Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar's ears laid flat against her head, it hadn't been exactly a treat practically dragging Deal around. But soon it would be over, they reached MoonClan and Phoenixblaze was well aware of what was going to happen. They needed the Moon God or Glowstar was going to have to climb the stars up to the moon and drag the guy down to restore Deal back to his usual self. She hadn't waited at the border, it was too much of an emergency. She didn't realize MoonClan was probably tense because of their feud with NightClan, but did know that this was an absolute emergency.
As far as Deal knew, they were here to recruit help and having previously talked to Phoenixblaze it would hopefully look like she had everything under control and Deal wouldn't think much of it. Or at least it better or else she'd have to puncture his pressure points and drag his limp helpless body wherever he was demanded to get this curse lifted off. How was it that everything Foxstar did to Deal it always seemed to come back to bite her wayyyy more than it did Deal?
"Phoenixblaze," Glowstar called out hoping she wouldn't act like she didn't know why they were here and they'd get down to business.
The small dark ginger she-cat slipped out of the shadows and came to stand before the DayClan leader. "Just announce your presence to the whole territory why don't you." Phoenixblaze hissed out. She wasn't really a fan of this whole idea since she didn't exactly follow the teachings of the Moon God too closely but she did recognize that he did exist.
The dark and white tom stalked after the leader with his head low and suspicious eyes snapping from side to side, taking in the leader and their surroundings. His paws prickled as every sense screamed danger and for the hundredth time he considered turning back now and leaving Glowstar alone. What point was there to keeping his word when he knew that she wouldn't care, that she couldn't hate him any more than she already did? His tail lashed. He should just turn and walk away. Trespassing on another clan's territory was a terrible idea when they all hated you, he decided, even if one of them was supposed to help them.
Deal stopped. He was preparing to leave when Phoenixblaze appeared in front of them, and he ground his back teeth, silently debating if he should stay or continue to leave.
"That was normal pitch, do you like... Whisper or something?" Glowstar asked before waving her paw away from the question, "Besides the point, this is Deal and you already know why we're here so tell us what to do."
She kept her words vague, but still clear to the plan she discussed/ lied about to Deal. As far as he knew Phoenixblaze was an allies who would help them take down Foxstar while in actuality that wasn't true at all and they were here to remove the curse that Deal probably swore he didn't have.
"Head to the Moon Creek I guess." She responded with a slight shrug. She hadn't been there during Swiftstorm's botched lives ceremony and Elmwhisker had left the clan not long ago and he'd been the only one still in the clan that had ever communed with the Moon God.
"Oh my StarClan... Okay! Deal, we're going to moon creek, it's peaceful there so it makes sense that we won't be bothered," Glowstar said.
Phoenixblaze had no idea about the Moon God, she could see it in her eyes. Glowstar could remember when she became leader of DayClan she didn't exactly understand how StarClan worked. Coming from Revolution Groups it just wasn't a talked about subject. Now it looked like Phoenixblaze was in the same boat she had been in. Her emerald gaze turned to Deal to make sure he was coming with.
"The Moon Creek." Deal stated flatly, staring at them with suspicion once more as he halted and refused to move further, dark green eyes narrowing to slits. This wasn't right. Everything here had felt off and now he was even more certain. "There are closer places. More peaceful places. Less.... loaded places." His tail lashed and he took a step backward away from the pair. "That's a long way to go just to discuss your enemies," he accused.
"Oh great you didn't explain anything to him." the she-cat commented. Although if she was honest she didn't really understand most of what was going on either.
"OHPhoenixblaze, you're too much. Of course I explained everything to him," Glowstar said, as she obnoxiously nudged Phoenixblaze's shoulder three times.
They couldn't let him in on what they were doing and of course no ordinary cat would really follow along that Deal's been cursed by the God of the sun and they needed to go to moon creek for Phoenixblaze to undo the curse. It was a bit of a mouthful, that and Phoenixblaze didn't seem to have much of a grasp on how to do that, but the most number one thing was not letting Deal in on this so she didn't have to knock Deal out. But more importantly so Deal didn't bolt because last time it took her quite a while to actually catch up to the long legged tom. How did she not know before that he was faster than her?
"We're going to Moon Creek, Deal because it's somewhere Foxstar would literally never go to again. I mean it says MOON in the title. Plus none of the janus will be spying around there. It's perfect, trust the logic of it," Glowstar reassured.
"You're an idiot," Deal muttered, but he did relax ever so slightly. His coat still prickled with the wrongness of it and he didn't trust the newcomer at all, if anything she seemed almost as unhappy to be here as he was, and she had come willingly. Glowstar's reasoning was convoluted and unnecessary and that was exactly how he remembered her being, so maybe it wasn't so far fetched after all she wanted to go all the way to the creek. Pointless, but just like her.
Phoenixblaze scowled at Glowstar as she very noticeably and pointedly nudged her in the shoulder. However, when Deal at least agreed to go with them without a fight, she was a little relieved. It still didn't cover the problem of her having absolutely no idea what she was going to do once they got there, considering she still believed in StarClan and not the so called Moon God. But they'd deal with that once they go to it.
"Great," Glowstar said as she proceeded over to Moon Creek. She made sure not to turn her head too much to make sure Deal was following so he wouldn't grow suspicious and instead acted like she was concerned that Phoenixblaze wasn't following, it allowed her to at least glance at Deal. When they neared Moon Creek she could hear the blissful sound of gentle water moving through the land in front of them. She withdrew a breath, "Alright, Phoenixblaze I'm just going to let you lead this since we came to you."
Phoenixblaze sighed as they reached the Moon Creek and Glowstar made it clear that she was expected to somehow know what she was supposed to do to get rid of this so called curse. She stared at the sacred waters for a moment before deciding to at least follow the usual procedures for what happened here and hope something occurred. She padded up to the edge and took a drink from the creek.
Deal was grimly quiet as he stalked after them, brooding as he so often was now, his piercing suspicious gaze boring holes in their hides. He hung back as they neared the water until his head jerked up sharply to see Phoenixblaze tasting the water. "Don't do that!" he snapped. "That isn't just normal water for drinking!"
