Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Under the endless expanse of a cloudless, bright blue sky stood a crumbling, overgrown building that had once been a church. It's walls, holding up nothing but air, seemed to reach up towards forever, with ivy vines slowly curling up the columns like snakes that worshiped sunlight. Birds perched on various ledges and trees growing throughout, their cheerful song of the summertime echoing across the empty air. Hidden within the overgrowth and behind piles of rubble that scattered the area, curious feline eyes peered out, their slender bodies hidden in shadow.
Their eyes followed a patrol that had just entered the camp, one that had returned with two extra cats than when they had left.
The first stranger was an elderly, ragged brown tabby tom, large in stature and broad-shouldered. He was a mountain of a cat, whose body was littered in old, faded scars of battles from long ago. Dark forest-green eyes were fixed defiantly at his paws as he was escorted forward. His face was similarly expressionless, the only sort of emotion given being the occasional hiss if a member of the patrol moved too close to him or his companion. Overall, he seemed more annoyed about the situation he was caught in than anything else.
His companion, however, seemed to be the tom's opposite in every possible way. A slender, petite grey tabby she-cat followed in small, cautious steps. She was not as old as the tom, but not necessarily young either; she held an air of both grace and beauty about her. Her head and eyes were focused ahead of her, but her face had an almost uncertain look to it, as if each step she took had to be carefully planned in her head. A closer look would reveal that her eyes, a cloudy pale-blue, had no sight in them.
The strange pair had been discovered trespassing on Absum Lux's side of the city fence line. There had been a confrontation, the tom threatening the patrol when they got too close to the she-cat. A bit of a mistake when he realized who these cats belonged to, and that he was vastly outnumbered. Which led them to now, being brought before the Absum Lux Heda for questioning...and probably punishment for the stunt they had pulled. As he was shoved forward and stumbled over some rubble, the tom hoped that whoever the group's new leader was, they would at least be understanding of their plight, and best case scenario; merciful.
Upon hearing about the trespassers, Jezi had been prepared to be cold, and ruthless, and it didn't matter that she was expecting kits. That they were to be due any day. She was still the leader, and still had to be strong. She had expected to catch a glimpse of her father's fur before his scent hit her. She froze for a second before her brain caught up with what was going on. The trespassers was her father and step-mother. "Tempo?" The heda blinked in confusion. Why were they there, in the center of her camp? Had they just been passing through or had they planned on joining Absum Lux anyway?
“You know these punks?” The voice was only barely anything more than a purr, her ice blue eyes flashing. “Probably a good thing that we didn’t tough ‘um up a bit before bringing them to ya, then.” Shae sounded amused at the very idea, but there was always a regret that lingered in the wolf’s tone when she resisted her primal urges. “They’ve got gall, the lot of them. Especially when ya take just one step too close to the pretty lady.”
Shae spoke so casually, but it was very clear her interest had still piqued. Without the intention to, her patrol had brought cats to Jezi for some sort of reuinion. How interesting.
