for the perfect lounging spot and flicked her multi toned tail at a small patch of sunlight under a small yew. "How about over there? It should stay cool till the sun is at its peak." She purred proud of her observation.
