Kellen watched them move in and out of focus with mild curiosity. Oh, the dedicates of Brookclan. Their lives were made up of serving their gods and the tsar. If he said nothing interesting ever occurred there, he would be wrong. It felt so empty, though. Where was the breath of fresh air? His eyes then shifted to her form. Her grace seemed to capture his attention like a blackbird against the bluest sky. There was his breath, yet she took it from him. The wily tom was known for a care-free, blissful attitude. Many perceived him as kind and the odd one out of the Harlow family. They were wrong. Kellen was selfish. He only cared for his own coat. That was clear after his affair with Medusalith. He had only done it to achieve what his heart most desired, yet she was still out of his grasp. She was an E'clair. Even then, she was the Tsar's sister. Him and Loki weren't exactly on good terms. He loved to tease her, though. He got some pleasure from keeping the Brookclan leader on her toes, but she had found his weakness. He was not allowed to have her.
Kellen let out a huff of frustration as he continued to watch her. Nothing had ever been out of his reach before. Nothing had ever stolen his attention from himself, except her. Zivon.
Turning due to the heat on her pelt, like fire licking into her skin, the multi-colored blue and gold eyes of Zion landed on Kellen and gazed upon him unblinkingly without a single expression. Within, her heart quietly hammered in the cage of her chest, but she knew she wouldn't betray herself. She had gotten too good at controlling her outward appearance; she had to. As a royal, it was expected of her to remain calm and orderly.
The black she-cat that had been standing in front of her sister, telling her of the duties she expected of the Cyd, slid her green eyes over in the same direction her sister's were focused and found her eyes narrowing into slits. Kellen. That brute again. She glanced back at her sister and then squared her shoulders.
"Zivon, come." She barked, turning to leave. Her sister looked away from him and began to pad alongside her.
