Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar ran and kept on running, the wind flowing through her pelt. She never liked to run, but in DayClan it felt great because she could feel infinity like static in her paws. There was no end in sight. Some clans might run into other clans if they kept running, but DayClan she could run forever and never go back to the same place. It was the feeling of infinite freedom and its taste could only be described like a drop of water after nearly dehydrating on a desert. It felt deserved, refreshing, life saving. Glowstar slowed to a stop and looked around. She had run neck deep into their territory, was anyone else even around? Glowstar's tongue hung out like a dog as she panted slightly as her head swerved around looking for a familiar face.
"It feels nice, doesn't it?" Windchaser purred, approaching her leader with a polite dip of her head. Her swollen belly swaying as she walked. "Unfortunately, I can't join you until these little rascals are out" she chuckled. "Oh but how much I enjoyed running before." Her green gaze drifted as she reminisced before blinking her attention back to the present.
"Jeez Windchaser, but you still took a nice hike all the way out here?" Glowstar laughed.
She rolled her shoulders back and panted a bit in thought before focusing on her more sternly, "I really don't like you out here, after what SunClan did to so many queens. I mean, obviously now I would lead a legion of doom into their fortress if they took one of us, but still, I'm just worried... Y'know after what happened with Rubyflame."
Windchaser stared down at her paws at the mention of Rubyflame, grief flashing for a split second in her green eyes. She lifted her head back up to look at her leader, her expression soft. "I understand your worries, Glowstar. I may not be as nimble as I was before getting pregnant and I may not be able to take on a patrol of Sunclan cats but you know damn right that I would give one hell of a fight." Her green gaze hardened as she spoke, as if daring a patrol of Sunclan cats to march over right now and try to take her by force.
"Like Rubyflame had and like I had when we were both forced to stay in SunClan? One hell of a fight is a fun story to tell after moons of being held in a prison isolated. Foxstar might be gone right now, but SunClan's questioning us, I don't like the way they've been looking at us lately. You're the one that's likely to be targeted. If you're going to do this at least have a well trained assassin by your side, power of friendship and all that, right?"
Glowstar's tail leaned gently against WIndchaser as she gave her a reassuring smile.
"Well trained assassin?" She pulled away from her leader. "With all due respect, Glowstar, I dont need a kit sitter. I'm capable of holding my own. Everyone suffered when we were trapped but me and Illuminatedpath escaped, remember? While I appreciate you being cautious, Im fine." Then she paused for a moment, a light shining in her eyes. "Wait. If you dont trust Sunclan, why are we allies with them? They are taking advantage of us. I found Autumngossomer on Dayclan territory a few sunrises ago. They are mocking us and you allow them to. We would be safer if you didnt allow our allies to cross the borders." She hated arguing with her leader. She was more loyal to Glowstar than any of her other clanmates. She grew up admiring Glowstar and would never dream of betraying her. However, some of the choices Glowstar made, could potentially put them in more danger.
"I'm just sayyyyyin," Glowstar said, mumbling something about assassins not being appreciated and how she almost got killed when she was pregnant and how you never know when dangers gonna hit you.
She perked up at Windchaser's criticism, "Because I love her, Windchaser. Besides, before she took over DayClan we were pretty cool with each other. But she murdered my husband and best friend and stole Rubyflame's kits and enslaved my clan and convinced me that my nephews and nieces were my own and then let a sentinel take them back, I mean it's just courteous that if you give kits to someone that you let them keep it. She also damned my friend to being single their whole life. So now things aren't okay, but I mean hey, we needed MoonClan so I accepted our renewed alliance... That and Foxstar and I have this curse where if we fight again our clans will be set on fire. So yeah, I waaaant to break this off, but I can't. So I'm going to slowly convince NightClan to have our back and then we can ease Foxstar into realizing we're ditching her and hopefully avoid the prophesied apocalypse. So yeah, you're choice if you want to go waltzing around here, but we're one argument away from being roasted."
Windchaser placed a paw over her forehead and sighed. She brought her white paw down her face before continuing, "why would you agree to this in the first place?" She flicked her tail in annoyance. "She did all of those things to you. Broke your family. Torchered your clan and you let her get away with it because your afraid of a curse?"
"Because, she can't upset me, I can't upset her. Which basically means, I can't have chaotic fun that damages her ruthless conquering. And she can't have ruthless conquering that ruins my clans peace. The curse came after all the bad that had happened. There's no way she can betray me unless she wants an apocalypse, there's no way I can betray her unless I want an apocalypse. So, this is the best peace we're ever going to get. If we didn't have this curse, I'd turn against Foxstar and we'd just be at war for the rest of our days cause we're too stubborn. This way is the best way any of this could have ended," Glowstar shrugged.
Windchaser looked away for a moment, unsure of what to say anymore. Glowstar was right. As much as she didnt like it, Glowstar was leader and her word was law. "I still dont like it. I would prefer to be able to walk through my territory freely without worry of being attacked." She growled, flicking her tail in annoyance.
Glowstar tipped her head back and groaned then looked at Windchaser with a solemn look before giving a whiny groan again knowing that she was right.
"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnne," Glowstar said, by the time she finished the fine with a gasp for air she was already close to SunClan's border. In fact she wasn't even sure if Windchaser was near her anymore, but kept talking, "I'm going to go to SunClan and make things safe for you, for everyone, for my insanity."
"I've gone to SunClan plenty before, I am a SunClan cat, I passed their initiation and they have no reason to turn on me. I'm only coming in peace and if I get tortured, it's just some bonus fun," Glowstar shrugged, "besides, I can't say no to you," She said pulling playfully at Windchaser's cheek.
Windchaser pulled away from her leader, rubbing her cheek with an annoyed look on her face. "At least let me go with you." The ginger warrior insisted.
"Alright, but this is apart of your assassin training, we're doing this jackal style. You need to be nice to the SunClan cats, submissive even maybe. We want to gain their trust and befriend them. And honestly, I'm not even going to be doing this for malicious intent, I genuinely want to befriend some more SunClan cats and be on better terms with them to ensure a more peaceful future. When you chase away someone from your border you're only protecting your clan for today. But when you befriend an entire nation, you're protecting your clan for years to come. I want SunClan and us to be on good terms, so. This is a quest for peace and friendship. So... Basically what I'm trying to say is if you're joining me you have to be nice and I know that's sometimes hard for you when it comes to outsiders... and being close to the proximity of Heatherpaw," Glowstar said, trying not to call Widnchaser mean or judgmental or harsh to outsiders when that's exactly what she meant. At the same time she fully trusted her Immortal Council member with the opportunity.
"Sunclan doesn't deserve us." Windchaser went on, flattening her ears, ashamed she was going against a training session. "They think we are weak, Glowstar. That is where kindness and befriending gets you. You let your guard down thinking that your clan is safe but then they turn around and destroy you. I respect you. I always have. But this is a losing battle unless we show them that Dayclan is not weak. And how do we do that? We close our borders. No trespassers. If Sunclan is caught on Dayclan territory without an excuse, they should be dealt with. Even if Foxstar isn't here, as long as she is leader of Sunclan, I will never trust them." Hurt reflected in her eyes as she remembered the pain and suffering her clan had to go through because of Foxstar. She remembered the beatings her mate put up with in his attempt to escape. She remembered the emotional and physical trauma she had encountered, herself. After what Foxstar did, Windchaser didn't trust her as far as she could throw her. Which wasn't very far at all. "Peace only lasts so long."
(I like that in one rp Glowstar's giving a speech about how DayClan can't give up on SunClan. And then in another rp like one day after she's talking to Burningstar like, "Yeah SunClan's crazy, let's be friends with Renegade Regime." xD)
"If you want peace you don't talk to your clan mates, you talk to your enemies, Windchaser. You can put the borders back up and live a safe modest life such as the ancestors before you. But I assure you that in doing so you will neither lose nor gain anything peaceful from it. Because I know that the world isn't dangerous just because of the monsters lurking outside of our paradise, but because of the people who don't do anything about it, who choose to hide behind their borders. So let me promise you a bit of truth, monsters cannot be defeated by claws and fangs. Maybe there is no easy strategy to peace, but if you never strive to achieve it, you will never touch it."
Glowstar stared off at SunClan in the horizon, "If peace truly is a losing battle than I will lose in the most worthiest of battles."
Her kind emerald eyes rested on Windchaser and she felt uncertain if she understood and gave a little grin, "If you can just take one piece of advice, I'll tell you what I always tell my kits. Be a nuisance where it counts. Like you're doing right now, also you're totally not following me to SunClan, not with that attitude," She added slyly, but in truth she had little worry. Littlebird was her best friends daughter, she felt protective of her and had confidence that Littlebird would be a good leader, even a good temporary one. If there was ever a time to work things out it was now.
(Lol! Nothing is wrong with friendship! Windchaser is just trying to look out for her clan and make sure Glowstar doesn't endanger herself either! Windchaser is too much of a protector lol! She cares too much even if she doesn't show it directly!)
Windchaser thought about what her leader said. She didn't believe in trusting other clans. She believed in peace treaties but she would never allow them to walk on her land. That put their whole territory in danger. She didn't quite understand why Glowstar defended Sunclan so much. If she didn't know any better, from an outside eye, she would think Glowstar was a traitor. Windchaser appreciated that her leader risked so much for them but the ginger warrior didn't trust anyone outside of her clan. Especially any Sunclan cats, even if they had Dayclan blood.
Windchaser laughed when Glowstar mentioned her not coming along with her into Sunclan territory. "Your not going alone, Glowstar. Leader or not. If you want to go talk to your 'friends', then we are burning daylight." The pregnant warrior turned toward Sunclan territory, flicking her tail.
Glowstar blinked and smiled kindly refusing to tip her head back and groan about Windchaser coming. Mainly because she was concerned after what Windchaser said that things wouldn't work out well, but Windchaser was smart and she figured Windchaser while perhaps not playing nice, would be be polite and respectful, far more than she would anyways.
"Alright, let's go," Glowstar grinned as she relented with a wave of her tail.
(I'll go make a thread later for them to head to SunClan!)
