Ravenmask blinked his eyes against the bright sunlight. He was tired from not getting much rest because of the nightmares he'd been having. But his sense of duty drove him out of the camp and into an oak grove in search of prey to bring back. Besides, he figured if he got himself exhausted from running around chasing prey, maybe he'd be so tired tonight that he'd sleep without the haunting dreams. It was worth a chance. Now all he had to do was find a squirrel.

"Hi there!"
Birchpaw pranced up behind the warrior with a wide grin on his maw. If the apprentice had been dealing with nightmares, it wasn't exactly obvious. He was bright, happy-go-lucky, and a bit on the hyper side all the time. Nothing was different now, even with nightmares. "Can I please, please, please go hunting with you? Please?" He begged with a hopeful gleam in his amber eyes.

The black and gray warrior nearly jumped out of his fur at Birchpaw's greeting. "Great StarClan!" he exclaimed. "You really startled me." He looked at the apprentice as he was trying to calm his already wrought nerves and contemplate his request. "Well," Ravenmask mewed, "You're already out here." He cast a glance over at an oak tree where a frightened squirrel had run to safety after the apprentice's loud entrance. "Alright but you have to be more quiet, a lot more quiet if you want to catch anything. Have you hunted squirrels yet?"

Birchpaw gave the warrior a sheepish, embarrassed grin. "Sorry Ravenmask." He meowed with a little giggle before carrying on, "No, I haven't gotten to yet!" The idea of catching a squirrel had always been exciting to him. You have to be fast to catch squirrels.

"Okay then," Ravenmask. "Mind if I show you how?" He figured since they were training the apprentices in groups now, it really wouldn't matter too much if he gave Birchpaw a few lessons. "Whose training group are you in?"
