Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The lanky tuxedo watched with narrowed pewter eyes as the sun began to rise towards the tops of the trees. The prey would have had their morning meal and would be basking in the returned warmth of the sun. There was no time better in her opinion to go out on patrol. Her eyes slid from the bright sky to the camp that milled around her. Darkwily and Burningember would probably arrive soon, but her paws itched to get moving sooner. She had felt trapped in the camp since her sibling's death and the lingering effects of greencough had her on edge.
Darkwily padded quickly over to Bonemaiden, the leader of their patrol. "Where is Burningember?" he asked, his tone annoyed. "We're missing all the prey."

Bonemaiden peered curiously over at the tom before shrugging. "Darkwily is right. Let's get moving while the prey is still lazy." She responded with a flick of her skinny tail. The truth was, she was not very familiar with the two toms. She had always been the fiery type and brashness had earned her a place among one of the most disliked warriors. The truth was, she was not afraid to speak her mind. There was not a hint of softness in those gun-metal eyes.
"Alrighty then," he responded. This was his first patrol without his brother, the more responsible of the pair. These two didnt seem all that bad, although something about the she-cat seemed a bit...off? Burningember dismissed the thought from his head and focused on the task at hand.
With a grunt and nod of his head towards Burningember, he followed the she-cat. He never understood why cats of clans acted the way they do to their own clanmates; he knew everyone's story was different though. He stayed silent for most of the walk. When he started to smell prey-scent, he spoke softly. "Are we going to head to a specific place?" he asked.

Bonemaiden flicked her tail in the direction of the woods where the trees began to thin out slightly. "I figured we could use a stretch. How do you two feel about chasing some rabbits and squirrels today?" She questioned, her tone lighter than what it was before.
Burningember bounced on his paws, grinning at the question. "I'm always ready to go," he said proudly. "This will be easy." He looked at Darkwily expectantly. "Are you ready?"

Bonemaiden glanced between the two of them, mildly bemused at their awkward banter before setting off. "Alright, let's hop to it then." She typically wasn't one for jokes, but Bonemaiden felt the need to lighten the mood somehow.
